They beat TCU in Fort Worth, but beating Texas is a different situation. When was the last year TCU was better than Texas?Seriously? You’re seriously asking this question?

Maybe Sooner will bring in To__ Orlan_o as a consultant. Except for ‘Bama and Auburn, no one else stayed within 7.

^^ i was stuck at a taco bell drive through for an hour back in college (~20 years ago). if i'd have been in a truck i would have gone over the curb, car probably would have gotten high centered and left a bumper cover.
Hello Josh Gordon, guess the username means your career is about to rise from the ashes? I guess the wacky weed made the wait more tolerable.

As a HS outside linebacker who had to defend against a fast 6'6" black QB with huge hands, whose team wore maroon jerseys and ran the triple option, I can confirm there is something to what Ryan said. I've been saying the same thing about that guy I played since 1985.
You could not see the fucking ball until you'd fucked up.
You sound like you were a coach on the field. Gym rat. Sneaky fast. Deceptively athletic. Heady.

The observation itself is not even close to racist, just like making the obvious observation about this picture isn't racist.

The most widely read TCU messageboard is Killerfrogs.com. Many surlyites have spent time there. Wes Phelan, one of the original longtime owners, passed away from cancer yesterday. A class act. Prayers for his family.

Yoda or Vigoda?

A millennial family member just mentioned in a group text that he would like for people to try to come to his house for Christmas (actually after Christmas because this is his wife’s family’s turn for Christmas) because he and his pregnant wife will be in full “nesting” mode. Since when do men have a nesting instinct? What are they teaching kids these days? Get off my lawn before you answer!
When Mr. X's wife is nesting, Mr. X is also nesting. You think that nest builds itself?

RD, it's interesting that you point out TCU. aggy has also stolen valor from TCU, claiming Horace Carswell as one of their MoH winners. Carswell attended aggy for one semester, then transferred to TCU, played football for TCU, and graduated from TCU. Carswell was awarded the MoH for staying with his wounded bombardier on a bombing mission in the South China Sea, and was killed along with the bombardier when the plane crashed. RD, I know you know all of this.
Neither he nor his family have ever identified him with aggy. But aggy claims him.
Stolen valor.

I’m up at the ranch with my mom, siblings, and all of our extended families. It’s about 30 people in all, just like very year. This year mom finally decided she was too old to be in charge of the cooking and appointed my sister her successor. After the kitchen fire this morning my sister broke down and cried saying she couldn’t cook, didn’t like to cook, and it wasn’t fair. I’m not sure if we’re having Thanksgiving now or not.
This is the content I’m here for. Looking forward to the updates. Very very promising.

Just finished the FW Turkey Trot. Only one of my family that did it with me this year was my 24-yo daughter (no pics), who remembers me pushing her in the jogging stroller in turkey trots when she was little. Great way to start the day. Happy Thanksgiving, y’all.
My thanksgiving will be drama free. Because of our ruined ovens (see the “stupid things wives do” thread for details, linked below), we’re doing Tgiving at my daughter’s. Looking forward to hearing the drama from y’all’s get togethers. Some of the setups in this thread are very promising.

I haven't made it with dark chocolate, but it could be done, certainly. Adapting recipes to personal tastes is very important and how family treasures are made. I discovered that the Keebler graham crackers I was using in cheesecake crusts were too sweet for our family's liking and that Kroger store brand were less so. Made a big difference. My spouse doesn't like things too sweet so when I make cherry pie, for example, I use a lot less sugar than the recipe calls for but enough that it still holds the cherries together and makes the juicy syrup that everyone likes. Same with apples, although I probably like apple crisp a little more than apple pie because of the oatmeal crumble. On a cold winter evening (for Texas anyway), that hits the spot.
Post a pic that makes you lol
