Agreed. Probably looking at 2023 to draft a franchise QB.

I’d probably take Neal from Bama if I had the first pick. Tunsil and Neal would be a pretty good OL.Ā
    Ā

Stingley would be tempting too, but the he seems to be catching the injury bug quite a bit.Ā

Id take Neal and trade tonsil; he’s gone in two seasons and you could probably get a 1st rounder for him assuming the team was drafting 24th or higher. He frees up a shitload of cap space, and this team isn’t contending before his contract is up….

You are vastly underestimating the value of the tee and mile-wide goal posts. If he played today, Felony Russ would be remembered more as a punter than a kicker.

Well, he’d probably be remembered as a total fucking shitbag, but that’s neither here nor there

Lol I’m drunk and didn’t read hpuggas post aboveĀ

And you act like every joe blow average kicker was pounding 65+ yarders left and right.Ā  Yes circumstances today are completely different and Tucker's accomplishment is amazing, but that doesn't mean Erxleben wasn't a great kicker.

Mack was typically an excellent game manager.Ā  Managing the clock, knowing when to go for it, and knowing when to fake punt.Ā  Outside of end of Tech game 2008, his clock management at the end of halves or games was almost perfect.

Mack Brown was the greatest coach I’ve ever seen at understanding the right time to call a fake punt/field goal….

Then why don't we save $100M+/year and drop to D3 and play Trinity and Texas Lutheran?

Why don't we see a large number of athletic programs dropping down to lower divisions (which are much cheaper to fund)?Ā  Instead, in my lifetime, only one program has announced plans to drop from D1 to D2/D3, the University of New Orleans, which bailed on the idea before they played a single event as a non-D1 program.

Why do we regularly see programs moving from D3 to D2 and D2 to D1?Ā  TAMU-Commerce just announced they're moving to D1 this morning; Tarleton did it last year.Ā  Incarnate Word, Houston Baptist, etc.

  6. If Al Gore had gotten off his ass and invented the internet in 1910, your bitch ass great great grandpas would have been on surly bitching about how Ā the forward pass, substitution, and pussy-ass helmets were going to ruin the game. You fuckers will still be here, don’t kid yourselves.

Some vendors are open.Ā  Just depends on how quickly they can get set up.

Yeah the ones on the midway and by Big Tex are a little slower to set up, but the ones along the east side of the stadium behind the Embarcadero usually have their shit rolling pretty quickly after 7…

When I found out our school ID's were our SSNĀ I kinda freaked out. Like, wtf? I lose shit all the time and now I have to keep this shit?!?

Lol that’s funny; I was a freshman in ā€˜85 and was like ā€œWhat a great idea! This wayĀ I’ll always know my student IDā€

They used to post exam scores for ScanTronĀ classes as a printout with your full SSN and your grade outside of the exam room (i.e. big fucking Jester Auditorium, green room in Garrison, massive Burdine room, FAC history of rock ā€˜n’ roll room, etc)

Yeah they’re all nosebleeds in the back of the EZ; pick them up if you need them, but don’t anticipate selling them for a profit…

And to be clear, ā€˜nosebleeds’ in the Cotton Bowl are still awesome sightlines…

Culley is an idiot. That much was clear after he accepted the holding penalty after a 3rd down stop. You are up 14-0, and Jacksonville has to attempt a long FG.Ā

Eh, don’t you have to trust your defense to (a) hold on 3rd and 19 and (b) not commit a stupid fucking penalty that had nothing to with the defensive effort at all? That would have turned a 47 yard FG into a 57 yard FG.

Cullee may well be a dipshit, but overall I thought he did a good job yesterday. We’re still going to end up in the top 3 of the draft, I’d just rather not go through a season of 50-0 games to get there…

  12. Man, the talent on this roster is in the 2-3 lowest in the league, if not the worst. Having said that, this team looked well-coached today - no excessive penalties, had some creative play calling, no horrible busted coverages, etc. I don’t expect shit from this team, but honestly Culley rolled a more prepared team out there today than fuckwad BOB did the last 5 season openers….
