This was Disney's plan. They had all the leverage here. They knew if Google didn't accept, where are a lot of people going to come running? Right to Hulu, which they own. A win win for them. I think so many of those companies are in collusion. YouTube TV might suffer but that's a piss in the bucket for Google as a whole.

Fuck all those greedy billionaire corporations. Google and Disney. Disney is trying to create a monopoly on their live sports content. Don't think FuboTv won't be next to bow out because of their demands. They want to funnel everyone to Hulu.

This is not the 3rd streaming service I will cancel. Sling, PS Vue, YTTV. The options are getting extremely limited. Might as well go back to fucking satellite at this point.

Yep, headed that way for sure. Just jumped over to Hulu and had to add multi screen and cloud storage just to get it comparable to YouTube TV. So, what used to be around $50/month not too long ago with PS Vue is now up to $86 with Hulu. Still more than half what I was paying for satellite when I canceled it, but definitely creeping that direction. Up next will be contracts, mark it down. Bound to happen though, so what are you gonna do? It's definitely a better mouse trap than satellite and I've been benefitting from the savings for the better part of 5 years since cutting the cord. It is what it is.

  2. Didn’t saban reportedly do some similar shit when he was with the dolphins? Stepped on a player who was having a stroke or something then yelled “never look me in the eye” and just walked off. And later told the team he could never show weakness as the head coach. Something along those lines. Maybe these great college coaches just don’t translate to the NFL? 🤷‍♂️

Just had it for lunch with the missus today. I love it. We live about 2 minutes away from there and go often. It's great.

Place on lovers over toward you with the good chicken right? How the hell do we never go there? Much more importantly…how the fuck do we not see y’all more? Need to fix that

But honestly, is that the right approach, just get into a contract that if it doesn't work out hamstrings you for years?  Or a bright young coordinator who has the upside?  I don't know, but these 8-10 year fully guaranteed deals seem like a potential disaster.

If we could only get David Geffen to donate the hundreds of millions he has to the medical school/health system to the football program instead, we'd be in business.  Sure, medical advancements may suffer, but we could win more games!

Yeah, plenty of other schools making medical advancements. Nerds. Only a few elite at football.

Our insiders are now saying Chip to Oregon may have more legs than originally thought.  First, Uncle Phil and former AD and booster Pat Kilkenny are both close with Chip, and it is felt that if they want him, they get him.  Also, our AD Martin Jarmond is playing a little hardball on the extension.  As he should.  Chip has the worst record of any coach over 4 years in UCLA history.  He's lucky we'd even consider an extension.  Also, Chip just fired Dunn and hired Sexton.  UCLA (but not Jarmond) has a major axe to grind with Sexton and the way he leveraged Mora into more dough.

The question would become would the Oregon faithful be open to Chip's return?  Feeling is more would be than wouldn't be.  And UCLA is not going to get into a bidding war for a shitty recruiter with Oregon.  Oregon has built their team on top flight recruiting.  Would Chip change his tune on recruiting?  Who knows.

Yesterday I would have said the likelihood was slim to none.  Today, maybe a bit more likely.  Oh, and Oregon will receive $9 mil from Miami to buy Cristobal out of his deal.  UCLA/Chip have a reciprocal buyout until Jan 15.  The amount?  $9 mil.  They can just endorse the check over to us.

Y’all better be ready to back up the brinks trucks to replace him if it happens. Gotta combat that new Trojan shine

Yup, you can tell the one ag in our neighborhood, because of the omnipresent ag flag, garden sign, and maroon pickup in the driveway with at least three pieces of ag/SEC flair.

And not just occasionally, but every single time I see him outside of his house, he's wearing maroon ag gear.  Every, single, time.

The good news is that his kids, who he used to dress head-to-toe in ag gear as well, are now high school aged, and no longer wear any of it.  Hopefully they've seen the light...

The really good ones will even paint their front door burgundy. Had some move in a few blocks away on a street I drive down fairly regularly. I shit you not, timeline went like this…

    for sale sign in yard

month or so later - under contract sign

    little later - sold sign

like a day later - painters there paining door burgundy

next day - accompanying aggy garden sign

few days later - moving trucks with all the rest of their shit

You can’t make this shit up. Just a special group.

It’s the aggy yard banners/signs in the landscaping for me, along with wearing maroon colored shirts 3-4x a week.

It’s true. Has there ever been a group of people who are so proud, yet have accomplished so little? Serious question. It really is baffling.
