  1. Got dammit. I can't read, I guess. I missed that yours are for W2. My apologies.
  2. Lemme talk to my brats. There's a chance both will need Weekend 1 tickets. But if someone else wants 'em before that, sell, sell, sell!
  3. My kid is looking for 1. $500 for the pair or $500 each?
  4. Crazy weekend incoming. Not necessarily in this order: - Texas - ou - MLB Playoffs - F1 - Bathurst 1000
  5. Sign up for superview for $10 then cancel https://www.supercars.com/superview . A good deal for 6 hours and no ads.
  6. Yeah that's awesome. Aston Martin, yo. Also, Bathurst 1000 is this weekend. Sunday 11:15 am start in Bathurst = 7:15 pm Saturday here, afaik. MavTV has been carrying some Supercars stuff lately, but the only upcoming V8SC content I see listed there is Saturday at 4PM CDT, so I have no idea what that is.
  7. I bet he just sits there when the light turns green, too, looking at his cellphone, then flips you off when you beep your horn to wake him the fuck up ...
  8. What's funny is that I'd love to do the opposite of this even if it just meant that I could get Texas-ou tickets at face value and just make the rest of the money back by selling off my home tickets, even without a profit ... if I was confident that it would work. I think it might work in winning years like this one, but even then I have my doubts. For me, Texas-ou is the only game that when I miss it & have to watch it on TV, it hurts.
  9. I'd probably pay that if I coulld find it. Cheapest I'm seeing right now is $400 for shitty, shitty singles. I just can't justify that nonsense, even for the best regular season game in all of sports.
  10. Yeah Hurts is aiight. The rest of 'em, esp BM, can EABOD.
  11. Hey, anyone ... just out of curiosity, how much is face value this year? Last year was $175, right?
  12. BTW, what is face value this year, just out of curiosity?
  13. Yep. People paying insane, unjustifiable prices for the tickets is a huge part of the problem. Then you have 'brokers' (institutionalized, legitimized scalpers) cornering the market by buying up all the tickets online, creating a false sellout and then resetting the price level on their own. Internet-based ticket sales have given them the means to control both the buying and the re-selling. I've already been priced out of most of the stuff I love - F1, at least in the US, Texas-ou, MLB for the most part, etc. I could pay the prices, but it's not something I can justify in any reasonable way. I just can't justify spending a grand for 2 of us to sit in shitty seats for Texas-ou, or spending $1500 for 2 of us to go sit in GA at COTA for F1 weekend. And of course the prices go way up from there. It's fucking crazy, and sad. I was lucky last year with TX-ou. Afriend in the AD gave me very nice tix out of the blue. I guess that's pretty much my only way in from now on.
  14. Looked a minute ago and the cheapest I saw on tickpick was $400, and that was a single. Unreal. The internet + the 'brokers' have completely fucked the secondary market for tickets to just about anything.
  15. Are there still paper tickets being sold outside the stadium? Seems like buying an e-ticket outside the game might be problematic with phone issues, etc.
  16. That kind of thing has been suggested before (I think with Haas even, when they entered). It's not practical and never happens.
  17. Exactly. And solo teams that aren't trying to win it either & are just happy to be there?
  18. That's a start. Now make 'em lighter.
  19. 2025 or 2026. I've heard both. But remember, it's not over yet.
  20. The FIA has called FOM and the teams' bluff, forcing their hand, while covering their own asses and leaving FOM twisting in the wind with no options that they really like very much ... and it's beautiful, imho. I think in the end the teams and F1 will realize the best option is to just put on their big boy pants and let Andretti in. They won't like it ... but they don't have to like it. They've put the ball squarely in FOM and the teams' court, who will have to live with the consequences of whatever decision they make.
  21. FIA approves Andretti application for 11th F1 team slot https://us.motorsport.com/f1/news/fia-approves-andretti-application-for-11th-f1-team-slot/10527926/ https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/12957252/andrettis-f1-bid-given-fia-green-light-as-new-team-one-step-closer-to-joining-championship
  22. You are literally the dumbest fucking poster on this entire board. Congrats...I guess. You gotta think bigger. He's the dumbest motherfucker on the entire internet. That's quite an accomplishment.
