  1. There are posters on here that I genuinely like, agree with on most things, but disagree with on this one. You are one of those guys. That said there ARE also guys who take the Quinn stuff too far. Like Simms far and of all fanbases we should know this. Paid or not we are on the doorstep of pushing another player to the point they don't feel comfortable coming back to the 40. I know for a fact that Quinn is NOT enjoying his experience here at Texas and it was very hard for him to come back here for another year. If I know that about him coming back last year imagine where he is mentally about it this year. What you guys don't understand is that everyone reads this board. They don't interact but they read. Keep that in mind. You guys may not think Quinn is good but he is still one of our own.
  2. No it is not but it was me that said it and supposedly I am Quinn's Kevin Durant account. Or his dad. Or an agent.
  3. Until you post a video with a couple bad passes from THEIR favorite player and then it's the clutching of pearls. Weird
  4. People were saying how we can't run an offense without being great at throwing the deep ball and with a QB who couldn't run and i pointed out how Brady made a career in an offense based around the short passing game while being relatively immobile.
  5. Cut to the 1:12:00 mark. I don't think Quinn was perfect but listen to what this guy says here.
  6. Why? They are both 5 stars.
  7. You are judging on potential. I am talking about current play. Wingo will be great but he isn't right now. Still learning. Bond hasn't been right for weeks now. The interior of our line has struggled vs some pretty light boxes. We are all pissed about the lack of hardware for our guys but if you start naming other guys in the SEC you can name quite a few better before you get to our dudes. I think we are so used to the big12 that we forget this is a different league. Georgia, SC, Tenn, and Ole Miss all have better backs than we do. Bama, Tenn, and Ole Miss all have better receiving corps than what we are currently trotting out there. Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tenn all have better lines than we do from a man to man basis. We have one really really good lineman.
  8. I said currently. As in this very moment. As in what we looked like playing Georgia. Bond-hurt not a factor for weeks. Golden-Awesome Moore-meh Wingo- not ready yet RBs-meh Helm-solid Banks- great Williams- tons of upside but not there yet Interior of the O-line-decent Tenn, Ga, SC, and Ole Miss are as good as we are or better as an offensive unit at this very moment. Now Bond healthy. Wingo as a junior. Baxter back healthy. Williams next year. This isn't the big12. All these guys have talented rosters. At this very moment we have one good receiver. A decent TE. Our line cannot consistently open holes. Our backs cannot get their own yardage. The right side of our line is responsible for 26 sacks this year.
  9. At the current moment we aren't that talented on the offensive side of the ball. Not sure why everyone thinks that. The upper part of the SEC has more skill players on offense than we do currently.
  10. I guess that's kinda true but damn we should've had these threads during the 5/6 win seasons. I am pretty grateful for the guy. He gave us a glass of water when we crossed the Sahara. Since it's Christmas here are things I am grateful for Quinn for. Quinn has led us to more conference championship games than VY or Colt. Quinn has the second best record vs OU of VY or Colt. Quinn had the second best ccg game performance behind VY. Depending what he does the rest of the way he could be the first or second most successful Texas QB in our lifetime. We focus so much on his flaws that we fail to see what he is good at, why opposing defenses scheme against the passing game before all else, and why he made all SEC which is voted on by the coaches. I learned my lesson during Simms/Applewhite. Hopefully the rest do too before this dude decides to never come back to the 40 again.
  11. No other player has a 400 page thread. None. Quinn's thread is pacing with the aggy thread. Think about that for a minute. Back to back CFG and CFP appearances and pacing with the aggy thread.
  12. Every time you post this clip you are proving @Dahobbs and @jimmyjazz's point. Arch's ball is thrown a couple yards from the sideline. Nowhere near where Moore was running. Moore ran the route incorrectly. Cook ran the route correctly. @BurntOrange&White knows this. The throw wasn't perfect but it wasn't a "horrible ball". If you look at the post with the ball in the air it was in line with Moore's initial release.
  13. Yeah Golden has to knock that arm away. You can't let a DB stiff arm you.
  14. You are missing the point. We can't run the football well enough to get people out of coverage. Even aggy was willing to suffer the fate of our running game to prevent us from throwing it. When you can truly run the football you see Bear fronts and safeties in the box. If that happened Quinn would light up the scoreboard. Quinn is always throwing into solid coverage. Go watch how Vandy played Tenn and then think how they played us.
  15. Imagine being the 3rd winningest QB to play at Texas in the modern era behind Vince and Colt. You've won just as many conference championships as they did. You went to the cfp twice in a row and have your team poised to make a play for the trophy and your fanbase can't wait for you to leave.
  16. Brother much love to you but this thread didn't get to 400 pages this year. They were on him last year too. We allowed Penix to throw for 430 yards without getting a single finger on the dude all game. Quinn threw for 318 and no picks and when we lost this thread blew the fuck up. I know it may not have been you but that's the reality. He's been looking over his shoulder for 3 seasons with 3 different QBs.
  17. There y'all go. Not sure how you missed it.
  18. We are in the college football playoff two years in a row and in the SEC championship year one. I am pretty sure that qualifies as "winning". The O-line and RBs are struggling and yet I don't think either one of those threads is even on the first page. They ran for 31 yards. The QB threw for 360 and all the hate action is in this thread.
  19. Were you not around for that? People absolutely wanted Card as the started and didn't want Quinn to get his job back when Murph was in. Scroll back and look.
  20. And this post is exactly what I am talking about. Quarterback gets the ball batted at the line and its more boneheaded than throwing into double or triple coverage.
  21. No they don't. First it was Card was better than Quinn. Then it was Murph was better than Quinn. Now it's Arch is better than Quinn. So after awhile some of us start reading the tea leaves and see that some of you just don't like him and he will never be perceived as quality. I don't know if it's where the kid came from that bothers y'all. Seems to be for some. Read BurntOrange's post above. Maybe its how he acted when he arrived on the 40.
  22. Yep. Their safeties ran the alley untouched all night cleaning up anything that made it outside including the quick game. We only made hay inside, but even that was embarrassing considering how highly our line is touted. If we could truly run the football. I mean truly. This thread would be a ghost town.
  23. No one sells out to stop the run vs us.
  24. And we have hung our hat on Outside Zone which DOES NOT work vs disruptive fronts like Georgia's.
  25. Name a part of what I said that isn't true
