  1. Have wondered the same. He had back surgery iirc - maybe not ready.
  2. I'd like to know where the assumption that Arch is going to later become someone we will miss comes from? Objectively, we've never seen it.
  3. I think quite the opposite. You show recruits that the best player plays - so if you think you're better than what we are showing on the field, come to Austin. Otherwise we only get players who don't want to compete and quality QBs won't come knowing they won't play even if they are better. You start Caldwell and give Arch cover - let the media assume he's hurt. Privacy laws, sorry, can't comment.

You know how I know you don't know what a pussy looks like?

    Sadly it seems so.
  6. Oh lord. Words can be hurtful, they cant hirt you. Would murder be an appropriate response to your example?
  7. Is that a serious response? Violence is an acceptable response to words you don't agree with? Maybe I'm an old. When I grew up we said Sticks and Stones May Break Your Bones but Words Will Never Hurt You. What generation are you from? Can you explain to me, in your terms, what the 1st Amendment says?
  8. Surprisingly my son's school in Los Angeles (public school) had theirs at half mast. They probably got a memo about withholding funding if they didn't.
  9. Spend more time looking at co-eds and you might change your mind again. Works for me every time.
  10. Maybe I'm missing your point, or you mine. What you say is clearly true - and has been throughout history. Without the veneer of "societal norms" this is who we are as a species. That said, our goal should be for insults to be met with insults. Rhetoric with rhetoric. I'm guilty of wishing bad things on bad people but to explain away political violence as he got what was coming to him doesn't address our greater need to be above that in order to continue functioning. Violence begets violence. Would it not have been a greater victory to beat him in a war of words? Now he is lionized (even more). I don't see a W here.
  11. I don't think I made a point different than that - I may have simply chosen the wrong post to quote.
  12. I think you've misread me nor is murder an appropriate response by your own definition. If you don't agree with someone - especially someone as powerful as Kirk - one should absolutely not tolerate it. Nor should you murder them.
  13. What do you find funny about it? That people should have the right to free speech even if they say stupid things?
  14. Apologies - I meant to highlight that the quotes you chose are indeed indicative of how divisive Kirk was and that in of itself is not a reason to shoot the guy.
  15. I think you, and everyone cheering, is missing the point. I am not a Charlie Kirk fan but, in America, one is allowed to be stupid. It is everyone's right to have opinions that are not the same as yours (or mine) without the threat of violence. Charlie engaged in war of words. If people are not capable of countering those words with words of their own, the answer is not to shoot the other person. I hate the Left and the Right - while agreeing with some issues from both - and I should feel free to have those conversations / debate without fear of losing my life. This shooting, and others like it, impact all of us negatively no matter what your beliefs are. It should not be celebrated.
