  1. I’ve got: RBR Ferrari/Merc (I think this will be close again) Aston McLaren (for now) I think McLaren might be late on their aero package and will improve after that.
  2. I put together a few then/now comparisons, as well. Then photos from late 50s/early 60s, now photos taken by me in 2016-2021 ish range.
  3. Here’s a cool set of slides I found on eBay a while back that I finally got around to processing. These are Kodachrome slides (I believe, don’t have them in front of me now) during the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam, in Page, Arizona, in the late 50s or early 60s (it was built from 1956-1966). I would of course much rather still have Glen Canyon than Lake Powell, but the sheer size of the operation is incredible.
  4. And the premium package includes the moonroof anyway. So really only 2ish options.
  5. It does seem like this is about it. So the Land Cruiser trim of course has the different headlights, plus multi terrain select and swaybar disconnect standard, then you have 20” wheels, a moonroof, and the premium package (includes leather) as options. That seems to be it (not including accessories). The base 1958 is only available in black, silver, or white, and has zero options outside of accessories (roof rack and rock rails are included here). https://www.toyota.com/configurator/build/step/model/year/2024/series/landcruiser/?bap_guid=004901b1-eaf0-4e60-9897-f2f98918c550
  6. I’m still kinda hoping for a 2 door LC as a true FJ replacement (as long as it’s not too small).
  7. So, just a tad higher than the “mid 50s” rumor, but not horrible. I am wondering how many actual options there will be, or if it will be similar to the older models where they have very few non-standard options. So far I think the known ones are leather, tech package, and swaybar disconnects?
  8. Pretty much what blacklab said, though 2010 is when the upgrades happened, so 07-09 vs 2010+. I’d try for the lowest mileage 2010+ in the price range, but as already stated, make sure it’s not rusty. Mine has 148k and none of the Toyota parts have broken. I’ve upgraded the suspension, but no failures or leaks.
  9. Something else I noticed is that the Merc rear suspension this year has a very flat pushrod arm compared to what other pushrod rear cars had last year (Red Bull, McLaren, etc.). That is a very aggressive geometry there. Probably for aero reasons. Hope it works well.
  10. Has pushrod rear too, so Merc (and Williams) will as well.
  11. There’s plenty of bare carbon on the actual car.
  12. No one knows what it means, but it’s provocative. It gets the people going.
  13. Vasseur is a co-founder of ART and ASM, whom Lewis drove for and won championships with in GP2/GP3.
  14. I’m gonna have to warm up my Grazie Ragazzie. Bono: Lewis, è tempo di martello Lewis: Bono, i miei pneumatici sono morti!!! [emoji24] 🤌
  15. Tbh I do like it better than say, Singapore. The track isn’t great but it does produce pretty decent racing.
  16. Sure, but more street courses is exactly the opposite of what F1 needs. I’d take 5 Catalunyas over this Madrid monstrosity, Miami, Vegas, Baku, and Jeddah. It also means that places like Spa are going to get axed.
  17. I am relatively sure it’s an attempt at a land grab by developers.
  18. I know these ain’t much, but I finally got to use a camera again. Mamiya RB67 | Kodak E100 Mamiya RB67 | Kodak Portra 400
  19. The base trim (1958) gets them as well.
  20. Long Draw doesn’t open until 3/4pm. The BBQ place is closed Tuesday as well. There’s Chili Pepper Cafe and the cafe attached to the gas station. El Gordo’s food truck looks good, too.
  21. Mercedes is on 2/14 again.
