  1. You're supposed to tip when you win on a slot? Who are you supposed to tip? The cashier that cashes you out? I could see slinging the waitress who brought you a drink while you were sitting there (if that happened) a nice little something extra for her good luck or whatever. Since this dude only put $40 in, I doubt he even really had time to order a drink. But other than that, who would have anything to do with it? The housekeeping lady vacuuming around the machine you're at? I don't play slots, nor have I ever won a big jackpot, so I guess I probably won't ever have to worry about it.
  2. And still got former daddy on their mind.
  3. aggy still got our backs...
  4. Soooooo, are we still clamoring for Dan Mullen to replace Herman? Or nah?
  5. It just means more, to want to be there less.
  6. Your sarcasm meter. Check it.
  7. What about when UT runs into Bama and Clemson? Oh wait...
  8. I don’t like the way it tastes. Or the texture.
  9. Grass fed I posted upthread is a perfect example. I paid extra for that shit and it sucked. Fuck grass fed.
  10. Deer camp chef in the winter...boat chef in the summer. I think you might be onto something.

Not a lot of people asking that question these days.
  12. You'll need to ask the busboy for that.
  13. X posting from the Dallas BBQ thread. Had Terry Black's delivered for the game last night. It pretty much started with several disadvantages (delivery is never as good, later in the evening is never as good, Favor driver left it on the wrong porch so it sat out there for I don't know how long), but it was still really effing good. Should be in the conversation with Cattleack for number 1 in Dallas in my opinion.

You're not kidding. Where the hell has Terry Black's been all my life? Had it delivered for the game last night. It pretty much started with several disadvantages (delivery is never as good, later in the evening is never as good, Favor driver left it on the wrong porch so it sat out there for I don't know how long), but it was still really effing good. 15. Damn. Yeah for that price, you can get a professional chef to prepare one for you, have a hot waitress bring it to you, have a bus boy clear your plate for you, and have a bunch of other shit available to have with it, including a full bar. Also known as a very nice steakhouse.
  16. Damn personal shopper brought me grass fed. Sucks too because I cooked it perfectly.
  17. A lot of these guys forget what it's like to be successful enough to have good assistants get poached. We just remember what it's like to have them suck so bad that the head coach has to fire them just to keep his own job.
  18. Two different arguments though (now we're arguing about arguments - classic Surly)... Would Kelly be a great hire? - Not an argument worth entertaining, because anyone arguing he wouldn't be is a moron, with the exception of the punchable face thing, which is probably valid. Can UT just take him if we want him, because we're UT and blah blah blah? - That's debatable.
  19. This is where I'm at. For every, "but, but, but we're Texas" there is an equal or greater "but, but, but, we're Notre Dame". Easier path to win a National Championship from a Texas standpoint because of better recruiting. Easier path to win a National Championship from a Notre Dame perspective because he's already got something built there that has had them in the playoff or national championship game 3 out of his last 8 years there. They could see it as being just on the cusp, where we could see it as a ceiling. Everyone seems to agree that ND isn't spending what Texas is. Does that mean they won't or can't? Especially if it means keeping BK? ND also has an easier path given the fact that they appear to be an automatic F4 qualifier as long as they don't lose more than one game. Plus ND is a more prestigious job and has other advantages UT doesn't have...better education, better traditions, etc. In other words, who the fuck knows? But I like it if it happens.
  20. Can we really count Lea, who left to become the head coach at his alma mater, in that mix? And how do we know that their assistant salaries aren't being underreported just like their head coach's?
  21. Lots of opinions stated as facts in this post.
  22. Yeah, but he wasn't "on his way out" from what I remember. He'd won them a National Championship. He wasn't getting fired anytime soon. My recollection was that FSU was kind of a shit show with money problems and he wanted out, plus aggys AD at the time was one of Jimbo's guys. And they money whipped the shit out of him to where he couldn't say no.
  23. I don't think the academic restrictions are enough to tilt this thing UT's way. Just my opinion, but there are enough built in upsides at ND to offset that.
  24. Seems to be some fairly inconsistent information on the money side of this thing. Can ND spend what UT can spend or not? Several know-it-all posters in this thread seem to think they can and several seem to think they can't. The money is all that matters here because...no, you don't leave Notre fucking Dame for Texas, unless the money is substantially better. In which case, I disagree with the rest of your post. Money is not always the deciding factor because of dream job and blah blah blah. But it is often the deciding factor.
  25. I think I just fired the kill shot.
