  1. I can’t stop laughing.
  2. Mike Leach is a national treasure.
  3. Its old school. Like 80’s-90’s old school. Don’t be hater. A hat like that was the bomb back in the day.
  4. Dana is unhinged.
  5. Black isn’t even one of their secondary or tertiary colors.
  6. Pathetic. UH should never have been invited to the Big12.
  7. You know that's not a Tech guy, right? That's some Twitter guy named Dana Beers who has a schtick going right now where he is being "recruited" to be a lifelong fan of a college team, and he's taking his official visits to schools this fall. Seems like a fat jackass who has somehow developed a following on Twitter. I'm a little amazed at how many schools and fanbases are engaging in the recruitment. Not sure what being chosen brings you, except some drunk fat Twitter guy who I guess has never actually gone to college. Google video of him at A&M.
  8. This is why we can’t have nice things.
  9. No need to be snarky. Never said it was easy to understand. But if we need to interpret scripture, we need to interpret it with scripture. That's why there is Bible Concordances...to help us with this chore. Also why any pastor should be willing to tell his congregation to please check his work at all times with what is in the Word, and to call him out should he preach something contrary to the Word.
  10. Actually, St. Paul is very clear on this. It's only controversial to those who believe evolving Church doctrine supersedes scripture.
  11. It's not idealist. The problem is thinking that we humans can interpret scripture, when in fact it is scripture that interprets scripture. Any interpretation of scripture should and must be tested against other passages in the Bible. One may think this is simplistic and naive approach, but in fact it is exactly what the Bible instructs us to do. God did not leave us a mystery to solve...his Word interprets his Word for us.
  12. Yes...LCMS. Probably my use of the terms Law and Gospel capitalized gave it away, huh? The thing is...if we follow Scripture, it shouldn't mean different things.
  13. One of the many reasons I love my church and denomination. My pastor, and all pastors within this denomination, are expected to only preach Law and Gospel...the truth that Jesus, as the perfect lamb, saves us through his substitutionary atonement on the cross. When you are preaching Law and Gospel, you don't have any time or space for secular stuff like politics. But on the flipside, when you do preach 100% from Scripture, inevitably some will think you are doing some political advocating by simply pointing out Law. I could see those who live, eat, and drink politics sitting in one of our services, hearing a sermon about Law and Gospel, and coming away thinking there were political undertones when in fact all the pastor did was preach the Law and share the Gospel.
  14. Agreed. GT would be crazy not to offer it to him, and he would be crazy to turn it down.
  15. You negged an administrator?
  16. You guys are WAY too sensitive and easily triggered.
  17. I really don’t understand all the angst about Joey’s postgame LOCKERROOM speech to his team. He said nothing offensive about UT. He was firing them up to remain focused on the team goal. What exactly did he say that offends you so much? Direct quotes only, please.
  18. Seemed much longer.
  19. Joey McGuire would go for it here.
  20. Fuck these corrupt motherfucking corrupt refs.
  21. Bet money that wasn't the only person he pushed from behind that evening. One of those idiots who thinks he can act anyway he wants in a mob atmosphere. Probably pushed over other people too in his little alcohol-induced idiocy.
  22. That's either Leonard from Big Bang Theory or North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-un.
  23. Arkansas playing flag football.
  24. I hear she can...through a different orifice.
  25. Yes, I can ascertain intent by the fact she said if they didn't win a football game, she would...________. How many times have any of us said something similarly outrageous yet obviously joking when it comes to a football game? "If he throws another pick-6, I'm going to _________". "If they botch another onside kick recovery, I swear I will ______________." It wasn't that she went online to threaten to blow up a nuclear reactor. It's that she said, "If they lose this game, I will ___________". That's what makes the obvious innocent joke obvious and a joke, and not even remotely a real threat of any kind.
