  1. Yeah, I would find that really interesting. If you don't mind documenting it here I think that would be pretty cool.
  2. PSA: Cuero boots are 40% off right now. $138 for the Eastwood and $132 for the Austin (roper). If you have any interest at all, it's almost a no-brainer at those prices. I got my Eastwoods on sale for $150 and thought it was a steal. I might buy another pair if I hadn't just bought some Anderson Beans. Hell, I might do it anyway.
  3. Apparently they will make custom round toed boots. But yeah, agreed, I wish they had some in their stock line. They are really well made.
  4. I've always been a regular/round toe guy but I recently opened my mind to squared toes because of a great deal on some Anderson Beans I came across online that just happened to be in my size (AB's are almost exclusively square toe but are pretty high quality, handmade in Texas boots). I've never had a pair of AB's but tried some on the other day that were super comfortable. So I went ahead and ordered the pair I found online.
  5. I have those same boots. Great choice. I love mine!
  6. Mission accomplished.
  7. They say when this sort of thing happens your whole life flashes pasteurize.
  8. Mine were very comfortable right out of the box. The fit is almost identical to my Tecovas.
  9. Yeah I remember that being an issue as well. That, and the squeaking.
  10. I love how he gives the 'sup? head nod.
  11. Boot porn
  12. It seems fine. Suitably firm. Don't foresee any issues there.
  13. Yeah that's what I'm leaning towards. I don't think it's a big deal. I will say they're very comfortable right out of the box, just like my Tecovas. All in all, well worth $150!
  14. Ordered mine Sunday and they were supposed to arrive yesterday but ended up arriving today. Still pretty fast. They're nice boots. Almost identical in look, fit and quality to Tecovas (I have two pair of those -- the ostrich and the caiman). In fact I wonder if Cuero is using the same manufacturer in Leon, Mexico. However there's a flaw in the stitching just above the heel on one boot. Trying to decide if I should return them or not. It's small and probably not noticeable with jeans (it's on the inside ankle), and I could probably cover it with polish, but still...
  15. LOL at this comment "He's young. It's just a stage he's going through. He'll get over it."
  16. Pulled the trigger on a pair of Cuero Eastwoods in black. Just couldn't pass up the price and I don't currently have any black boots.
  17. You make a good case.
  18. Skied Steamboat last week with my girlfriend. Can't remember the last time I had such perfect conditions. Ridiculous amount of powder and sunny skies most of the time. We changed our plans and left Denver a day earlier than planned. Glad we did or we never would've made it to Steamboat. Our first time there and we loved both the town and the mountain.
  19. Funny, I was gonna post about these today. I'm tempted too. I figure I'll be buying more Tecovas in the future regardless so I might do it. Do I really need another pair of beaters is the question.
  20. I do that. You're welcome.
  21. I was lucky enough to meet him several years ago and even got to spend some time talking Texas football with him. He loved the Longhorns. A great defender of The University. RIP and Hook'em.
  22. Sports teams that perform the haka are neither intimidating nor impressive. The whole thing is stupid.
  23. .
