  1. Am I the only one who doesn't think it looks like the cheese on the pizza slices is even melted?
  2. You've got to give credit where credit is due, imo: @Gardner Barnes
  3. By what metric do you think LSU qualifies as a Top 5 job?
  4. This post didn't age very well.
  5. So lets say 200 million people are going to get 2k. That's 400 Billion. And he's only collected 195 billion from Tariffs. So we're going to tack another 200 or so billion in debt?
  6. Which is literally no republican.
  7. Lol. What a fucking bunch of old, gray haired pussies. Has there ever been a greater generation of pussies than Boomers? I realize everyone who gets old hates change, but Jesus. Bad Times Make Strong Men, Strong Men Make Good Times, Good Times Make Weak Men, Weak Men Make Bad Times. Boomers, the sons and daughters of the Greatest Generation, are the weakest motherfuckers of all time.
  8. As has your character. Only one way to find out.
  9. I might grab that for myself, but I was thinking more along the lines of something he likely doesn't have. And I think he prefers Bourbon to Rye The ones near me had some Stellum and Chestnut farms that seemed like decent deals. Any thoughts on those?
  10. I stand corrected. *Almost nothing is permanent.
  11. I mean, something great did happen in those years. It just wasn't permanent. The lesson is nothing is permanent.
  12. If those numbers happen in Texas and Florida, both those states turn blue and both houses of congress have massive supermajorities in 2026 and 2028. Color me skeptical.
  13. I mean, which parts of his assessment do you disagree with? In detail. Did he misrepresent anything or anyone in there?
  14. I'm as critical of the democrats as anyone, but the problem is us. As others have talked about on this thread, the perpetual lying, the flooding of the zone with terrible news and lies, we can't keep up. Humans can't keep up. So they shut off. They could replay those clips 24/7 on CNN, MSNBC, post FB ads, whatever. The people who need to see it will never see it, thanks to Fox news and the like, and the FB algorithms and Twitter algorithms.
  15. By Gawd, that's @jkates's music! He's gonna defend a family of crooked sexual assault covering up pieces of shit as great men again!!
  16. Hitting total wine today for a birthday tonight for a buddy. What would you snobs suggest in the 80-100 range that's not the obvious Blanton's or Garrison Bros type of stuff. Bonus points if it's slightly more obscure. He likes Bourbon, but he's not a snob about it.
  17. You could always pay away the principle with payments and just pay out the rest of the interest on the mortgage timetable. Meanwhile, while I'm at 3.5%, I'm stuck in this thing for another 25 years...sigh.
  18. He literally hired someone who was on Eric Adam's staff. Granted, she resigned. But she was on it. I'm simply saying, DeBlasio, when he was mayor, was NOT popular. Regardless of how Mamdani views him. If the guy wants to be successful, and stick around, I hope he does more than follow that guy's blueprint. Everyone loves Lina Khan, including me.
  19. Chainsaw will never believe it.
  20. Yeah, but those savings go right out the door to buy chili ingredients.
  21. That's not really an answer. People spent years here, justifiably shitting on DeBlasio and Bloomberg, and now you're turning around and pimping the guys who were all over his staff as some transcendent dream team? If Gavin Newsome wins the presidency and hires Stephen Miller is all forgiven? I'm sorry I disagree with your take these seem like great hires. I like Khan. The rest doesn't seem too fucking great. And lets not pretend there aren't a fuck ton of qualified people who could step into the NY political machine. Don't act like there's 10 people out there total and this guy just nailed the top 4. "There's just not a lot of experience" isn't a reason to tout hiring a bunch of Jeff Fisher's of NY politics, even if that were the case, which it isn't.
  22. I mean, the resumes seem fine to good, but 3 out of the 4 names have ties to fucking DeBlasio, with a smattering of Bloomberg in there. Not actually guys known for having popular or even populist mayoral runs. Some might cynically call that shit The Swamp.
  23. Not sure how much of textbooks are digital these days, I assume all of them. Which hopefully makes adding removed sections easy. I was assuming Osoff was dead in the water this cycle, but maybe I have a bit of hope now.
  24. A lot of the stuff you mentioned isn't a school board thing, it's mandated by the state. At the very least the 10 Commandments shit. Pretty sure the Bible as History as well.
