In FY 2020, MSU will receive $55M from the Big 10; CU, $33M from the Pac-12. Over the next five years, each B1G school will collect at least $139M more than Pac-12 schools. And after the next round of media negotiations, the difference in distributions will grow larger to the point at which B1G (and SEC) schools will likely be bringing in double that of the money distributed to the Pac-12 schools annually.

Cal in FY 2019 posted a deficit of $24M and is projected in FY 2020 to post a deficit of $17M.

Little brother, UCLA, is expected to post the same negative number in FY 2020 and lost $18.9M in FY 2019. The 2019 shortfall was covered by an interest-bearing loan from the University, not boosters. Meaning, a loan provided by California’s tax-paying citizens.

Oregon State and Washington State athletic departments both have tens of millions of dollars in accumulated debt.

These were quotes from one of the articles @kopp0e posted above.  The finances tell you all you need to know about the Pac-12.  They are in a tailspin and the B12 needs to be the aggressor and take who we want.  Given the financial outlook of the teams in the Pac-12, any team would be crazy to turn us down.

  2. I see this getting a lot of traction in the coming months.  The financial disparity is well documented and these west coast teams have to do something.  Hopefully, the B12 is watching this closely and has a plan to be proactive.

    Way too much math.

But good and interesting information.  I suspect the number is definitely closer to $45-50 million by the time the current deal expires.  Definitely an issue for a school like Colorado.

Analysis like this is going on at all these schools.  None of these schools wants to get left out of the next big deal.  Colorado doesn't want to drop to the same income level as Colorado State and Washington State doesn't want to become Eastern Washington.  It will be interesting to see where all the pieces land when the next deal happens.

After the loss in Austin last night, West Virginia is 2-19 in its last 21 Big 12 road games. Is that bad? It sounds bad.

Damn, a 9.5% winning percentage in conference road games?  Ouch!

Tech is the best nine-loss team in the country. Fight me.

I dunno, maybe?  They sure are an inconsistent bunch - beat #1 Louisville on the road, lose at KU by 3, lose to OSU by 3 after beating them earlier by 35, beat TCU by 46 (?!) after losing to them by 10 earlier, beat Iowa State by 30 on the road, lost to Kentucky by 2 in OT.  If they were a little more consistent, I think they would definitely be a top 15-20ish type team but some of these losses (TCU, OSU, DePaul) are pretty bad.  At least the losses to Creighton and Iowa seem to be somewhat respectable.

Seems to play along with the theory that the B12 is just KU & Baylor then a big drop off where a couple of likely 20-win teams (Tech and WVU) sit followed by a bunch of noise.

I will say winning @ISU by 30 and blowing out OSU by 35 and TCU by 46 was eye-catching.  Those are generally November/December warm up margins of victory.  Was surprised to see this in conference play.

  6. The dude just put unbelievable stats and had one (if not the most) incredible individual offensive performances (in terms of total yards) in that game against shitstain Mayfield in that classic Mobilehoma game in 2016.  The dude had over 800 yards of total offensive BY HIMSELF!  It's not like he did it against the New Mexico State defense, it was Oklahoma.  The thing most people don't see was his 3rd down stats in that game 20-25!  WTF?  80% on 3rd down?  Plus, he was 2-2 on 4th down.

Fucking Kliff should be arrested for criminal negligence for not winning more games with Mahomes at Tech.  Yes, I get Kliff doesn't know shit about defense, but still he should have accidentally won 8 games per year with Mahomes.

I  so sick of penny’s complaining on lost in space. Other than that, fun season so far.

Seems like that's all she does.  Season 2 was really good though - looking forward to Season 3.

Also, when the fuck did Palpy have a kid? It would have been around the same time Luke and Leia were born, right? Did he just impregnate some prostitute from Coruscant? Or maybe an intern who just wanted to fuck somebody powerful? I just think it's weird to throw in that he had a son and he NEVER mentioned it at all until the final chapter of the story. Whatever.

This!  Plus, a big plot hole is Palpy had at least one child - where are they and why aren't they in line to succeed him?  Also, if Palpy had Rey's parents killed, doesn't that imply that he killed his own child?  Was this explained somewhere?  WTF?
