Concerts you are attending
Radney Foster and William Beckmann tonight at a small, acoustic show in Graham. I mainly went due to this thread and the several posts about William Beckmann. He was great! I will definitely be following him and hopefully get to catch another of his shows in the future.

I didn’t realize they had been playing so long. They are definitely headliner worthy.

Concerts you are attending
First heard them at Crawfish and Cannons in 2021. This was the first year of the event, so organizers were just getting their feet wet. Anyways, Shane Smith and the Saints were the “headliner”. I put quotes, because this was a brand new event and it was small. I said to my wife “They were pretty good. They would be a great opening act for a bigger name.” Fast forward a year. They opened for WCC at Crawfish and Cannons. They were great. I now have them on my music rotation.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
I tested positive for N test via Texas Cares this week. This was my 4th draw. My third draw was on June 28th, and I was still negative then. So sometime between June 28th and October 18th, I caught Covid. Not a single symptom I can think of during that time. Last shot I received (which was my third pfizer) was in November of last year. My antibodies kept reading > than 2,500 on all my blood draws, so I did not see a need for a booster. My antibodies on this latest draw are still > 2,500, which was expected after seeing that I tested positive, so I will probably wait 6 months or so to get the booster. The person who took my blood said that they have now been approved for 7 draws (or maybe she said 6). I will keep doing them. If my antibodies drop below 2,500, then I will get the booster. If not, I will hold off.

2022 Texas Rangers Thread
Going to the game today. First game since 2012. Excited to see the new stadium. And the 72 degrees. Trying to get wife and kids back on the Rangers bandwagon. They jumped off after Josh, Ian, etc left.

Scotland
I was there for 10 days in June. Absolutely loved it. Never really had any food worth writing about. Nothing bad. But nothing I would go out of my way to try. Everywhere we went was amazing. Edinburgh was a blast. If you go to Oban, definitely make the trip to Iona. The beach on Iona was stunningly beautiful.

Open Championship 2022/St. Andrews/Scotland Trip planning
I do not play golf. I have played less than 5 times in my life, and I was HORRIBLE. Some of our group is playing golf at St. Andrews one day. I was thinking about playing, but I have not hit a golf ball, other than putt putt, in probably 18 years. I’m afraid I would hold up the group or get kicked off the course for playing so poorly. I would really like to see the course though. Do they let people go even if not playing? Could I pay to play, but actually just walk the course with them?

Open Championship 2022/St. Andrews/Scotland Trip planning
Flying out on Friday. We will be visiting Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Perth, Inverness, and Oban. Visiting some other places, but these are places we will be staying overnight. I know we are doing distillery in each of Inverness and Oban. Other than a lot of other tourist stuff, pretty much have afternoons/evenings free. Any recommendations on must do things in any of these places?

Fuck HS graduation ceremonies
Can’t stand them. Oldest kid graduated from Austin Bowie when we still lived in Austin. At the FEC. Long as fuck. Luckily he was front part of alphabet, so everyone but wife and I left after his name was called. They all went to our house to start up the party and wait on us to get there. Second kid didn’t get to walk. Skipped too much school. Thank you, son!!! Had to go to a graduation for a niece last year. Fuck! I really wanted a beer. We didn’t get back home that night til around midnight. I will go to my two daughters’, assuming they get to walk, but that’s it. Those fucking things are way too fucking long.
