  1. I had a 94 80 I got brand new and put 250k miles on it, then a 97 40th Anniversary with locking diffs at 90k miles I put 150k more on it and now I have a 200 series I bought with 44k miles. In my experience brand new and 100k miles are virtually indistinguishable except for the new car smell and regular wear and tear on the interior.
  2. I won't buy one with fewer than 40k miles on it and it will be at least five years from now.
  3. I would HATE having a V6 in the LC. In lieu of the V8 I am interested in the 4 cylinder hybrid, especially if mileage really is 20+. I've been driving LCs since 1994 and have never gotten better than 13 MPG on a tank of gas.
  4. I stay at the Palazzo every year for a conference. It's fine.
  5. "Are you alone?" Jake, looking at the others in his office: "Isn't everybody?"
  6. With the exception of green the 80s and 100s tended to far outlive the usual life span for car paint.
  7. He beat Georgia in the SEC championship and was one play away from playing in the national championship. And he's 72. People sometimes retire when they're 72.
  8. I won't push back on the "he's a hypocrite" narrative because you may be right But when he says something about the state of things, it is wise to listen to him. That's all I'm saying. You don't have to agree with him. But you should listen.
  9. I’m about to get banned? For what? What did I do? also I’m not being dog piled. A lot of people have made good faith arguments to me. And I have listened.
  10. Thoughtful and fair except for the end of days part at the end. I’m coming around on this.
  11. Those phone calls are no different than happen in every presidential election. Don't kid yourself. Read Caro's books on LBJ Yes. One conceded. One did not. Neither one is an insurrection.
  12. Ha ha ha that's the next day. Here's her talking to CBS about why she lost: Yes but shooting him WHERE?
  13. She is on record publicly claiming Trump stole the election, that there was hacking, and voter suppression, and he's an illegitimate president.
  14. Oh he did plenty of shit that was wrong. I think there's all sorts of stuff he could be nailed on. I am just skeptical that "insurrection" is one of them. I do not think Trump is competent to be president. I think he is selfish, stupid and vain. I think he is dangerously egotistical. But I think he cratered when his rally spun out of his control. I prefer "totally fucking pedantic" but thanks
  15. Very valid points. Of course I am shocked that an electorate would choose Trump OR Biden but then again what the fuck do I know
  16. If somebody had recorded HRC's response to losing to Trump, I wonder what she was saying? Probably something about "accepting the results" and "oh well fair is fair"
  17. Trying to press his claim that the election had been stolen from him. And it spun out of control on him because he's an idiot surrounded by morons and schemers who blew smoke up his ass about what he could and couldn't do. Where?
  18. So when did it become an insurrection. At what point exactly? The ACLU has publicly stated Trump's comments at the rally are protected speech (I'm not saying they're right). And a lot of this stuff is the same shady election fraud that happens all the time - and which should be prosecuted when it can be - but that does not make it an insurrection. Sending false documents somewhere is not even in the same universe as using force to overthrow a government.
  19. I think the fact that a large minority, enough to win, want to vote for Trump is far more concerning than his actions on January 6.
