  1. You need a new best friend from high school
  2. completely horseshit. We made too many errors but that was fucking brutal. 3-3 game going into the 4th inning, or so, and the other team claims they scored another run in the first inning. We're home team, have home book and same score as ump in field and home plate. They call the PG director on site, comes to the field, ends up reviewing and looking at the game changer and video from the game from multiple phones/tablets. The run in question was a judgement call by the ump, PG guy ends up overturning the initial run in the 1st while we're in the 4th/5th inning, we go from tied game in 5th to down a run and no time left. We had chances to win the game and not let that come into play but I had no idea you can do video review from game changer to challenge calls.
  3. You know T-Bone? Hes a great guy, his son Nacho is a blast. Glad we could avenge you guys, this is first time out at BLD, pretty nice place. Ran into Shep and LilShep, too, always good to see them in person.
  4. Noooo!!! Sorry to hear that, heading out there now
  5. Good seeing you guys out there, good luck today!

  7. Yes, but shit went sideways
  8. But, is Bagwell?
  9. Son is a huge LSU Baseball fan, we're here in Baton Rouge for early part of Spring Break, taking him to the weekend series vs Xavier. Friday night at the game:
  10. How 'bout a flame thrower?
  11. 1984 All Valley Karate Championship, or when Van Damme won the kumite
  12. Oaks Dad's Club= Bats 😆
  13. 3-1 on the weekend in the Super NIT, for whatever it's worth. Lost 6-3 to a team from "West Orange, NJ" which meant NJ, NY, PA, MD and DE, so that was fun. Hope everyone had a great showing this weekend!
  14. Put him at SS and hit him some fungo, having him field the ball and throw to 1B. Whatever is his arm slot throwing from SS-1B is his natural arm slot. Unless he's coming in with a huge negative arm angle from the side when pitching. For a lefty, that would be 6, 7, 8, maybe 9'o'clock, you don't have to correct it *too* much.
  15. Blood in blood out!
  16. We're in the 10U NIT, Bats Baseball Club, this weekend. We're out at Lindsay Lyons this weekend. Could be worse, last year it was Sealy and then Bear Creek.
  17. I use the FAFO pretty much all the time because it's the best
  18. She could play mike tyson!
  19. No!!!! Why do they call you Meat? Why do they call you Blossom?
  20. At that age, we would run variations of this drill. I would use either a speed hurdle, or small soccer done also as a point of reference for their backside. Set the object down on towards back leg. on command, they would slowly step back over the object, engage hip, get into a launch position and swing away. I'd usually have my son hold his swing at extension but they can also do it as a full swing. I like to ask the boys if they can feel the tension on their back hip once they do it correctly vs when they don't. You can do it off a tee, soft toss, angled toss, or front toss and run. A skater drill would also be similar in where they would basically hop from back to side to front side back to back side and then swing away. I'd also used to get a piece of foam from one of our PT clinics and put on back side and tell the boys to push down into the ground as hard as possible to engage their hip. Lots of times they they don't know what to feel for, I ask the boys if they know what a corkscrew is and explain what that does, our back side/core should look close to that motion. I liked doing this drill too, to help the boys know what the load portion felt like, basically isolating the steps of a swing. Hard to start doing more advanced drills if we don't have the basics. Pretty simple but I felt it was a great one, especially at early age. Theres a bunch more you can find, Josh Cathcart has some great ones on YouTube also, hope this gives you a start
  21. 2, recently too. They're not mail order brides though, so maybe not your type.
  22. Chuy is a gap to gap hitter. I'm coaching my son's 10U select team again, we're pretty lucky to have a good set of kids and great parents who've been with us for a few years now. We can tell a big part of our success has been the consistency in our roster and culture we've tried to instill since our inception 4+ years ago. It's an absolute blast. Good luck to all those coaching and playing this spring!
  23. Good thing Alma isn't close to MMP
