    Like I was saying

I'm on board with letting that tub of shit stew a few more days, maybe with a few extra hints that "it's coming tomorrow" only for it to be delayed a bit longer.  I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the big one actually hits ...

I guess some people actually do have limits to how far they'll go.

Never doubted it for a second. He's the good you, you're the bad you. Good you, bad you, good you, bad you...

Scott Bakula? Did he learn nothing from Murphy Brown?

If I’d had to guess I probably would’ve gone with Huey Lewis.

Is this going to turn into another Don Bongino thing?

Well, I’ve been told we need to shorten the games. Because reasons.

    See above.

I get it, but it's like calling a PI in the endzone with 0:15  in the 4q for handfighting.  It might be a technical infraction, but you don't call it at that point.

Batter just called out with bases loaded in penn game. Yeah, glad we have these rules. So fucking dumb.

How in the fuck does an ump have the nuts to do that bullshit?  Just absurd.  Fucker needs to have some common sense.

These mass shootings are so common that this one, in Utah back in January, didn't even warrant mentioning in this thread at the time:

    https://nypost.com/2023/01/16/obit-praises-utah-dad-michael-haight-who-killed-wife-5-kids/

TLDR:  Utah man kills his wife, mother-in-law, and five kids before shooting himself. Obituary doesn't mention, you know, that, but instead talks about how he was leader in everything he did, an Eagle Scout etc...  Family later releases statement in favor of gun rights  and starts a GoFundMe with a photo that shows Jesus standing with the family in place of the murderer.

    From that article:

    Quote

Tausha’s sister-in-law, Jennie Earl, told the Associated Press that Michael had removed all guns from the home before the shootings.

She said the lack of access to firearms left Tausha Haight, her mother and her children more “vulnerable.”

Well, apparently not all of the guns ...

  8. We're well on our way to going back to the days of the Wild West (or worse actually), as the GQP arm of the federal judiciary is hellbent on making sure that we can't have any regulation of guns.

We all knew this was coming when Thomas concocted his bullshit "not consistent with our Nation’s history and tradition" reasoning, but here we fucking go.  What could possibly go wrong?

  9. We absolutely, positively cannot live with the oppression of requiring gun owners to have liability insurance cuz everyone knows that nothing ever goes wrong when good guys with guns (TM) are exercising their patriot eagle freedoms. /Texas leg.

Texas School Picture Day Photographer Expands Offerings To Include Memorial Posters

Image for article titled Texas School Picture Day Photographer Expands Offerings To Include Memorial Posters

SAN ANTONIO—After noticing a sharp increase in demand in recent months, local school picture day photographer Allison Cummings announced Friday that she would expand her offerings to include large memorial posters. “We’re pleased to let our many Texas clients know they can now order a 26-by-34 memorial poster board of their child’s face that would perfectly represent them at a wake or vigil,” said Cummings, recommending parents, grandparents, and other surviving family members act now to purchase the large-format version of what might be the last photograph of their child ever captured.

“Take it from other mourning parents: You won’t want to be concerned with this kind of thing if the unthinkable occurs a few days, weeks, or months from now. This is the sort of high-quality inkjet print and sturdy cardboard your child deserves to have hanging above their casket. It’s only $39.99, and we’re offering 15% off and our condolences to anyone with more than one child in the same Texas school.”

At press time, Cummings was overheard instructing one smiling child to “do a serious one” in case he turned out to be the next shooter.

Need a new "laughing / crying / angry" posrep for these sorts of posts because I always feel shitty for clicking the laughing or hook'em ones ...

Even worse, fuckhead only has to serve 9 days, twice per year, for five years. He gets to live a normal life except for nine days every six months. Human life is cheap these days.

"Well, you see, his gun gets depressed when he's not around for more than 10 days, so he can't be expected to be in prison for more than 9 days at a time ..."

Frisco ISD had social media threats of violence today and are excusing any absences but still holding school.

My school in Plano is near the border with Frisco and I already have multiple parents emailing that they would keep their kids home today.

Supposed to give the STAAR math test tomorrow so I'm sure that will go swimmingly.

I wish kids across the state would hold a massive STAAR test day walkout as a very special "fuck you" to the Texas political leaders that have failed them.
