  1. Recognition of the fact among poor and working class people of all ethnicities that they have more in common than not, would be the death knell for Trump’s brand of divisive politics.
  2. They should be included and involved beyond that.
  3. Does she also have 5 children by 3 baby daddy(s)?
  4. I would love to see working class and poor people organize a call upon which they could make it clear to the Harris campaign that their voices, hopes and dreams matter. They may not be able to raise cash but they can spread hope and encourage those in their orbit to become informed participants in the political process at all levels.
  5. If we look closely, it appears Trump may have reached his ceiling as he consistently hovers around 47% among likely voters. If after choreographing his convention, choosing his VP running mate and surviving an assassination attempt, he doesn’t even get a bump, the future does not look bright for him.
  6. Regarding the sausage pics with Kamala, it’s important to let the certain kind white men who wanna go there, know, that black men are here for it: https://boingboing.net/2024/07/29/rev-terry-anderson-passionately-supports-kamala-harris-for-president.html
  7. There is no plausible deniability for Trump:
  8. That’s because the border didn’t become a problem in 3 months or 3 years even. It’s been a problem that Congress refuses to address for the most craven of political purposes.
  9. I’m hearing the Dems are planning to devote one night of the DNC to Trump’s crime spree. They might need to re-think this. I’m not sure one night will be enough to tell the whole story.
  10. Included in Kamala’s first 100 days should be a plan to get 13 justices for 13 circuits. If we don’t, P2025 will .
  11. Here’s an analysis of prayers offered at Trump rallies. Interesting but not surprising:
  12. I hope she’s lying about Medicare for all.
  13. The architect of the Leo Court, Leonard Leo, is big mad about Biden’s proposals: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/supreme-court/3102762/leonard-leo-biden-supreme-court-reforms-apply-congress-too/# In a statement, Leo said if Biden and Democrats were “truly serious” about ethics reform, they would call for bans on “all gifts and hospitality of any kind to any public official in any branch of government,” including Congress, where he said “the real corruption is.” “Let me be clear: If Democrats want to adopt an across the board ethics ban for all branches, I am in favor of that: no jets, no meals, no speaking honorariums, no gifts for anyone from anyone for any reason in any branch, starting with Congress. Until they support that, let’s all be honest about what this is: a campaign to destroy a court that they disagree with,” Leo said in a statement obtained by the Washington Examiner.
  14. Amos Brown is no way near radical as is Robert Jeffress. I’ve worshipped at Third Baptist. it is a progressive mostly silk stocking church deeply rooted in the prophetic preaching tradition of the black church. He didn’t say anything that wasn’t repeated in thousands of black churches in the aftermath of 9/11.
  15. Haven’t heard a lot about the border crisis lately. I wonder why?
  16. Since the magalitia is content to process everything through a moral/ethical lens except for how money is made, I fully expect them to embrace the west Texas earthquake as acts of God, which translates into fracking being providential.
  17. The magalitia plan on attacking Kamala on her opposition to fracking. The earthquakes in west Texas could not be happening at a worse time: https://www.reporternews.com/story/news/local/2024/07/28/railroad-commission-to-probe-snyder-quakes-for-fracking-connection-abilene-texas-newspaper/74573600007/ SNYDER — With over 60 earthquakes in one week, nerves are beginning to shake nearly as much as the buildings in Scurry County. “You know, we've had (quakes) as long as I think time's been recorded here, as long as we've had people here” said county Judge Dan Hicks on Friday. “But we don't know of any that were this intense.” On Friday night, the Railroad Commission of Texas announced they were looking into any connections between the tremors and the injection of fluids into the ground for the extraction of petroleum products.
  18. Lol, I don’t see why not. White people have a historical role in the tradition of the butter biscuit. Let me also say, Allred would not spend his time and treasure in becoming and then working as a civil rights attorney only to become a biscuit.
  19. Nah, his vibe is more cautious than biscuit.
  20. Democrats generally, and particularly in Texas, worry too much about what people who are not likely to vote for them think about them. Black politicians are obsessed with appearing to everybody’s mayor, senator or president in ways that their white counterparts have no such constraints. It’s one of the things that frustrated me about Obama and excited me about Biden. Colin seems to be even more cautious and it’ has hampered his effectiveness. That said, there’s something to be said about a serious, sober politicians who has skills other than the ability to glad hand, and entertain.
  21. I’m a financial supporter but, I think it’s a potentially fatal mistake to focus mostly on likely voters and not try to energize new voters. Texas is not red. It just has a nasty habit of voting red.
  22. Don’t they know Sandy Patti is retired?
  23. Cannon made sure of that. Heifer.
