  1. Planned on mowing today, but damn it's hot. Can't wait for this to be over.
  2. There is one here in Graham. I have only been inside three times in two years, but I am pretty sure there is no produce in the store. It is literally right across the street from the Super Wal Mart, so I have no clue how it even stays open. I will admit my daughter needed some sort of pens or something for some art project at school. I was damn happy she wanted to go to Dollar General, because I hate Wal Mart and knew the art supply stuff is at the very back. My daughters like to "shop" so a trip to any store can be brutal. We were in and out of the Dollar General in a few minutes.
  3. It's 109 here in Graham. Hit 113 on Friday. Not sure about yesterday, but I did yard work and it was miserable. Kept myself hydrated throughout with beer. Was a great idea yesterday, but I'm regretting it today.
  4. Saw them this past Saturday. It was the first time I have seen them live. Good show.
  5. The Turnpike Troubadours - Saturday. Part of the Food Truck Championship of Texas. I've never seen them live, so pretty excited. Randy Rogers Band - June 15.
  6. Rock Bottom BBQ in Graham is pretty good. No, it's not the level of BBQ in Central Texas, but pretty good if you are in North Central Texas and wanting some BBQ. Only open during lunch, Monday through Friday though.
  7. Yes, I forgot about HEB. Our United is clean, friendly, and has some good specials at times. But I would love nothing more than an HEB to come to town, Well that, and the fucking Wal Mart to leave town.
  8. Maybe I was late to the party, but my first time to Juan in a Million was about 7 years ago. It sucked. I couldn't believe how mediocre it was after hearing so much about it. Went a few years later, and regretted it again. I have no clue why people go there or how it became so popular.
  9. I moved back to my small hometown 1.5 years ago. After living in Austin the past 20 years, it was time to go. Other than missing out on good places to eat, I find myself wondering why I didn't leave Austin much sooner. I love the small town life. I am more involved in the community than I ever was in Austin. As is my wife. At church, at schools, civic club, etc. We also got to coach our daughters in soccer and basketball. I spent too much damn time on Mopac, especially the last five years or so, to even think about be able to be involved in so much stuff. It doesn't hurt that literally 2.5 months after moving here, we got to vote on whether or not to allow alcohol sales in town. And it passed! I never would have thought that was a possibility when I was in High School. You had to drive 12 miles, in pretty much any direction to get booze back then.
