Yes, the 1985 (my senior year in high school) Class 4A title game was between Lamesa and Bay City, with BC featuring 2 future pro (NBA and NFL) players, and Lamesa featuring athletic Mexicans, role-playing cotton farm kids, and the bad-ass, collective 5-time all state “there’s actually black people in Lamesa?” Mason brothers.
Your memory is great in that regard, but not so much on the game. We lost 65-63, and if there had been a 3-point line and/or a shot clock in those days, we’d have won by 20. As it was, we had a steal and shot at the buzzer that just rimmed out….

I grew up in Big Spring. That should tell you all you need to know.
Lulz I grew up in Lamesa; the Kwikie Grocery on 87 was my go-to spot for “we don’t care how fucking old you are” beer purchase during high school when Dawson County was still dry. I went back in last time I drove out to see the folks, place hasn’t changed at all since 1983…

Yeah, I can barely name 25 players in the NFL but if you gave me 26 guesses as to whose jersey she was wearing, I wouldn't not have guessed Longhorn place-kicker, Justin Tucker. Maybe she's a huge opera fan. That poor kid's face. You know he got all kinda shit at school the next week from classmates that saw him crying on social media.
You know, I like to shit on NASCAR fans as much as anyone. I don't get the sport and I sure as shit don't get their way of life. But I've been to a few races and had to sit through a few on TV with my in-laws. And at least their fans know how to conduct themselves in front of women and children. They're fat, drunk, and stupid but they maintain a modicum of decorum up in the stands. Something about putting that jersey on just makes people's already small brains turn to mush.
Lol go sit in the redneck mezzanine at Talledega wearing a Kyle Busch shirt; you won’t have to say a word to start a ruckus. That poor little waif from the Steelers game would be spitting on you there…

Clowney had great highlights and his final season was mostly him sitting out of games. Simms had promising start and a meh junior year. Only Vince lived up to that 1.0 rating in college and only Clowney can be considered to have lived up to it for a brief period in the NFL, tho I guess there's still a shot for Gary
Vince only really lived up to it from the Tech game in ‘04 though. I know, Mack/GDGD and all, but if we’re just looking at production, the consistency only really started that game. He got pulled against Mizzou the game prior to that….

If Ewers comes to Texas, I will be eating the McRib and will post a picture as proof. Despite the untold damage it will have on my body.
I’m inspired; if Ewers comes to Texas I will drink way too much, eat like shit, not exercise, and be a general fuckface for a full year. That’s the sacrifice I’m willing to make for this team and university….

No telling how much $$$ before Amy Budette Adams starts listening. I couldn’t believe the NFL went so far to also protect the Columbia blue, red and white color scheme from use by a future Houston franchise. Mother duckers.
It’s not the NFL, it’s the Titans’ intellectual property. The only reason Cleveland got to keep their name/units/records etc was that it was a stipulation of dropping their lawsuit against Modell to attempt to block the move to Baltimore. They also (separately) got a guarantee from the NFL that as long as they built a stadium within the next X years they would get an expansion team…

Back in the good old days, when retired NFL players drank a bottle of Drano to commit suicide at 46.
Fuck you, tough guy…
