  1. It's definitely coming from Tony. The story about the locker room to the SI writer came directly from khan
  2. If he gets boat raced by the Titans this weekend then I think they pull the trigger and fire him. I will laugh all the way to an 0-17 record with Charlie Strong as the head coach. They probably promote Darrel Bevell instead.
  3. So fucking soft. All game
  4. I just saw this on Reddit. I know it's an old joke that Porsche and Audi are always interested in joining Formula 1 but never do. I assume this means they are going to join as an engine supplier rather than a full racing team
  5. There are some stupid fucking people in the comments of that article.
  6. I mean it's not just COTA, people are predicting Miami 2022 to be about the same price. I am prepared to spend $900-1000 on 3-day GA tickets for me and the wife. I have a buddy who is also going. He plays on the European Tour and his management company represents Mark Weber and Damon Hill. We are hoping to get some upgraded tickets through the agency but they aren't sure what they can do because interest is already high. It has to be all of the Drive to Survive people wanting to see a race for the first time.
  7. I watch quite a bit of the Goonzquad boys. They are goofy redneck kids that mostly buy and rebuild wrecked cars.
  8. It gave me BYU 2013 flashbacks thats for sure.
  9. I don't get this line: "The Americans seem to have lost interest in their multi-billion dollar toy." Formula 1 is exploding in the American market. Viewership is up almost 50% and ESPN is promoting races and stories pretty heavily. Seems like an odd take unless he is referring to Liberty not spending time and money to grow the sport in Asia.
  10. Of course last night i said Gio doesn’t really outperform his car in qualifying and here he is doing just that
  11. Oh wow i missed the financial support piece. That would be big for either of those teams.
  12. I agree. He rarely outperforms his car in qualifying and while he is typically strong on the first lap his race pace isn't fantastic. As cool as it would be to see Albon get that second seat I could see ferrari push Mick to the second Alfa seat (or keep him there to help fund Haas) or Robert Schwartzman gets placed in Alfa because he is the Ferrari Driver. Alex probably has a better future in indy car at this point
  13. I am surprised no one is talking about this story out of Italy: https://www.formu1a.uno/opinione-ferrari-cauta-coraggiosa-ma-la-sf21-e-un-ottimo-passo-avanti/ It seems like Ferrari were the ones sandbagging things. Picking up ~40 horsepower during the offseason is massive. I get that most F1 teams don't really care about pure hp numbers, but to bring back that straight line speed gives them a chance to steal more podiums than they did last year. I really think they are going to make the battle for third place more interesting than it was last year.
  14. someone on reddit was saying they may have adjusted their gearbox mounting a bit and used both tokens doing that. Who knows though. It would make no sense for them to have sandbagged testing with what little time they had. I really think they have a correlation issue between their wind tunnel and the track. Clearly something on the rear of that car isn't behaving like they expected. Because it's Mercedes they will certainly fix it in a few weeks. Maybe for Imola? That team is too stacked to just let this persist.
  15. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.data-suggests-ferrari-have-recovered-quite-a-lot-of-speeds-on-the-straights.7htBRyAQYpcUnPXQbzwqqz.html It will be interesting to see how much of this was true. I remember last year during testing they were saying everyone should be prepared for Ferrari to struggle and everyone just thought it was them sand bagging. Turns out he was telling the truth. I have to feel he is doing the same. He doesn't come out saying they will be world beaters but it certainly feels like they will compete with mclaren, racing point, and maybe even redbull on certain tracks.
  16. Here is the top down view of last year's car and this year's car. The Merc power unit is so much more compact than the renault.
  17. Interesting that there aren't many photos from the rear of the car. I wonder if they found something with the diffuser or rear suspension and don't want to give it away just yet. Also that floor board looks really simple.
  18. https://us.motorsport.com/f1/news/ferrari-eyeing-revolutionary-f1-engine-design-for-2022/5367838/ Would be a pretty big risk but with the 2022 regulations coming it may be the best time to make a move like this. They have to do something to catch up to Mercedes. People like to say that Mercedes may lose their dominance with the new aero rules but that is such a well oiled machine I just don't see why they would slip up.
  19. I sat for a second trying to determine if this was a real story or not. I came to the conclusion that I don't care. I would rather live in a world where I believe it's true.
  20. I went to high school there for a few years before moving and even the fucking colors are aggy. This was in the early 2000s and the coaches were pimping aggy over the horns.
  21. siap https://247sports.com/Coach/Dan-Lanning-3823/AllTimeRecruits/
  22. Yeah that's true - he is a rape enabling piece of shit. The important thing is there is will at the administration level and the booster level to bring people in that the coach deems necessary to win. I think you and I can both agree there is a difference between what Horny brings to the table and Pruitt. We will find out soon enough what all Pruitt did but if it's not show-cause worthy I think the administration will just weather the short term storm from average fans.
  23. Have you ever been to Jacksonville? Outside of shitty bbq, there is nothing particularly bad about it. Great weather, and golf. Above average beaches.
