  1. Took the little car to Heinz Field today for the Pitt Football Kickoff Luncheon Looks good
  2. The only cruise ship I have been on was a one-night trip from Hong Kong to Guangzhou back in 1986. My brother and I were the only two white people on the ship so we really stood out. The rest were Chinese and the ship was way old. I have no desire to go on a big cruise ship, of any kind. They seem horrible.
  3. So now Tank Davis is going to fight Jake Paul. Doesn’t he give up about 50 pounds to Paul? Maybe more than 50.
  4. You and me both!
  5. My German cousins, of whom I have spoken of in other threads, have done work for Abeking & Rasmussen as well as Lürssen, building paint room things, and say that the huge yacht world is an amazing world in which to wander.
  6. Since we still have some time to kill before Zandvoort.....
  7. I have some more from the NYC trip from a little over a week ago. 1. Jersey City from the 81st floor of World Trade Center building; as are the next three. 2. Brooklyn Bridge 3. The footprint of one of the former towers 4. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island 5. Central Park from the 24th floor terrace at the New York Athletic Club 6. My view of town as I head back to New Jersey on the ferry to Weehawken. That crazy looking building is actually a movie theater, among other things. It's at about 58th Street, or 57th.
  8. It's refreshing to see a traditional power like Nebraska focusing on what really matters. I mean, they have been awesome, especially since the move to the Big 10 with a combined record of 88-85. They've had one 10-win season in the Big, that was in 2012, the second year in the league. They started out with 9 wins, 10 wins and 9 wins and since it's been shit with two winning seasons in their last 10.
  9. I made it three seconds into that video. I should get a prize for that brave accomplishment.
  10. I see that K. Plum went on the Sue Bird podcast to clarify her “joke” that was directed at “Team Clark” after the all star game. Saying it was a bad joke and that it was just because Clark and her team were hungover, and I reckon that’s why they were not at the aforementioned meeting which I guess led to the Pay Us What You Owe Us shirts
  11. Yeah, a real “slap in the face”. Holy cow
  12. it was nice to see, in the final frame of that video, that the little kid on the boat was wearing a life preserver.
  13. One of the best, if not the best, horrible movie ever put out by Hollywood. Also, I think I have read over the years that this movie was filmed near too much radioactivity and so many of the cast got cancer.
  14. Just watched the highlights from PSG v Tottenham. On PKs, just kick the fucking ball. Stop with the stutter-step.
  15. I absolutely HATE the Steelers numbers/font as they are now. There was no sane reason to change the numbers. They were perfect. And I agree about the Raiders uniforms. Perfect. Although, I am not sure which I prefer more, the aways or homes. I think the away uniforms when they are a bit dirty are just awesome.
  16. None other than Program-Killer, Steve Pederson. We used to call him Guy Smiley, from Sesame Street.
  17. That was amazing. So awesome
  18. I agree, of course I am partial to our uniforms. I think if Miami went full-time back to their really nice ones from when they first became, The U, they'd be fantastic.
  19. Billy Fralic was also a friend of mine. Great guy with a wickedly dry sense of humor. The term “pancake block” originated with him. He played in a high school playoff game, while at Penn Hills H.S., also Aaron Donald’s school, and it was against Central Catholic. My cousin was the biggest kid on the Central line that game and he said that Fralic, then a sophomore, told the Central offensive line, “If you don’t try too hard I won’t have to hurt you”. Which is pretty damned funny. I loved our uniforms back then. I wish they would tone-down the colors a bit but, I’ll take what I can get after the shit they had in the 90s and onward. Billy died of cancer a couple years ago. Steve Pederson was one of the biggest jagoff assholes I have ever dealt with. Ralph Willard being another. Dan Devine, too.
  20. I have interviewed both Tony Dorsett and Hugh Green. Both great guys. Great football players. Great Pitt Men. That middle picture I believe is from the 1975 game v Notre Dame. Dorsett had 303 yards. It was the greatest game, in person, I saw, until Izzy Abanikanda had 320 and 6 TDs against Va. Tech. My cousin was Danny's tight end in high school and teammate & roomie at Pitt. After CYO basketball games we used to go eat meatballs with Danny at my cousin's grandma's, on his father's side. They were all Italians. Danny was such a great passer. You really could see it in high school. We used to go every Friday night to the Central Catholic games to watch them. Those were great uniforms. I have a picture of Green, as a freshman, as one of my screen savers. 👇
  21. Yeah, that was fucking stupid as well. We call that one PatherSeal. Otter works as well.
  22. The day they had the press conference to reveal the stupid uniforms in 1997 I was in the front row at the Student Union and I leaned over to a friend who covered Pitt for one of the papers and my quote was, “those are fucking awful”. They were indeed awful. Horrible. I had to be careful around people because i help out at games but, whenever i was within earshot of Pederson I had Tourette’s and I would scream “stripes on pants” “stripes on helmet”, etc. Tyler Palio got reamed out because he put a Script Pitt on his helmet of the Senior Bowl. I said many other things to anyone who would listen. Thankfully, we eventually found our way back from the shittiest uniforms ever.
