  1. “Childs” in Georgia can legally possess long guns: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/georgia-school-shooting-gun/ Georgia law prohibits minors from possessing handguns, but there is no minimum age to possess a rifle or shotgun in Georgia. 6. What’s makes these deaths so heartbreaking is they were so unnecessary.
  7. I’m under no illusion about how hard it will be to reduce gun idolatry in this country. Democratic presidents will be forced into glory by those of us who won’t allow them to be bullied by gun lovers and the gun lobby. We should view this mission as an act of love toward this country .
  8. Americans, go pursue happiness somewhere. Guns Uber Alles.
  9. It’s hard to imagine the number of little baby terrorists being formed amidst the carnage and death in Gaza and Rafah.
  10. My problem with being resigned to living like this is it means gun violence will only get worse. Think for a minute, where’d we be if gun sense proponents played the long game as have pro life advocates. Keeping their eyes on the prize paid off in ways that are incalculable. The millions of silent people who won’t fight to change our culture bear some responsibility for the violence. 11. The “we” I’m referencing includes the millions of us who watch our children being murdered in schools and continue to vote into office the people who facilitate their murder. To suggest that we have no say is a cop out in my opinion. Texans can vote out a gun loving Ted Cruz, but will we?
  12. We can no longer blame just the shooters. We’ve decided to live like this and until we get tired of the gun violence, people will continue to be shot to death for no good reason.
  13. Would this require Bibi to no longer fund the activities of Hamas in order to keep his foil viable?
  14. All we have to do is enforce our own laws: The Leahy Laws or Leahy amendments are U.S. human rights laws that prohibit the U.S. Department of State and Department of Defense from providing military assistance to foreign security force units that violate human rights with impunity. It is named after its principal sponsor, Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont).
  15. Biden must summon the courage to use the considerable he has to force a cease fire. This won’t be precedent setting: https://www.axios.com/2024/05/13/us-presidents-red-lines-israel Other U.S. presidents have also threatened to withhold aid from Israel. Dwight Eisenhower During the Suez Crisis of the 1950s, then-President Dwight Eisenhower leveraged the threat of sanctions to convince Israel to withdraw from the Sinai Peninsula, per AP. In 1953, the Eisenhower administration also temporarily delayed $26 million in funding to Israel over its construction of a hydroelectric project on the Jordan River. Ronald Reagan Back in 1981, former President Ronald Reagan indefinitely delayed two shipments of F-16 fighter jets to Israel over the ''escalating level of violence'' in the Middle East. The following year, the Reagan administration warned Congress that Israel might have violated its arms agreement with the U.S. by using American-made weapons during its invasion of Lebanon, the New York Times reported. In 1983, Reagan reaffirmed that he would not send F-16 jets to Israel until Israel withdrew its forces from Lebanon. "While these forces are in the position of occupying another country that now has asked them to leave, we are forbidden by law to release those planes,' he said. In 1992, the Bush administration threatened to withhold the delivery of $10 billion in loan guarantees to Israel if it continued building settlements in the occupied West Bank and Gaza, the Washington Post reported.
  16. It would be hilarious were it not so serious. Is this karma from drumming Thomas Eagleton and Howard Dean out for their “transgressions”?
  17. Americans need to start demanding a safe county wherein we can pursue happiness in relative peace. It’s every bit as much our right as carrying guns every damn where.
  18. This is a Trump quote from an appearance with Moms for Liberty. Think of it, your kid goes to school and comes home a few days later with an operation,” Trump falsely claimed, misrepresenting the complex and highly regulated process of gender-affirming health care for minors in the United States. The school decides what’s going to happen with your child. And many of these childs, 15 years later say, what the hell happened? Who did this to me? They say, who did this to me? It’s incredible,” Trump said.
  19. Never forget how congregants yelled USA, USA, USA on Christmas Sunday following a political address given by Trump during his last visit to FBD.
  20. Until we acknowledge that guns are a problem, things will only get worse.
  21. I watched some of Walz’s speech today, and in a folksy way, he is compelling and persuasive.
  22. What will the MAGAs do when forced to pay $9 for a head of lettuce?
  23. Allred’s voting record is more progressive than Pete Aguilar, Jim Clyburn and Jared Moskowitz. Let’s not get crazy here.
