  1. Use a foam cannon on a pressure washer to lift a lot of the loose dirt first and rinse it off. Then, do a contact wash with a few new microfiber cloths or a nice microfiber mitt. You can re-use cloths, but make sure they’re 100% free and dirt free. It’s not a horrible idea to just use one or two new microfibers for each wash, then just use those for trim/interior/tires going forward so you know you have guaranteed clean cloths. If you don’t have a pressure washer, you can use a pump sprayer for foam application which doesn’t require a pressure washer. You can just apply it one panel at a time because it’s kind of a pain to do it with a hand pump sprayer. Look up AMMONYC on YouTube. Larry’s videos are pretty great and he’s a good teacher.
  2. Andretti hired Pat Symonds. Intriguing.
  3. Had a macro lens adventure yesterday.
  4. Yep, looks like a Summer Tanager to me.
  5. McLaren out here bringing a new damn car.
  6. I don’t have TikTok so the link just opens to random ones for me, but I have had Tandem align my FJ twice. They do good work. I’ll probably take it to them for some suspension work soon ish again.
  7. They revised the rule for jump starts to actually use common sense now.

    Vinyl

Some are RSD only, some are ‘RSD First’ with a limited release (usually a color vinyl variant) on RSD that will have a larger release later. These days it’s mostly a bunch of crap and most of it you can find later, but there are sometimes gems here and there.
  9. I think that was the Jet he took. But maybe an homage either way. And we definitely need some Big Iron!
  10. I’m thru 2 and loving it. All the little world items and details representing the game more or less like I remember it is awesome.
  11. Not to mention building cars to completely different rulesets. Unless you want to dilute F1 even more by making spec cars or having them slower and even more basic to be the same as F2 cars, the idea is a total non-starter.
  12. Well, it’s definitely Tacoma-based. It doesn’t look bad, but I do kinda prefer the proportions of the old one. This one looks like it has a higher beltline to me, but it may be the door lines throwing me off. I kinda wish the front was more unique looking instead of Tacoma-adjacent.
  13. Russell’s long runs were actually really good, but I won’t believe it until tomorrow night (same for Ferrari).
  14. Yeah, Logan is way too reactionary instead of anticipatory in his movements. Maybe he can go have success in sportscars or Indy.
  15. Maybe not (I don’t know his contract situation), but that is exactly how they lost Max in the first place, since Red Bull offered to put a 17 year old Max in a Toro Rosso (after skipping F2). They obviously know it’s a risk.
  16. But, outside of that, it is very early and the kid is 17 and skipped F3 entirely. It is not unlike measuring hockey or baseball prospects in their league with relative age factored in. The kid could be a Connor Bedard or a Mike Trout, or he could be one of hundreds of prospects that don’t live up to their hype. We will just have to wait and see.
  17. They don’t want to lose him like they did Max. So even if it doesn’t work out, it sounds like it may be something they are willing to risk.
  18. Shit, there is already a rumor that Antonelli may replace him starting in Monza (Antonelli turns 18 the week before that, and that is the age for acquiring a Super License now).
  19. Jay’s in Abilene. Was really damn good. It was Jay’s birthday celebration with live music and stuff though (which I was not aware of), so it made the wait pretty long (almost 2.5 hours). But, at least it was tasty.
  20. Merc already offered Newey a large sum of money last year and he already turned them down.
  21. Looks like this stuff might go back a ways. I had not seen these before.
  22. Going to quote myself I guess since it keeps coming up. It’s all in the telemetry. Last year at AD, Alonso only lifted very early in front of Lewis, he didn’t slow (and downshift) then accelerate and upshift then slow again. The multiple instances of slow fast slow is a very important distinction. Backing up the pack by driving generally slowly is also not the same. The stewards explain all of this pretty clearly in the decision document. It was erratic while also deemed potentially dangerous. Max of course should have gotten waaay more than 10 seconds. Penalties are supposed to finally be harsher this year, though.
