  1. I used to think this board was football smart. Now I see a lot of this board is incapable of deductive reasoning. Vic-I went back and charted our throws. We threw the ball out of 11 personnel, 12 personnel, and 21 personnel. Here is how it looked. 11 personnel- 22-33(67%) 284 yards and two sacks. We had explosives passes of 22, 19, 32, 50, 22, 17, and 25. 12 personnel- 3-6(50%) 3-6 for 39 yards and 4 sacks. We had one explosive for 20. 21 personnel- 2-3 28 yards and O sacks. You know what that tells us? The more you lean the offense towards Ewers strengths, spreading it out, the more successful we are passing. Ewers was dealing anytime we dropped back in 11 personnel. The throw to Golden up the sideline? 11 personnel. The scramble drill ball to Golden again? 11 personnel. The RPO TD to Moore? 11 got-damned personnel! We got ourselves in trouble trying to run it and getting behind the sticks whether it was a negative play or a holding call. You think he is hiding Ewers but he isn't. He just doesn't always play to his strengths by dropping back in 12 personnel and not even really sending Davis out in routes. It's hard as shit to throw to 3 against 7 or 8. His stubbornness to keep trotting out there in 12 personnel against Georgia is killing the offense. Everything bad that happened was due to us getting behind the sticks. Even in the aggy game the fumble was out of 12 personnel. Sometimes you guys gotta stop with the hating and see whats going on.
  2. Lol. You talking about the Helm play? Look at the line of scrimmage and tell me what you see happening. Tell me what he was supposed to do there.
  3. No clue what you are talking about. Dude is throwing out of 12 personnel probably more than anyone in the country with a conventional offense and we are keeping people in to block a lot. The more receivers the easier it is to throw the football because it cleans up the coverage picture and gets you favorable matchups. The things you guys think you see man. For example on the should've been an interception ball we had 3 receivers to the left. They were defending it like most teams defend it. One at the line and two defenders about 7 yards either side of the triplets. Most defenses man that up when they get that look and Georgia's safety turn and rain with(I think it was) Helm for a couple steps before peeling off back to the receiver. That's an easy mistake to make and great defense by Georgia. Quinn rarely gets fooled by coverages so he is seeing the field pretty well. So far we've got an overthrow vs OU. 4 batted balls. A ball deflected in the air by Bond. And two great defensive disguises by Georgia. Georgia has been the only team to fool him.
  4. They came out and drove the field on the first possession for 75 yards. In fact their three scoring drives were from their 25, 33, and 25 yard line. There were no short drives for points until OT.
  5. 0/5? Is this a rushing stat? Because the QB thread is that way ---->
  6. They trotted out their freshman backup quarterback and proceeded to score 19 second half points. There are two halves to a football game. I am tired of you guys dumb ass bullshit. Go look at Ole Miss time of possession. Worse than ours. Ole Miss kicked 4 field goals in the second half. That's it. They held Georgia to 3 second half points. 3! Their defense played better than ours. Why are you arguing that?
  7. Lol. You think our weak spot is the QB? If the weak spot is the QB why is everyone not loading the box to stop the run and instead they are sitting back in coverage all game and refusing to walk the safety up? I will answer that for you. They are afraid of him. Go watch that 3rd down where Moore scored. We caught Georgia walking a safety up and you know the rest of what happened. Opposing defenses are telling you who they think the most important person to stop on this team is by how they choose to play week in and week out. They aren't sitting back in coverage because they are afraid of the running game.
  8. I don't know maybe because Ole Miss protects better only giving up one sack. They are in 11 personnel or 4 wide almost every play creating matchup nightmares. They run HUNH. No slow developing playaction they just drop back and throw the football. We came out in the first quarter doing that and Quinn was lighting them up. That's because that is his strength. Then we dropped back into 12 personnel and trying to play football in the 80's. Again, Dart threw for 191 and 1td and 1 pick. The defense did the rest. I get that you don't like the kid but he threw for 360 vs Georgia. We dropped a TD pass, missed two field goals, and had 11 penalties. If our defense holds Georgia to 10 points, we don't have a million penalties, and we don't drop TD passes and miss field goals we run away with that game 29-10.
  9. If Quinn was playing for Ole Miss when they played Georgia Ole Miss beats Georgia worse than they did with Dart at QB. What is your point?
  10. Dart threw for 199 1td and 1int and ran for 50. Not exactly lighting it up. Their defense turned them over 3 times, got 5 sacks, and held them to 10. We hold Georgia to 10 and we have a new piece of hardware. Milroe is it.
  11. Colt went out of the Bama game before a point was even scored. You can't claim "cooking the fuck out of" on that one. Colt was 3-1 vs OU. Had a fantastic game vs Ohio State in the Fiesta. Got knocked out of NC game in the 1st qtr. Had a rough game in the Big12 championship game.
  12. Imagine thing Quinn has never taken over a game. What championship game has Colt ever taken over?
  13. I know right? A good quarterback should be able to beat Georgia without ever running the football. Next year Arch is gonna throw for 450 on Georgia even if we have 31 yards rushing and convert every 3rd down no matter the down and distance.
  14. Sark doesn't want to get his QB hurt running the football because there is a very real chance he may need him. Seems pretty straight forward to me. Especially when your starting QB is already limping around with an ankle.
  15. Which if Texas was self scouting they would expect that and wash the entire D-line toward their slant and pop the run in the cutback lane. You know. Like this below. Not sure why we fully insert our head in our asses when there is a G on the helmet across from us. SEC Championship Game Texas vs Georgia - YouTube_1.mp4
  16. Everyone on that play does a good enough job except Conner and Golden. If Conner can just hold on for a split second longer Wisner can run up Majors backside who will turn and combo the backside LB with Helm. But Conner can't and dude is sitting in the hole when it's time for Tre to make a decision. The edge would still be available if Golden did his job and Tre would be able to scoot around the end for 4 or so. Golden seems to appreciate the dude's jersey number choice and give him a pass. "Go get your stats my dude".
  17. That's the thing. It's games like Georgia where he shows up. He holds up okay vs the rest of the schedule, even aggy. Georgia is just it man. They got dudes on top of dudes and if you struggle anywhere they will find it. To be honest thank the Lord for Milroe or those dudes would've had 3 trophies in a row.
  18. This is it right here. With Wisner a defense can be aggressive because you know he is going to be where the run is called. So as soon as you see your run keys you can get downhill to the spot. Bijan would stick his foot in there and when you got there he would be gone. So a defender had to scrape and fill or risk him popping from a different hole for 40. That gave linemen an extra beat to get a hat on someone.
  19. This right here. IZ is better for the RPO game. There are more RPO options off of it. It also doesn't expose your quarterback like OZ does on play action. But we suck at it for the most part so Sark went with tap dancing instead.
  20. They also played better defense than we did against them. Georgia only scored 10 points. They turned them over 3 times and got after Beck with 5 Sacks. Ga won the TOP by just about 5 minutes.
  21. This is an interesting take because I think it is also true. We were better schematically vs Aggy by far! Guys were finding their man and getting a hat on them. Aggy has NFL talent up front just undisciplined. They are physically capable though and we looked like we were playing against Sam Houston. Then you put in the tape vs Ga and guys are busting assignments everywhere. That little bit of difference in speed and suddenness is freaking them out. Good call.
  22. Look at their over-pursuit on the OZ play. We wash down their entire D-line linebackers included. Look at their backside DE getting caught on the inside. Just awful defense. They tried their best to play the Quinn Ewers prevent defense with having their safeties back just willing to live with what we got on the ground. But not 200 yards. 23. Indeed he did. Georgia is fucking physical and well coached. Contrast what you are seeing with how the Aggies played us the week prior. No one gets initially whipped at the line and in fact they are able to easily climb to the second level. Even the receiver gets a nice block. Aggies just are pussies. No fight in them. They are happily accepting these blocks. Thank you sir may I please have another. SEC Championship Game Texas vs Georgia - YouTube.mp4
  24. Both TEs are on the right side of the formation. We pull Campbell to kick out the DE. Juan Davis pulls around as a lead blocker. Campbell needed to bring some pop so he doesn't get knocked back into the backfield. Both Majors and Conner get whipped. Conner's was physical strength. Majors improper technique. Three linemen failed for three different reasons. 52 for not bringing enough effort and aggression. We turned the LT loose to climb to the second level and block a LB then Campbell replaces him by blocking the DE.
  25. I haven't watched much Clemson but looking at the box scores the answer appears to be no. They do seem to be able to get after the QB.
