My mom had Alzheimers for more than 10 years before she passed. For the majority of those years she was unable to communicate with us in any way. After she passed, I was going through her stuff and found a Big Chief tablet that she had used daily for the first few months of her affliction. This was before any of us knew that she was struggling.  She would print the date and then she would sign her name 10 times. Each page was worse and worse and then she just stopped. That was a gut punch. She knew she was fucked and never told any of us that she needed help.

Man that shit must have been horrible. My dad had Alzheimer’s, but mercifully the time span between when it became a true disability and when it finally shut his organs down was surprisingly brief. Sounds horrible to say, but anyone who’s dealt with it knows what I mean….

That’s my biggest problem…I’m 52 but still act like I’m 30. I was playing basketball today with my 13 year old and he tripped me. Ordinary, I would have caught myself pretty easily, but I had already had a couple of cocktails and one hits, so I wasn’t quite as quick to react. Well, lesson learned. From now on, I will only rebound after some cocktails and one hits to make sure I stay safe.

Time for you to make the transition to a 3-and-D guy, fuck driving to the hole. Stay outside and launch 3s when you have the ball, elbows high and head butts on D. He’s young, it builds character. What I definitely wouldn’t cut out is the cocktails and one-hits, at your age that could prove fatal…

First, the players will take the Texans money.

This is first, second, and third, and I don’t blame them one bit. An NFL career is pretty much Logan’s Run; bank as much as you can, while you still can.

And I’m loving the Miami shit; their owner is like 150 and doesn’t give a fuck about long-term impact, community outrage, etc. We might be able to get out from under (“frumunda” cheese, lol) this shitshow yet because we somehow found a bigger fuckup owner than our own Tommy Boy…

  4. A good buddy of mine lost his stepson earlier this year to similar shit. He and I (and pretty much our whole crew) ingested as much of everything we could get our hands on when we were young (80’s, when people who didn’t get drunk or high did mountains of coke) and did a bunch of dumb shit, but at least we knew what we were getting into. This shit is fucked up…

I remember Wheeler posting "Inside source says coordinator to be fired/force retired after Holiday Bowl debacle versus Washington State" in 2003.  Anyway, I was positive that meant that Greg Davis was on his way out.  Days later, it's Carl Reese.  Whom I'd love to have back here at UT right about now.

That game was so much worse than the final score (we picked up a desperate late TD by Roy Williams).  Hated Washington State after that.  Then Leach goes there and that goofy fucker has always entertained me, and they got pretty good from 2015-2018, better than us anyway (at the time).  But other than those instances, you just never think of them as being part of the Pac-8/10/12.

Fun fact though, it was Washington State and UCLA that were the primary two schools that started the final implosion of Texas to the Pac-10 back in 2011/12.  Powers indicated the deal was about 48 hours from being finalized and then papered up.  WSU and UCLA brought everybody back into the 'room' in an attempt to get more concessions financially on TV and poke holes in our ESPN/LHN agreement.  The V&E partner in Austin tells the story much better since he was in the room having negotiated the whole LHN thing with the Mouse to begin with.  Anyway, they had a few points but it gets half the other schools' reps rumbling, "Yeah, that is unfair...they can't keep that much revenue when our teams are on the channel as well.  Blah, blah, blah."  Mob rule sets in, lawyers sent scrambling, and Days later the whole thing is toast and we settle in for a rather long decade in the Big XII.  /csb

That Wazzu bowl game did give us the legendary Mack on a Mobile, so it wasn’t a complete loss…

Celebrating the government having the final say in what a person does with their own body is nuts.

How did the state of Washington get the ‘final say’ in whether or not he got the shot; motherfucker’s still unvaccinated, right?

And this isn’t the government telling ‘a person’ what they have to do, it’s them telling their employee one of the (many) conditions of their employment. As my dad used to tell me growing up, “You can stop taking my advice when you stop taking my money”…

Omenihu inactive yet again…this has to be some ‘culture’ bullshit right?
On the bright side, Greenard now has 4 sacks in the last three games. Would be nice to get something out of these last 2-3 draft classes. Roy Lopez shows some potential, and Nico Collins had some nice grabs today. If this franchise is going to get to playoff caliber any time soon, they’re gonna have to draft way better.
FULL DISCLAIMER - I realize this franchise is a derailed train slamming into a blazing dumpster full of (literal) shit. I harbor zero expectations as long as Tommy Boy is in charge. However, I love my Sunday football and I will always tune in to watch my team, just like I have my entire life. If this makes me a loser, well, get in line behind my wife bitches

Kind of glad there are no big name QB's coming out this year. We can trade the #2 for more picks.

Or deal Tunsil and get his salary off the books and use the #2 on the LT from Bama. If Watson, tunsil, and cooks (plus the dead weight) are off the books by the end of next year, the Texans would be $160MM under the cap; that’s assuming it doesn’t go up (which it always does)….

  9. With the exception on one really bad throw that probably should have been a pick-six, Mills has looked solid again. Given the QB class in this next draft and how bad this roster is head to toe, rolling next year with Tyrod and Mills and finishing off the last of the bad contracts is looking more and more like the best option…

If you told me before the season we'd be 4-3 right now I would have said yea sounds about right but losing the way we have sure stings.

That’s what I’m trying to reconcile in the whiskey hours after the game. If in both cases we’d gotten way behind early, made a furious comeback only to fall just short (ie flip the halves of the last two games), would I be more optimistic? Should I?

Coming into this season, I would have pegged 8-4 as the O/U for how well the season went. I still feel that way….

SARK has a ton of work ahead improving this shitty roster -- sure hope he's the right guy to do it.

Kinda crazy watching Bailor play so well today -- pretty amazing turnaround by Aranda after last season.  Matt Rhule sure did a helluva job of player evaluation in recruiting.

The personnel on the field for Bailor today sure seems a lot more talented than a lot of the guys currently playing for TEXAS.

Can't believe okie lite had a bye before game vs TEXAS.  Both Bailor and the HORNS have Bye Weeks next week.

    Dude…stop capitalizing Texas. So HornFans…

Are you seriously questioning Bijan’s conditioning routine? Motherfucker can do 100 jumping jacks for all I care, that’s the worst example possible…
