  1. He’s definitely not concussed given the headset. Most likely scenario is that his shoulder/hand is dinged up slightly. He could come back in to play but UT could put a walk-on back there and still beat Baylor by 2 scores. May as well sit him the rest of the game & give him the bye week to recover too.

  2. Looked like he cut his hand and touched his face after, making it look like his nose was bleeding too. People are saying it was a shoulder injury but I didn’t notice that at all. Would be shocked if he’s not in by the next drive.

Im shocked. Regardless he won’t be out for long, the refs are the ones that made him leave and aside from the blood he didn’t look hurt at all.

  3. Maybe I didn’t grow up around enough whites, but I’ve very rarely heard it called the “Guadaloop” river. Most everyone I know says it somewhat correctly. And as a non-native Austiner pronouncing the street “Manchak” always sounded stupid as hell. As dumb as “Howston” (houston) street in NYC.

imo, focusing on postseason stats is pretty dumb as they are generally SSS noise.  Maybe if "clutch" was a real skill then I could buy into them potentially having predictive value, but it's not so I don't.

Analytics has started to back off the idea that there’s no such thing as clutch, because there’s evidence that certain players really do perform better in big moments. Jeter out front should’ve told ya.

I'm up for that too. 64 teams, play in game. Let's do it Y'all!!!!!

You’re making an argument akin to saying if you ever let your toddler try ice cream you might as well let them try cocaine because they’re both bad for them. It’s a slippery slope/where do you draw the line fallacy only idiots fall into.

Price was really good against the Astros last season in relief.  I think the rumors of Price being worthless in the postseason are overrated.

In his 10 career postseason starts, his team is 0-10.

Great point, that's probably why it's below the Top 10 for the first time since 2007 in his first season. All those Alabama teams between then and now weren't good so they didn't blow people out.

I'm not out here saying their run defense is the best it's ever been, but it's not going to be the problem many think it is. They could have a straight up shitty defense and it might not matter much with how great their offense is. When you consider that their defense is far better than "shitty", I don't see how an undefeated season is unreasonable.

  8. Lol at all the Bama doubters in here. That team is an absolute machine and they'll easily walk into the playoff undefeated. How much of those rushing yards are given up by the backups who start playing in the 2nd and 3rd quarter?

  9. Weird night last night. I was intermittently checking on the game from an ER room at the hospital, had a close relative in there from a heart complication. He turned out fine for now, but they were wheeling by patients coming in off the ambulance all night. Probably saw at least 2 people in their final moments. Very strange experience, I’ve actually never been less mad about the Yankees being eliminated from the postseason. Perspective I guess.

Wont follow the rest of the postseason that closely, but go Stros for sure.

Ron Darling can suck a lemon.

TBS color analyst Ron Darling, a former big league player himself, took notice, seemingly inferring Benintendi broke baseball’s “unwritten rules” by swiping the bag with a nine-run lead.

“Well, I guess (that’s) from the school of never taking anything for granted. You don’t usually see that. In the postseason, maybe, in the regular season, never,” Darling said on the broadcast.

For added effect, Darling’s broadcast partner, Brian Anderson, followed that up by restating the score.

Fast-forward to the seventh inning. Benintendi again piqued Darling’s interest, this time swinging at a 3-0 pitch with the Red Sox still leading 10-1.

“I found (Benintendi stealing in the fourth inning) unusual, but you know, you can still keep pushing the envelope,” Darling said after Benintendi fouled off the pitch. “But boy, swinging 3-0 in the seventh with a 10-1 lead … there used to be a book, there’s no book anymore, everything’s grey, but I would find that offensive, personally.”

He added: “You have to judge for yourself if rubbing it in ever starts to rub you the wrong way.”

He also made up the story about Sevy not knowing when the game started.

And fuck Benintendi. I concede that he did absolutely nothing wrong. Not in the game, as a player, a person, or anything else. But fuck him anyway.

I've read a couple of articles saying this today and I just can't buy it.  The game ended up 16-1, it doesn't matter how he would have rearranged the deck chairs.  It was just one of those nights for NY's entire staff.

Boone is easily one of the 5 worst managers in the game right now. No feel for the situation at all and just horrible at in-game decisions, all season long. He let a 3-0 game spiral out of control without giving ANY of his best relievers a shot to keep it contained early. Regardless of how tonight’s game or this series turns out, it’s apparent this team won’t go far with Boone at the helm.

I was baffled when I heard either Gus Johnson or Joel Klatt refer to Murray as either the "best" or "greatest" player in Texas HS FB history on the broadcast yesterday. Is he really even in the top ten?

42-0 in 3 years as a starting QB and won 3 straight state titles at the highest classification, accounting for over 14,500 total yards and 186 touchdowns. Yeah he's a top 10 all time TX HS player. He's also an entitled prima dona little bitch, that doesn't change how utterly unstoppable he was in high school.
