  1. I watched the whole production - it was fun. Warholm having to wear a Swedish jersey today is lol. That was the bet, loser has to wear the other country's jersey. T&F needs more stuff like this and less bullshit like Syd not being allowed to qualify for the finals in the diamond league 400 and 200 next week because she hasn't run "enough" diamond league races this season. Mondo offered to run a 400 against her head to head as a fallback plan.
  2. Whatever the spread is, take WKU.
  3. You're right. And I hate that. I am so tired of a season that's just good enough to make the CFP or BCS and then getting boatraced. I'd rather just play in a decent bowl and look respectable. But at some point I do think/hope Freeman helps the Irish turn the corner and replicate what hasn't been done since I was 5 in 1988 and win a title. The rest of the schedule is pretty cake. Northern Illinois (dammit wtf), Purdue (somewhat traditional rivalry, but they suck), Miami.... **ahem** of Ohio (dammit again), Louisville (ACC draw from our tie-in), Stanford (tradtional rivalry unfortunately they are the suck for a long time now), Georgia Tech (ACC), Navy (my favorite rivalry for the traditions of why we do it, but they aren't great), FSU (ACC but LOLOLOLOL), Virginia (ACC) Army (Meh) USC (ok finally something respectable) It's a one-loss schedule: either lose to USC on the road or beat them and end up choking in another game. Either way, that's the scenario that sucks. We finish 11-1 and are in the bottom half of playoff rankings and get beat in the first or second round, badly. Lose 2 games and there's no way that resume belongs in the playoffs.
  4. Scrong to quite scrong. Always loved SMU's classic looks.
  5. Said it for over a dozen years, this is one of the greatest threads on the internets. Don't get to post much in the Jan-Jul because of track season but in the fall, I'm here for it. @BigDHornfan those B&G fuck, hard. And @sith_horn that smothered burrito is now on my craving list to make next Saturday when watching games. Been making salsa lately. Folks at school just drop off bags and bags of produce from their gardens (tomato, jalapenos, cilantro, etc). I was also gifted half a cow for Father's Day this summer and holy shit not only is it so much more cheaper than buying beef at the store, it's so much better quality. It was choice and not prime, but you could easily fool me. We got all the steaks and roasts we could and then the rest was ground. Came out to $3.25 per LB. Never buying meat from the store again. Especially with my two boys, HS and grade school, who have bottomless stomachs. Salsa recipe I currently and tinkering with: -Two large tomatoes, 5 cherry tomatoes, half of an onion, 2 tomatillos, 2 japs, 1 serrano (add more peppers if you like more heat). -A little oil, a little salt. Broil and turn until everything is browned and roasted -Add in lime juice (couple tablespoons) and half bunch of cilantro. Blend. -Add in water, more lime juice, or liquid from the roasting pan to reach consistency you like. More salt as needed. Just one more thing I haven't bought in years and will never buy from the store again - salsa.
  6. Didn't realize hard boiled eggs were that difficult for many people. To be frank I suck at making bechamel and roux. Not great at baking sweets. But eggs, with one of these cookers the eggs come out perfectly done (at least the way we do it) and to peel, I just crack on the top of the egg (the orientation it was when in the cooker) and that not only breaks the shell but also the interior membrane that used to give me so much trouble and would cause the shedding of egg white when peeling. There's enough moisture that I can then peel the egg and membrane off very easily. Haven't had a botched egg in the last decade since using a cooker like this.
  7. But if it's just a car... as-is and can't time-hop? I'm taking Bond's aston martin.
  8. Well aware. Been reading these posts for 20 years now and it's amazing - not just the lack of originality - but how aggy lap up this fan fiction like a parched dog in the desert.
  9. A Notre Dame fan/alum capitalizing midnight yell, lol. No one here knows what the fuck that is, but the uneducated ND students and fans will learn really quick if we allow that shit to take place on campus next year. We do have our own cheesy night tradition - the drummers in the band do a practice the night before gamedays outside on the steps of the Main Building (gold dome). But its much less creepy... and way less rapey.
  10. Aggy on social media sharing a message his Domer friend sent him after the game. Like clockwork: I've been to several away games over the years, and can confidently say that the A&M fans were the absolute nicest we've ever ran into. Everywhere we went it was "Howdy, welcome to College Station". They are very proud of their history and story and offered up so much very interesting stories throughout the weekend. We had several drinks bought for us at every bar we went to, even a few from the bartenders! We even went to the Midnight Yell, and were treated with the same hospitality. We were going to be respectful and wear neutral colors, but were encouraged before hand to wear our green and gold. We were welcomed to numerous tailgates and they made us feel at home at each one of them. If you appreciate military history and ever get the chance to visit the campus, I highly recommend it.
  11. Ugh, yes. When UT came up a few years ago I had a bunch of family in town and didn't want to bail on them to use my tickets, so I sold them to Deej - don't remember who went with him... Thujone? I was happy to do it because I know Texas fans act like human beings and have been on the board (Shaggy) all the way back to '07. Not a fucking chance in hell I sell my tickets to aggy. And I will be advising anyone else I know with tickets absolutely not to sell either. I really hope we don't facilitate them having midnight yell on campus and make them fend for themselves. Ugh.
  12. Maybe already posted here... but damn her hair reminds me of Requiem for a Dream.
  13. You could've just said "he aggy."
  14. I just took out the jock bully part and it's this character from Can't Hardly Wait. It was cringy when it was released, too.
  15. These fuckers are somehow at the same time both obliviously racist and intentionally at the same time. Unapologetic either way. Living in Indiana I deal with maybe 1-2 aggy per year, but for my friends and colleagues up here who get to know aggy better every year with more media exposure of their lunacy, I feel like I need to send them straight to aggypedia and to defend the great state of Texas against these ignorant rubes. I hate that they define any bit of perception that a non-Texan may have of our state. More quotes from that thread: "I guess he's a gangster now." "He seems to have affected a rather urban sounding accent heard most often within the hip hop culture." "First time finding out Weigman is a black guy" "100% wouldn't know that dudes complexion on the phone" "It's called "pattern recognition"." "I've had plenty of friends that were white and talked ghetto and were good life-long friends. The same can be said about black friends talking and acting of middle-class proper (great people as well). Connor is probably a great guy (I don't know him) but I was really shocked when he started talking."
  16. I need some Texags gold this morning. Hair of the dog for an aggy tears hangover. Re: Kyle Field - "The crowd was rocking tonight. I thought the atmosphere was great. Sad our offense couldn't live up to the hype. I was there with three first time visitors. They all commented on how loud it was. One said this was hands down better than Austin. He had never seen or heard anything like it." Elko is a UT plant, lol -"Make it make sense y'all. BMDs in the room had the wool once again pulled over their eyes… There HAS to have been someone championing this guy on the sip payroll, and couching it in the guise of "this guy is an Aggie through and through", which we know plays to our weakness here. Just tired of us setting millions on fire and settling for middle of the conference." Bring back Rumlin! - "Sumlin was the man... You can hate the swag movement but that was the best offense and defense" There's plenty over there. What a dumpster fire of a website.
  17. He was terrible flat out terrible. ND secondary was good, but the DL wasn't doing much to disrupt him till late in the game and aggy were in 100% passing mode and the D line could just pin their ears back and go. Irish penalties kept aggy in the game in large part.
  18. Some caller waited on hold for a long time to get on and say Elko looked like a fat slob on the sideline, call got dumped quick. Bravo if that was one of y'all.
  19. Zero sacks on an offensive line who has 6 more career starts than I have. I do think that is a positive for ND going forward. Their play improved and evolved through the night. And our D was good? Can't tell because of how poorly CW played. Just terrible.
  20. I'd say when it all plays out, probably second or third best on their schedule. It's not a strong one at all. Here. We. Go. (live show starting now) Oh, God and they start off listing all the coaches they've done a first show for, lol.
  21. They all picked aggy except Corso who came out doing a jig with the student mascot, both dressed in green.
