What midtown said.
as of NOW before you fly in you, and everyone with you, will need to fill out the CR Health Pass form online. That will give you a QR code that you show when you enter the country. It’s easy. Whatever airline you are flying should email you the info on how to do that but if not I think we discussed it upthread or just ask me here. Pretty sure you can only do that within 72 hours of your departure.
‘Going home and again as of now, you’ll need a negative test. Whatever hotel you are staying at will hook you up with that.
Yeah that would be true. Honestly the fishing part is probably due more to the locals, but China has pumped so much money into this country they basically run it.
We never bottom fish here but I’m afraid the commercial fishermen have basically decimated the snapper and grouper population here. I know some guys that do well but that’s the exception. Awesome on the whales, we haven’t seen any yet this trip.

Josh Garcia. Longhorn, great fisherman and funny as hell. Tell him PortAfino John and Cindy sent you the rec. If he’s not available he will get you pointed in the right direction.
Only a couple of minutes maybe 5. It crushed our teaser and ignored our small baits so we pitched our marlin bait to it on a 50wide. That’s a baby maybe 175-225 pounds. Quick fight, quick release. Then go get some more fish.
It was about 2 minutes from my house and 5 minutes from my high school and we ate there a ton for off campus lunch. It was pretty good back in the late 80’s. Haven’t been there since. That’s all I’ve got.
All I know is I ordered a “taco chino” in a restaurant here in CR a few nights ago and they brought me a fucking egg roll. It was bullshit.
Also I haven’t watched a single second of these Olympics which makes me sad because I used to care and watch all I could.
18 mas Pez velas today but no mas marlin. The only one we raised today was blind or regarded, absolutely crashed a short rigger bait but completely missed then paddled back and crashed it again. Missed again and faded off. I’m like dude, you’ve got one job.
Didnt take much in the way of videos today but here’s a short sailfish clip

For you three blowboat friends of mine.
2 more sailboats just got to the marina but I picture Bruin just like the last one and hanging on for dear life.
Immamac finally got me out of posting jail. Fishing again tomorrow early so I’ll get some more posted in a day or 2 but here’s a marlin from last trip.

I’ve been treefiddy for a long time. I had a change in cards so that might be it. I’ll fix that. Why it would renew Burnt Ends but not that I don’t know. Thanks. And come to CR - not the Cloak Room CR.
Crushed them today. 3 blue marlin, 15 sails and all the dorado you can eat.
Also I still don’t know what that fish is. It’s not an amberjack unless they are growing them funny down in Belize.
I’ll try showing it to my captain and see what he says.
Cool story time - we’ve got the world record horse eye jack - https://igfa.org/igfa-world-records-search/?search_type=AnglerNameDetail&search_term_1=135678. Caught it on one of the Baker rigs. Not exactly a record I would ever shoot for but still cool.
edit - that was back when we were running a few charters out of Port A. Our client caught it.
Looks an awful lot like a jack crevalle but maybe it’s not. Those things are close to inedible. It’s definitely not a yellowtail, which are really good to eat, but something may be getting lost in the translation. Or, you’ve got Covid and just can’t taste anything.
