  1. Pacers just don’t let them get close enough
  2. WNBA has concluded it's investigation into the racism charge towards the Indiana fans and found that nothing could be corroborated or substantiated.
  3. A bit along the lines of what I suggested. I’d add a different compound on each of the five qualifying runs. Everyone has to run the five but, they can be in any order depending on temperature and time of day so the teams have some experimental latitude. Like others have said the cars are just too damned big and the course is too tight/confined. Two years ago when we were walking to the train station after the race we happened upon a storefront that had one of Clay Regazzoni’s cars and it looked like a go-kart compared to today’s cars.
  4. I don’t know what I was expecting from Holmgren when he came into the league but, he has the chance to be something special for a long time.
  5. After reading that I agree with you.
  6. Their website, at FoxSports, looked like it was fresh out of 2004. Amateurish
  7. Chip really knows how to run an IndyCar team. He’s a bit of a strange cat but, all of my dealings with him have been good.
  8. It really is crap as far as racing goes. It really isn't even a race anymore. Perhaps it should just be a timed event. Let everyone go out five times, score five separate laps and take the average of the five and have the winner. Sort of like a hill climb. It's just not really fun, as a race, of course the spectacle is a completely different story. Still, crazy ass weekend for Mercedes. Really terrible. Great day for McLaren. Well done by Lando cuz it is so easy to smack a barrier. It's kind neat that Max, as a single driver, is taking on the top two-car teams in the Constructor's race. Hadjar 6th and Lawson 8th, crazy! With Yuki 17th, ouch. Hell, even Ocon in 7th. Crazy world in which we live. The Ferrari radio at the end when Hamilton asked if the leaders were still a minute in front of him and the 30-second response was the Pizza Maker's Kiss. Too funny. Aston had better make hug damned strides early next season, or fuck them. Completely. Lance Stroll......😂
  9. Hawk, aka Tony Dorsett, is a Hopewell High graduate. His mailing address growing up was Aliquippa. The field at Hopewell is named for Dorsett. Hopewell H.S. has not put out a lot of football players, of course, after TD, there is nowhere to go but down. Rushel Shell and Paul Pozluszny are the only two that I can really remember that did much. Paul was much better than Shell. Shell was a knucklehead. Shell had a great high school career and broke all of Dorsett's record, over 2,000 yards his junior and senior seasons and just over 9,000 for his four years. His talent did not transfer as well as Paul's. Paul played LB at Penn State and played 10, or 11, seasons for the Bills & Jaguars. Shell quit at Pitt and then transferred to WVU where he had some success but, it did not translate to the NFL. Technically, as is the case for many communities around here, Hopewell surrounds Aliquippa. Aliquippa had all the people who worked in the mills and Hopewell were the "hick kids". Now that the mills are dead the towns are dead and the white people, for the most part, live in Hopewell and the black people, for the most part, live in Aliquippa. It's a strange phenomenon around here in that the steel towns were along the rivers and the outlying areas had the land but, no people. Now, many of the steel town high schools could be absorbed into the outlying schools. Some already have and more should. If you were to walk from Tony Dorsett Field to Aliquippa H.S. stadium it is 2.4 miles. Danny Rains, a teammate of Dorsett's on the Hopewell team went to Cincy and played for the Bearcats and spent about five seasons with the Bears, it was Ditka who gave him the opportunity. I'd bet someone got ahold of Ditka's family down at the VFW and made sure Coach talked to Danny. Danny earned a Super Bowl ring with the 1985 team. I know Danny, not well but, I know him. I don't really know a lot from Hopewell. Other than my friend Johnene, who was a cheerleader at Pitt when I was there and another gal, Michael Ann and her family. Hopefully that clears up the confusion.
  10. Seems like Ms. Griner is in a bit of a situation after having fouled out against Indiana the other night. She looks to have been caught, on the bench, calling Clark “trash” and “fucking white girl”. We’ll see what, if anything, becomes of this.
  11. Ferrari communications are fucking awful. This is very close to what I think Hamilton is actually hearing from the pit wall.
  12. I think there are a lot fewer of them out and about than before the sanctions/war. I know many of them have left Baden-Baden in Germany. They were everywhere there.
  13. I’m no fan of Hamilton but, that seems a bit harsh, especially since Stroll is still allowed to start each race
  14. What a great lap by Norris
  15. I don’t mind seeing that. At some point they have to figure out the second driver seat. Maybe, just maybe, the problem is they.
  16. That fuckin’ guy who posted about the mediums. What a jagoff.
  17. Damn, MNercedes, Russell stops in the tunnel
  18. That should be him walking back to Canada. He’s a fucking menace.
  19. Stroll didn’t get through, shocking.
  20. Rough Q1 for Kimi but, he gets through. Clipped the left-front barrier at the chicane.
  21. Stroll nearly with another incident as they get to the chicane at the harbor
  22. Q1 is on the track.
  23. P3, two minutes remaining Hamilton comes to a stop at the Casino. Looks like he smacked the barrier with his right front. The tire is gone and the session is red flagged. He hit the barrier, Turn 3, looks like right at the downside-side of the casino. In his defense there was traffic, Kimi and Ocon, going slowly and on the racing line right at the front of the hotel to the left and he reacted.
  24. Didn’t get to watch the first half tonight. This sure seemed like a must-win for the Knicks
