See, this is the problem with that post in the Bru McCoy thread.  Because it's not only irrelevant to the Happenings of Bru McCoy (TM), but it's also being discussed in at least three other threads, so we're getting the same jokes trotted out for the 4th time.  It's like fucking Groundhogs Day.

Groundhog Day is when you end up in the transfer portal, over and over, always ending back up in the same school at which you started.

  2. The addition of a dude holding up an LED sign telling us how long the TV timeout was going to last was awesome, however.

Way better than just staring at the dude with the bright orange oven mitt for minutes at a time, waiting for him to wave his arm around.

The thumbs up sign is only a 'gigem' in parts of the Brazos river valley an some slumaricious suburbs of Houston.

In the rest of the world it is NOT a cult recognition sign. It's just a thumbs up.

When is Aggy going to sue Facebook for misappropriating their thumbs up hand sign, that had never been used before Aggy started using it?

Yes, if you are completely writing off Whittington and Brown, then we need to sign Jordan. I’m not writing them off.

I wouldn't write either of them off. However, there's a good chance that Brown is available to practice next year without getting cleared to play in a real game. And Whittington might not be a RB as much as a utility RB/WR/etc.

kid runs weird. but he's quite a bit faster than everybody else on the field with him

I can't tell if he doesn't have good initial burst acceleration, or if he's just dancing around amongst the defenders too much, but once he gets to top speed, he's definitely fast. It looks like his Hudl highlights are against some pretty scrub-looking teams or he's just super-duper shifty (make you miss inside a phone-booth type of runner).

  6. I heard that Ed Orgeron likes to beat women. I'm surprised that I hadn't heard that he's a woman beater before.  He beat a woman and had a permanent restraining order against him? Sounds like a shitty person.

I would hate for thia to be widely known and disseminated.

    2023: The Shush Man Cometh

So I'm assuming those are varsity highlights? Don't we tell kids we only offer once they have varsity film?

One of the hudl videos is from a scrimmage, the others are from a varsity game against Texas City.

Found some other highlights from the Texas City game (he apparently ran 17 times for 122 yards).  http://picdeer.org/media/2122845382216798904_2919638872

I have an 8th grader and a 9th grader right now. I've watched a lot of football over the past year and seen kids going into 6A programs and none of them come close to this guy after seeing his Hudl. Any skepticism on WTF on offering a 2023 is out the window for me.

Agreed. I look at these highlights, and then think "Yep. It's ridiculous to even think about offering a 2023 player, unless he plays like this kid".

    Texas fans:

Looking for a family friendly place to pregame before the LSU game. Needs to be walkable to stadium. Would also like a way to be able to drive in and out relatively easily (will have wife and baby that need to get get out right before game time).

It's me and my family's first time going to DKR. We are excited.

Also, best place to trya nd pick up tickets?

There's not a whole lot that going to check all (many? any?) of your boxes here. Driving in and out is going to be impossible. Don't plan on being anywhere near the stadium with a car. It's just a bad idea. You can pay to park in one of the State garages, or just take an Uber.

Family friendly? Depends on your definition of family friendly. Do your kids like to hang out with lots of loud, drunk, football fans? Tons of people will be around with their kids, so just about anywhere you go will be fine. Otherwise, again, almost the entirety of anything walkable to campus will be filled drunk idiots like you'd expect at any big-time college football game.

You can try Sholz Garten (http://www.scholzgarten.com ), but it'll be akin to trying to go to Pat O's on Mardi Gras. Everybody and their cousin is told to go there, so it'll be super packed. Otherwise, just walk around anywhere you see a tailgate near campus, or go to Bevo Blvd. (on San Jacinto near the stadium)

Tickets? Anywhere you see lots of people there will be scalpers, but tickets for this game are going to be expensive and not so easy to come by. You may want to pick some up on Craigslist before the game. Otherwise, anywhere along MLK between Guadalupe & I-35 or on San Jacinto from 15th to the stadium should be plenty of tickets.
