Right there with you. I love to cook and I'm decent (despite my posts in this thread). One thing I asked for on our wedding registry (I was 40 for context) was a decent set of knives. I think they were like $120 on Macy register. One of my groomsman who easily could be a professional chef called me and told me to take that crap off my list and bought me a set that was like $500.
Also, two of my favorite skillets came from some a thrift store like good will. One is perfect for omelets that i use about once a week and the other was a Sur La Table (about $120) that needed about an hour of scrubbing with some bartenders friend.
Yeah, that's where I got the idea. I didn't want mess with the smoker when I only making a few. Half had jalapenos.
Would definitely not recommend. They really just came out tasteless. Basically tasted like cornflakes....
Funny enough. My wife has figured out that if she takes the kids anywhere Saturday or Sunday morning, I'll put my headphones on and listened to NCAA/MLB/NFL/Whatever pregrame shows and get all the chores done. As long as we don't have anything we have to do, she'll take the kids to the park or something. I'll clean until noon and then go get some lunch and a beer or two.
For me. I used to read alot. Like at least one book a week. But with kids and work. I may get 3 or 4 books a year now. So, sans family, being able to get up drink coffee and read would be awesome for me.
Ideally, this would coincide with opening day of MLB or the 1st round of the NCAA BB tournament. Read until the first game starts then open a beer and watch sports for the rest of the day.
My wife doesn't drink. I do. She now regularly drives after we've been out to dinner or whatever.
But, when we were dating. We went somewhere where I only had two beers. Got in a small argument over me driving. I said "My driving after two beers is still better than completely sober." But I relented and gave her the keys.
She promptly drove over the concrete parking block in front of our parking space....
3 & 8. The 8 yo has a table that my charger will work on, but he will either let it charge on the island. Or ask if he can borrow it, then returns it......
My wife and I have the same phone. She has a minimum of 3 chargers scattered around the house. I have one. It also happens to charge my laptop. It stays on the kitchen island. When I get home, I plug my phone in until after the kids are asleep or at least until after dinner.
At least once a week, my charger has disappeared because she couldn't find hers...
Only about half the teams have one. But for those teams, it's probably a result of the shorted sprint training limited pitch counts more than anything else.
