  1. I can see the argument. A lot of things have changed since the Bama W. The Alabama game was the highlight of our offseason preparation and game planning. Our team was at full strength, health wise. On the other side of the coin, Alabama was breaking in a new QB and made some very poor throws that we capitalized off of. Going into this weekend, we are far from full strength (multiple DBs, starting Edge, banged up OL, and missing our starting QB). Kansas State has figured their offensive identity out and can hurt us in the air and on the ground. Kansas State is nowhere near Alabama talent level, but they are a hot team playing for a Big12 CG berth. Sark and PK will have to earn their paycheck scheming around our injuries, especially the QB. Everyone knows we can get up for big games. This will be a huge data point in terms of our consistency, depth, and our coaches ability to be flexible.
  2. Our defensive game plan will be huge. I’ve been frustrated with our secondary for several weeks. We can’t let them drive between the 20s. BYU was too impotent in the RZ and their QB was too slow to make us pay. That’s far from the case with KSU. If we let them light us up through the air while their mobile QB runs like DG did on us, we'll be in trouble.
  3. This is a make or break the season game. I want to believe. Texas - 34 KSU - 24 Punt yards for KSU: 200 on 6 attempts (one gets blocked)
  4. They should’ve stayed independent. Too classy/professional for this bullshit conference.
  5. Yeah, it’s hard to hate Mack after he gave the program one of its best decades in history. Ten ten win seasons, two BCS bowl wins, two MNC appearances all speak for themselves (We were robbed out of a third MNC appearance in 2008). He did leave us in a rough spot on his way out. I get the frustration with that. That left a bad taste and somewhat tarnished his legacy, but it didn’t erase his accomplishments. After all, he wasn’t the one that forced us to hire Charlie Strong. He also didn’t force us to remedy the CS disaster with fucking Tom Herman.
  6. Them double Ds
  7. Ego could be it. Certainly looks like it with some of his stubbornness and tendencies.
  8. Cross post: Wisconsin called for taunting for standing over a tackled tOSU player. Down’s syndrome gets in Ewers’ helmet after a sack and the Big12 refs do nothing…

  10. KSU game will tell us a lot about how well Sark can adjust to circumstances.
  11. It’s certainly a possibility. From a semantics standpoint, I don’t think there’s a football team this season I would call “scary” good. Even Georgia looks beatable. With NIL and the portal flattening out the landscape, I’m not sure we’ll see teams like 2019 LSU or 2005 Texas nearly as often as in the past.
  12. Their offense had a chance to punch it in from the 1 on a 4th down, but their dumbass team took a delay of game there. Their red zone offense makes ours look good.
  13. Disagree. I think this site is scary good.
  14. I’m not as worried about Maalik against KSU as I am about Sarks playcalling droughts and trying to get too cute. Maalik settled down and played fairly well for his first start, after the 5:00 mark in Q2.
  15. A rather satisfying buttfucking of BYU in the end
  16. Fuck yeah Blue!!!!!
  17. Surprised we don’t give Arch a series
  18. Yeah but we’re Texas and the whole aggression thing isn’t very PC…
  19. Damn, should’ve been a pick-6
  20. Good red zone D
  21. Have y’all met PK?
  22. Because I’m totally being serious about firing an HC for one play call…
  23. If this play is some cute bullshit that fails to convert, fire Sark on the spot
  24. Give it to Brooks
