  1. Fragility- How does it work? Here is someone being willfully obtuse because the topic hurts too much. Black people are 14% of the population and 7% of the corporate work force. Middle class blacks spend their entire day in white spaces. School. Work. Grocery store. Gym. You name it. In fact, navigating white spaces is a requirement for survival, while white people generally avoid black spaces. So you can miss me with that "I chuckled imagining that Thatguy" shite. I can look over my fence in all directions and see what y'all are doing. Lol. Carry on with the we hate Sanders because he is shucking and jiving and wearing chains and shades.
  2. Why would I bet against someone I hope the best for? Besides, I wasn't the one who said he wouldn't be in the first two rounds. I said it would hurt him. He should be a top 10 pick if he had hands and 10lbs. I want the kid to go out in the yard, turn the machine on, and catch ball after ball with his hands until he is comfortable NOT just basket-catching everything in games. Then I want him to get to 182lbs. His draft stock truly depends on what he runs. If he runs in the 4.2-3 range then it won't matter what his hands and build are like. However, if he runs slower than that look for him to fall. He ran a 10.55 in track in high school. That's somewhere in the 4.4 range. He looks a hell of a lot faster than that on the football field though. Some kids don't run good 100's though. Goodwin ran about that time but still clocked a 4.27 in the 40. Charles ran a 10.13-.23 depending on where you look, and he ran 4.39 so 100 time doesn't always translate.
  3. Tutu is 5'9 and 165. He weighed 155 when he was drafted. He ran a legit 4.39 40 time so of course people are going to look past his shortcomings. He is tiny, shifty as hell, and has blazing speed.
  4. Worthy has awful hands. God awful. That is going to hurt him because in the NFL catch radius is a thing. He is absolutely elite with the ball in his hands and at route running. HOWEVER, his size is an issue because he has trouble getting off the line and can be easily rerouted during his route. He also doesn't win 50/50 balls. Someone will grab him because his game speed is crazy fast, but those are his issues.
  5. I just wanted to take a break in the action to say that some of you better hope to god we don't keep winning. Because I'm going to necro-bump every sorry ass thread about how shitty the coaches are from last year and 21. Some of yall are hiding but we bout to pull the curtain back. You don't get to jump on the wagon now.
  6. So you are telling me, a black person, that I have no idea what the majority of black people do. You do realize that me and you can meet the same black person and you aren't going to get the real person right? How they greet you and talk to you will be code switching and how I greet and talk to them will be totally different. What we dress like at the job and what we dress like at a family gathering may be night and day different. I am not saying EVERY black person is out there sporting gold chains, but I am saying you sure as shit aren't going to know the community unless you get welcomed in someone's family and come to some gatherings. Carl at the job isn't going to pull back the curtain. He is going to give you Tony Dungy. Meanwhile you say the things that Sanders is doing aren't inherently black traits. Where the hell do you think he got them? Maybe you need to watch these.... https://www.pbs.org/video/code-switching-being-openly-black-zxqh0i/
  7. There were black boxers before Ali. His point is valid.
  8. Anyone is going to do the interviews if asked. We just got ranked 3rd even though its a little high for our performance level. We didn't ask for that, but we damn sure aren't going to say no thank you either. Don't be weird.
  9. Prime has always been who he is. Is he flashy? Yes. Tom Herman pulled some of the same shenanigans and didn't receive 10% of the same vitriol that Prime does. You see the problem is that YOU have a standard that YOU think he should live up to, and if he doesn't then YOU deem him a bad role model and a jackass. You should probably look inside yourself and ask yourself why that is. However, if you don't know I will explain it to you. Black people, like myself, prosper by(like I eluded to earlier in this thread) code-switching. This isn't something we want to do but it is a necessity to defuse the majority group and fit in. Deion isn't doing that, so people are alarmed by what they perceive to be antics. Most people don't know that there is a huge cultural difference there. We sing the Stevie Wonder song for birthdays. We sing Amazing Grace totally different than other people. We nod up to each other instead of down. We greet each other differently in general. All across the country there are black people wearing shades and chains, so you are kind of insulting millions of people when you say that stuff is a clown show. Also, almost every team has a turnover gimmick. It only bothers you that theirs is what it is because its attached to him. Now I am not calling you a racist. I am saying that you are conditioned to think that all cultures should act the way that you think they should, which is exactly why code-switching exists. Because if we came to work without trying to be you then none of us would have jobs. Deion is a showoff. That much is true. But so is my neighbor with his Porsche's. So is my daughter's friend who lives a few streets over with a 15k square foot house? Who needs that? No one, but as long as they stunt the way YOU are used to them stunting its all good right? Oh lord the dude is a multimillionaire and wears gold chains. Meanwhile the dude is saying all the right things in the locker room and has 5 kids, all who seem to be doing well for themselves. Once again, I am NOT calling you a racist. I honestly think you are a pretty solid poster. I am simply saying we all need to embrace other people's differences and quit expecting them to live up to a preset standard. Most of the hype on the guy isn't even his own fault.
  10. This team should never be compared with 05. EVER. 2005 Horns OVERCAME the shitty offensive scheme. They took a basic ZR and lead the country in scoring at I believe 51 pts per game( just going from memory). Ramonce Taylor was an NFL player but he just couldn't keep his head on straight. People forget about Selvin Young, another guy who saw time in the NFL. Then Charles ended up being one of the best RBs in NFL history. Someone said our receivers this year are better than 05. You know what our receivers did in 05? They caught the fucking ball. One of our most iconic moments that year was a receiver catching a high ball over two defenders to beat Ohio State on the road. Get the fuck outta here until our current receivers play that big in a moment that big. The line back then played angry. 4 of them went to the league. You know they were good because 180lb Colt McCoy wore out OU with them as a Freshman and he didn't even get his jersey dirty. Defensively their LB corp was shit, but they didn't need them. MGriff and Huff cleaned everything up. D-Line was as good as this one, but the secondary was where we were special. We had 3 bad ass corners. You know you are good when a thorpe award winner has to play nickel. We didn't even run anything exotic either. A-Ross was a gifted returner. They all had ball skills, and Griff and Huff had a lot of range. That said, those guys paled in comparison to the 09 group. 136 tackles for loss. 46 sacks. 25 INTs. 99 PBUs. Caused 25 fumbles. Muschamp's group....absolute monsters. ET, Keenan, Kindle, Houston, the Browns, the Achos, Aaron Williams, Randall, Okafor, and Vaccaro all got run in the league.
  11. I will say it since a lot of you won't touch it. Black people, in the US, suffer bigly from the "crabs in a bucket" mentality. I hate it. I try to tip the cap when I see other brothers who made it. That is definitely not reciprocated all the time. It's a shame to see Prime catching such flack for what he is doing by other black coaches when, if things work out, he will be paving a path for other black coaches to break into coaching and do so "being themselves". We should be wishing him well for their own sakes, but instead we are the first ones lining up to tell him to "remember his place". A shame really. Reminds me of this.....
  12. bitchass outta my way little man......That's what you say when you chuck someone aside like that
  13. That last run says Baylor has thrown in the towel.
  14. I was gonna be pissed if they didn't call that false start
  15. Refs shorting us on spots and being generous with theirs. Calling PI. We need to put some distance between us.
