Good description. I do something similar to this each fall, but on a bigger scale outdoors with a crab cooker, 15 gallon stainless steel pot & a primitive still.
  2. RD said in his post that capital contributions are not included in operating revenue, e.g. the $10M that Jones donated to piggy 5 years ago. He could contribute to operating revenue through other avenues if he wanted. He could buy every suite or every unsold seat in the stadium. Maybe Walmart would pay for licensing to use piggy football's logo on an item they'd like to promote more in its home state. Say toothbrushes. That would be included in operating revenue.
  3. I've lived in a rainforest for more than 20 years and run saws for at least 5 hours a week except during late summer (fire danger). Stihl is easily the most popular brand used in the timber industry, followed by Husqvarna. Like others have said, 2 saws are necessary, and the best combo for general use is a 16" bar on a 40+ cc powerhead and a 20" with 55+ cc. Not just because of the difference in weight, but also because you'll eventually get a saw hung up and need another to cut it loose. Premix fuel is a waste of money, plus Power Punch brand 2 stroke oil makes my saws run cleaner than any premix. Ethanol free gas, called clear gas around here, is essential for small motors with any plastic parts. Match up the file diameter with the teeth. The chain package will tell you what size file to use. It takes practice to get the angle right when sharpening by hand. A file guide makes it a lot easier, but I only sharpen with a file as a last resort. I have a bench mounted sharpener that works well, but what I end up using more than anything else is this $30 12V sharpener made by Oregon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073GSGNLV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wear chainsaw chaps and steel toe boots if I'm doing any real work. I never run a saw without hearing protection. One of my logger friends is always saying "I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear out the other."
  4. The tenth highest grade among interior defensive tackles in the NFL is not impressive at all for a rookie.
  5. I guess aggy would refer to my goat as a " Mulching rear discharge walk behind mower." Still going strong after 15 years, and he fertilizes as he mows.
  6. Most varieties of cannabis will begin flowering once the duration of darkness is 10 hours, not 12. 12 hours of darkness begins after fall equinox, so an outdoor crop wouldn't begin flowering until the last week of September if a full 12 was necessary. I live near the 44th parallel, and every variety I've grown outdoors has started flowering by mid August when the light/dark is 14/10. Some start earlier than that. There was one type called auto affie (for autoflowering afghani) that would begin flowering with even a single hour of darkness. I'd transplant it outdoors at the beginning of June and harvest it in early August, then transplant another outside for an early October harvest. Also, it's not hard to produce 2 outdoor crops a year if you use a light deprivation greenhouse to control photoperiod. Oregon's rules take that into account. A 2 crop garden permit allows half the square footage of a 1 crop permit.
  7. There are multiple nonstop flights from Eugene to LAX daily for under $200. The airport is 10 minutes from campus. But Austin >>> Eugene in all ways other than traffic, outdoor recreation, and summer temps. Eugene is turning into one great big homeless camp.
  8. For 80 years our title hopes have been dead But by God our boys always cover the spread -aggy
  9. Thank you for the context. SB IV was before I was born, and I've never watched it. I started watching football in the Luv Ya Blue era (fuck you Bradshaw). Apologies for my ignorance - I cast no aspersions on Hank Stram.
  10. Comedy from a true idiot. The author's bio on football scoop says, in part: " Zach joined the staff in 2012...and has been attempting to improve Doug and Scott's writing ability ever since (to little avail) " A guy who thinks the following is the proper usage of matriculate is attempting to improve others' writing skills. "But it’s about more than just how Fisher chooses to matriculate the ball down the field." It's not surprising that his bio doesn't say where he matriculated.
  11. He had a clear path to the end zone. Could've walked right in untouched.
  12. So when he can't produce evidence of the email report, it'll be because his keyboard failed him. Computers are hard. He didn't go to tOSU to play computers.
  13. Technically he's right - nobody's ever been convicted of anything by police. That's more of a judge & jury kind of thing.
  14. At least they'll have the two Nobel prizes for alchemy and cold fusion to adorn their Hall of Champions. Science, yo.
  15. They also named the wrong Duvernay brother.
  16. It's beautiful that there's no mention of Texas in that comparison post. They think covering their eyes and pretending big brother, you know, the flagship university of the state doesn't exist in Austin.
