I would pay $50 if you could do a "reading mean tweets" segment with Lucci, but instead of mean tweets he gives commentary on all the pics of him eating bags o' dicks.

Nah, I've heard his preference is 1 front, 1 rear, and a rover.
I prefer when we run the DVDA defense (2 in the A gap/2Â in the B Gap) , but on obvious passing downs we could run the DP or even the Eiffel Tower defense.Â

This "mail bag"... Is it a large bag? How many pieces of mail can you fit in it? 180,000 or so?
Do you think we plan on unleashing this "bag" to 2021 kids whose 'ship may have already sailed? Or starting with 2022 kids?

half your age plus 7 is basic stuff. Don't think you need a spreadsheet for it
That's the old formula. The new formula is:
Take half your age, multiply times two, subtract your age, plus 18 . It gets the correct answer every time.

Speaking of Quay... how did Zach Evans do at TCU this year?

While I enjoyed that analysis, it is a little apples to oranges when looking at the players in aggregate. He is comparing our top three players this year to other great UT player's single seasons. If you are going to look in this group in aggregate, you should compare them to the top-3 guards for our all-time great teams.Â
Let's do that now. As you will see below, to date this group of guards compares very favorably to any of the below teams. The only recent group that looks better than them is the 2008 group with Augustin, Abrams and Mason, but this group is more efficient than that one. Â
Â
2021:Â Coleman (SR), Ramey (JR), Jones (JR) - Updated, Currently 10-1 and #4 in the country
13.6 pts, 3.4 ast, 2.9 reb, 2.1 TO, 48.9% from two, 35.4% from three and 80.2% from the line in 32.2 mpg
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2008:Â D. Augustin (SO), A. Abrams (JR), J. Mason (So) - Elite 8
14.3 pts, 3.4 ast, 3.4 reb, 1.6 TO, 46.6% from two, 37.2% from three and 76.8% from the line in 35.3 mpg
Â
Â
I haven't looked it up (too lazy), but going from memory, Justin Mason was a lockdown defender that had plenty of offensive troubles (I shudder to think about him running the point after Augustin left), and probably brought these numbers down.Â
Also, it's near impossible to compare across seasons when the pace of play changes so much. You'd need to somehow find historical records for number of offensive possessions per game to look at the efficiency.

Tim Beam: The Trouble With Shaka's Backcourts
Â
Good writeup. I wonder why he didn't put Zay Taylor in there, and compare his first 2 seasons under Barnes with his third season under Shaka.

I thought it strange that there was no confirmation that Sark had reach out to Ewers since Ewers is the most logical "first call" and there were reports that Sark had been reaching out to 21/22 targets. Not saying he's going to flip, nor am I getting my hopes up, but I'm of the opinion Sark and Ewers have spoken recently and Ewers would just prefer to keep it quiet for the time being.
I'm sure that a tight schedule, coaching for Bama, recruiting for Texas, working to poach a verbal commit from the team Bama plays against tonight, and making sure the recruits that have already committed/signed feel the love all make it tricky to thread the needle of propriety, teenage feels, and making Ewers priority #1.
In this regard, I'd rather just give Sark time to breathe and operate this week. If Ewers doesn't get a call from Sark this week (or he does and we don't hear confirmation of it), it's not the end of the world. There's still plenty of time til NSD 22.

Not sure about Flower Mound specifically, but kids/families on the West Coast have been flocking to Texas since August because of the CoVid shutdown on the West Coast. Hell, even NM athletes have been coming in since all sports in NM are shut down.
This is what I was trying to get clarification on. His parents are moving from Seattle to Texas mainly for their son's high school football.

Average age is probably closer to 35
Average weight is probably 275
Average junk length: 5.75 inches (excluding @hornfromdallas apparently who skews the average)
Average Annual Net Income: $110K (excluding all male nurses who make $1M plus and skew the average)
Did you forget to insert Rocko's paystub into your Net Income calculator?

Any info on why the move to Flower Mound? Is it just for football? Any UIL issues?

This thread title needs an enhancement. All Bags, No Brakes is just sitting there waiting to be taken.Â
I plan on launching a 2024 thread with the tag line âShow Me Your Causeâ or âMartinis, Theyâre Whatâs For Breakfastâ soon.Â
There's lots of options, depending on how the rest of the staff plays out.
"Sark Attack 2023 - We're gonna need a bigger bag"
If we get Banks, all kinds of things are on the table - "Pole Position",  "Bags 'N Hoes"
If Muschamp returns - "Boom I got your boyfriend"....Â

Most of you here are too young to remember the old Celtics announcer, Johnny Most. He was hysterically biased. "Parish with the rebound... Parish up for the follow, HACKED, no call... HACKED again, still no call... HACKED a third time, still no call."
Obviously you've never listened to Sean Elliott call a Spurs game.Â

Im going to pretend you just didnt imply bag o dicks is a legend..
I mean, he did eat the Old 96er, a 96 oz. platter of dicks, cementing his place as a dick-eating legend.

The opening five minutes, when we just kept getting layups and alley-oop dunks was amazing. There was a stretch after halftime where we took too many contested threes or ugly twos early in tbe shot clock that frustrated me, but they stuck with it and pulled out a win.
Definitely a fun team to watch.Â

Why wouldn't he play if he traveled? Â
He traveled because he's the hype man on the bench. The eligibility rules are beyond my comprehension right now, but I believe he's going to redshirt this season. He's played a total of 3 minutes so far.
The only reason he'd play is if there's really no other option to put five guys on the court.

And no, I don't think Febres will play. I doubt he's in game shape yet.Â

Hepa may have traveled, but I doubt he plays. Hamm is likely going to get 6-8 minutes to spell Brown, Kai, Sims (or if there's foul trouble).

OSU fans are generally regarded as the worst fans in CFB and love to burn couches.
Eagles fans throw batteries , snowballs at Santa Claus, cheered Michael Irvin's neck injury, and burned Cowboys jerseys in effigy.
So it's probably a wash.
