  1. So Cook can replace Boyce now? That guy is not a Texas caliber player
  2. The Cubs are going in dry on Thor
  3. Well, he shoved tonight and has been awesome in the 2nd half.
  4. Pretty big 3 game set in Queens tonight with the Cubs in NY to play the Mets. Both teams were swept over the weekend.
  5. 40 homers for Mike Trout. He’s having just an insane season.
  6. Since the SLG is the same, I’ll assume each player amassed the same number of total bases. Since Player A had more hits (avg is higher), you can assume that they hit for less power than Player B, whether it be more singles or less XBH. Thus, Player B achieved the same number of TB with less hits while also making the same number of outs as Player A (equal OBP). I would probably take Player B who is likely to do more damage per AB than Player A.
  7. How many years will it be before aggy realizes the NFL resembles the Big 12 more and more each season? I’ll give it 10.
  8. That game is going as expected.
  9. Except it’s on March 26 so expect snow in Chicago, Cleveland, Cincy, etc.
  10. Well he did go deep again tonight so actually....
  11. One of the keys to the Mets second half run? Former Astro JD Davis, hitting .389/.464/.653 since the ASB
  12. Mets with one of the most unlikeliest walk offs I’ve ever seen. They are hot
  13. The Mets, despite all the dumb shit they have done this year, are one game out of the Wild Card. Won 13 of 14
  14. Luis Castillo K’s 13 Angels tonight. He has been a badass this year.
  15. Tyler White leading off for the Dodgers should elicit a few reactions around here
  16. Any reports on how Swoopes looks? Heard he’s the favorite to start against Notre Dame
  17. Top Hitters in July by fWAR: AL: 1) Gurriel (HOU), .398/.427/837, 1.9 fWAR t2) Trout (LAA), .286/.392/.821, 1.8 fWAR t2) Devers (BOS), .358/.408/.734, 1.8 fWAR t2) Laureano (OAK), .392/.443/.838, 1.8 fWAR 5) Betts (BOS), .373/.438/.647, 1.6 fWAR NL: 1) Hiura (MIL), .355/.429/.699, 1.5 fWAR 2) Yelich (MIL), .352/.441/.670, 1.4 fWAR t3) Marte (ARI), .333/.426/.552, 1.2 fWAR t3) Donaldson (ATL), .264/.396/.655, 1.2 fWAR t5) Suarez (CIN), .289/.353/.733, 1.1 fWAR t5) Goldschmidt (STL), .308/.360/.725, 1.1 fWAR t5) Rendon (WAS), .333/.420/.552, 1.1 fWAR t5) Tatis Jr. (SD), .314/.355/.588, 1.1 fWAR
  18. 6 straight wins for the Mets after they were left for dead. They have a soft schedule over the next week too.
  19. Cleveland for example could pitch Clevinger in a wild card game and then still line up Kluber-Bieber-Clev-Carrasco in an ALDS. They would still be heavy underdogs, but winning three games is a lot easier than four.
  20. It’s the 5 game series where they will be most vulnerable. Greinke lost both his starts against the Mets in 2015 in the NLDS too
  21. Cashman punching some more air
