  1. lol Trying to make a statement on 4th down, but you have to burn an early timeout.
  2. This game is so similar to last year’s. If aggy wins they will crow about how good they are and how well they played, but the truth will be they were gifted a lot of stepped on dicks.
  3. Buried my uncle today. Another Horn who will have to watch the glory from beyond. Prepare your anus and have a hanky, tide. You’re about to find out.
  4. Good analysis. A few add ons. 1. The tod was a freshman rb missing a key block forcing Ewers into a quick throw. Plus punting was also an acceptable option there. 3. Spot on. This isn’t on the line. The pocket was fine. Quinn decided to run In that same series, AD wiffs on two blocks on the Baxter run. O line was fine. Add on penalties for us, ignored for them, and it adds up quickly. After rewatching, I overreacted to a poor 1st half where I wanted bludgeoned puppies.
  5. How disappointing will it be if he turns out to be just a QB camp phenom? Great at practice and drills and such, but never able to get his mind right after that 'Bama injury. The next time he makes a great play under pressure will be the first.
  6. My problem with the O line quote goes back to the “iron sharpens iron” axiom that people love to throw around. Our O line should have had a field day based on how good our D played after facing them all summer long, tendencies be damned. We’re bigger, better, stronger, right? And Campbell is the only new face, so, what is there to gel? Sark did them no favors with the bone-headed go for it on 4th on your own 30 on the first drive. That just smacks of beyond narcissistic stupidity. I support your optimism, but that opening series was a red flag for me, and I really believe this team is going to be good.
  7. "Once he settled in..." "...was this close..." Sark's interview at the end of the first quarter was concerning when he said the O line needed to communicate better and QE was nervous. Nervous? WTF? You are at home after a full season and an off season playing against the one team you're assured to smoke by 50 points. If there ever was a time to come out with some swagger and John Wick fuck you up attitude, this was it.
  8. Bright side stuff: Worthy is clearly healthy and had a fantastic game. Showed again why he’s a top wr in the college ranks when full strength/speed. There’s obviously still a ton of questions about QE and whether he’ll rise up to be the leader everyone hopes for, but if he gets hurt, it ain’t gun-shy Hudson Card sitting second string anymore. Baxter’s injury is concerning, but, yeah, that one run should be enough to tell even the uninitiated he’s got “it”.
  9. Did I just hear “Thunderstruck” for the 4th qtr intro?!?!!!!
  10. Crawford balled out that series.
  11. Thread derail: Are they still going to do that pussy ass Journey shit at the game where everyone gets their phones out and sings, “Don’t stop believing….”? An article on SI today covered the history of Wisky’s 3rd quarter “Jump Around”, and for real, our “thing” is … (insert your own derogatory explanatory word) compared to that.
  12. The resilience of Sark talk in the Fall Camp thread is like herpes at this point.
  13. I'm on board with this thinking. All coaches have to be somewhat prideful and arrogant, but Sark strikes me as the kind of guy who is willing to learn from his mistakes and maybe knows when to admit his limitations and ask for help if he needs it. Maybe that's just a recovery thing?
  14. I'm going with 10 wins. I can see a scenario where we win more or all of our games, but between the youth we still have, Big XII refs and a "fuck y'all" agenda, angry rabid last conference road games, Bama uncertainty, unpredictable injuries, and maybe that game where we think our shit doesn't stink, I see losing a game or two we should win but don't.
  15. Right. Dude ran out of bounds all game long.
