Said it before, will say it again; anyone that claims those of us from the south with our accents sound stupid should listen to this fat piece of fuck for 10 seconds (if they can stand it).

I understand these are semantic games, but I'll stipulate that it if Sebastian Gorka embodies it, I do indeed hate masculinity.

That's not reality as I've experienced it though. People secure in masculinity or feminity, who they are really, don't need vanity plates to scream to the world how legit they truly are.

Gorka, like the My Pillow Biter, guy, and Diamond & Silk, are frauds. Grifter weaklings attracted to the.gravitational pull of the universe's biggest fraud Donald Trump.

    Get fucked Seb.

    Ya think?

nextdoor is good for 3 things.

    1. to see the crime and shenanigans in the neighborhood.

    2. get a good idea of contractors for house repairs.

    3. laugh at the absolutely stupidity of your neighbors. this gets old because the stupidity is vast and non-stop.

at least with facebook, you chose your group of idiots. with nextdoor, there's no such choice. everyone is an idiot.

i only venture into the Crime and Safety section of nextdoor. the rest is off limits.

I still haven't signed up despite a couple of attempts by the neighborhood ninnies trying to shame me into it.  When I tell them I'm not interested then they ask me to at least join their stupid neighborhood Facebook page.

Me:  "Sorry, I don't do the Facebooks."

Them:  "Well, can you ask your wife to sign up at least?"

    Me:  "She's dead, so that's a no."

    End of conversation.

Two, maybe three weeks back I had a slightly elevated temp after dinner, 99.1. Checked it 15 minutes later and it had shot up to 99.8. Sorta freaked out internally and went to bed early. Slept most of the next day. Not long afterwards, I noticed a post- lunch fever between 99.5. It went away not long after dinner. Soon I realized that was everyday, a post-lunch fever between 99.5 and 99.9. After looking into it some more, I realized that body temp can rise by up to two degrees while digesting.

Last night I ate way too much pizza and puked it up around 1:00 AM. Since then, I’ve had a persistent low grade fever today, never getting above 100.1, mostly in the 99.5 range. Gotta wonder, was it always like this and I never checked my temperature? Or is my temple thermometer running hot? I have another thermometer, an oral one, that shows a lower temperature. Am I just freaking myself out over nothing? My pulse oximeter shows good O2 stats, so I don’t know.

    Good grief.

But still better in the long run than heroine.

For the amount of money I lost in those 5 minutes I could have stayed toe-down fucked-up on heroine with several mamacitas bonitas for a long time.

You can have my leverages etfs when you can pry them from cold dead hands.

made more off them today than I did in my real job.  Also blew up more money in them In a single day than I made in my real job in month. But yolo.

I participated in the $XIV nuclear bomb.  Bought it 10 minutes before the close the day it imploded and was up 5% in those 10 minutes.  Five minutes into after hours I was down 98% and had no idea until the fat lady was already singing.

    Fun times.

    The good co's?

The degenerate gambling TDAmeritrade account.  Bullshit leveraged ETF's are the worst performers in it.  Good co's / shit co's are about a wash.  I would be a lot better off just using the same strategy as the 401k; put in $X every month into $SPY and forget about it.

Lulz at that choad recommending IBM as a safe individual stock pick over the index funds. They were trading at a slightly higher price 10 years ago than they are today. The S&P was around 1100 at the same time.

Yeah, I have 100% of the equity portion of my 401k in index funds.  Not a dime of it in company stock other than what is included in those index funds.

IRA... yep, index funds.  Every freaking cent.

Degenerate gambling TDAmeritrade account... all sorts of shit co's, good co's, bullshit leveraged ETF's, etc.

Guess which one of the three is by far the worst performer over the last 10 years?

guess we'll find out, as I just entered a stop order for $0.02 on my remaining shares. I figure after the fees, that will leave about $9.00 which will buy me a decent (not great) 6 pack of beer. That alone makes this entire exercise worth it.

If the order went through then you should be fine.  I remember getting a message saying my order couldn't be accepted because of AMEX exchange rules or something like that.  It was back in 2010 so it's likely things are different now.

BTW, picked up a 6er of Pacifico Clara at HEB for 9.90ish.  It may not be the greatest, but I like it.  Maybe move your stop up just a little to cover the 90 cents.

  10. Can you set stop orders on penny stocks?  It was a long time ago but I was fucking around with one as a lottery ticket and my not so good recollection is I could only sell via a market order.  But I could (and probably am) be wrong.

Bad_Teammate, I have been reading about political machines of the past/yesteryear and it struck me that you might have been in favor of those and might actually think a political machine in modern times would be awesome. Specifically learning about Tammany Hall and how it helped the Irish and Jews, etc. in NY. Generally machines typically help minorities and the middle class white folks are against it. That alone made me think of you.

I guess the question would be an ethical one: If something is fundamentally illegal and corrupt, but furthers equality or whatever else-- do the ends justify the means for you? Or are you a "law and order every time, that's us" player even if the law/order is diametrically opposed to your specific and particular ethic, moral or value?

How this pertains to Bernie is that I could see a bunch of Bernie Bros be political machine folks.

Naaah, too much work for Bernie Bros to become a political machine.  The first sign of adversity they throw a fit and quit.
