  1. Really really good. Judas, Caiaphas, Annas, MaryM all cast perfectly. Glad they stayed pretty faithful to the original score. Caught one change and one mistake. -one of Pilates lines, "what is truth? Is truth unchanging law? We both have truths, are mine the same as yours?" Was pretty heavily changed. I am sure there were other small edits. -legend came in a few bears behind on one line toward the end. It was a part where I bet 95% didn't notice because of how repetitive the music is at times. Would watch again.
  2. Yeah, it was only for a couple of seconds as he walked in, but it was some much needed levity. And mirth can be one of nature's best ways to numb pain.
  3. Would loved to have grilled today. But, it's April and I've got 3+ inches of snow on the ground today. Since the first day of spring we've had 12 inches of snow. Man, fuck the midwest winters.
  4. Hey Torquemada, whaddya say? I just got back from the Auto-de-fe. Auto-de-fe, what’s the Auto-de-fe? It’s what they ought’nt to do but they do anyway.
  5. Action Park looked amazing and terrifying at the same time. That upcoming Johnny Knoxville movie looks to be lightly based around it. Do yourself a favor and watch this video about Action Park
  6. one of the best threads on the former site. re-posts always welcome.
  7. truth. blantons, er, etl, mck all easily found here. but for some reason being nextdoor to ky i can rarely find any weller offerings. when it's on the shelf it's as good as gone.
  8. not my idea, posted in the general forum name nominations thread: Prestige Worldwide
  9. fisnished beer 3 and heading into my 5th eagle rare. my in-laws place is really exciting.
  10. Was at Tim Brown's induction into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and got to sit at his table (2005, iirc). Met Augie Garrido at the event (he was also being inducted), RIP. Was an usher at church on Ash Wednesday a few years ago and the brothers Harbaugh came in (NFL combine was taking place). Talked to them for a short second and then helped them find a pew. Chatted with Les Miles at a juco football game when he was on the sideline scouting a QB - Zach Mettenberger. Did a Sunday communion/scripture service for the Eagles when they couldn't find a priest to say Mass. Stayed and ate dinner with the team afterwards. Did not tell them I was a Cowboys fan - it was too unique of an experience to pass up.
  11. fuckheads who don't know the proper way to execute a 4-way stop. when two cars approach at the same time next to each other, driver on the RIGHT gets the right-of-way. when two cars approach at the same time opposite each other, the driver turning left DOES NOT get the right-of-way. fucking indiana.
  12. @chesthair and I played a short game of "Airport Hot or Not" at my dad's funeral. Needed the levity in the moment but there sure as shit isn't anyone else I can share that with. 4 years ago today.
  13. Still the worst. Same name here.
  14. his regular daiquiris are just winecoolers, so i assume this one would suck just as badly.
  15. Looked like we get a peek of it at least...
  16. double with cheese. no veggies. japs and mayo.
  17. I blame Kevin Morgan. Oh wait... that ass hat unintentionally borked shaggy - no way he’d ever figure out how to do this on purpose (go take a look if you haven’t seen shaggy today).
  18. Anastasis, those chops look fucking awesome. I wish we weren't traveling for Easter. Will be the first year since we were married that I'm not doing some type of Lamb on Sunday. Instead we get my m-i-l's bland whatever she decides to make.
  19. Gotdam I can't wait to go. Will be in France for 11 days for work in May. Spending 5 days in Le Mans... so bummed that I'll be missing the 24 hour race by just two weeks. Any Le Mans recs? The other 5 days I'll be in Paris, but have done enough internet exploring of the city over the years that I know exactly what major churches I want to visit and then get lost in all of the out-of-the way things I've read about over the years.
  20. That's a College Station 9.
  21. Pat McAfee Show - any of the ones with John Daly. He's a true American hero. Last Podcast on the Left - the ones covering the Menendez brothers. I laughed way too much.
  22. 99% invisible - Flags. All about design, shitty design, and good design behind city/state/national flags. It's actually better to watch than listen to this one.
  23. my expectations get higher with every new thing that comes out.
