  1. If Bill Laimbeer is your measurement of great defenders from the 80s and 90s, then I understand your position
  2. You're telling me any team now remotely resembles the Pistons or Knicks or Bulls on defense from those days? Missed shots might bolster your case, if you're in to that kind of thing. We had 45missed 3's by one team in a playoff game the other night. Maybe that's a draw. It is not to me. Additionally, my opinions are just that. Doesn't make em right or wrong.
  3. 80's & 90's 1. Real defense 2. Pick & roll game also the Center/ pivot based schemes on offense. IDGAF of your big man likes launching 3's 3. 3Pt shot not the focal point of the offense It COULD be a feature, but it was rare 4. no load management 5. Don't like today's defensive rules and certainly don't believe they improved the game. I'd also posit the bigtime stars during those days made you root harder for/ against individual teams. Now, I really DGAF. To be fair, my views on this front also apply to the NFL and to a certain degree- NHL & MLB. I support the players getting paid, but it does change the dynamics of fandom as well. I miss George Springer being an Astro, I can't root for the Blue Jays though either.
  4. Imagining a good portion of posters on here...
  5. 'We're gonna make you forget all about that eczema... by making you die. "
  6. Because it's logical. Don't make it more complicated than it is...
  7. Harry and the Stevensons, eh?
  8. I am convinced AI will never gain critical mass and take over the world. After almost daily use of the word 'Cheeto' it still goes with Chito, which I have never used once. I turn off auto correct, but voice text is still a fucking joke.
  9. How about showing a fucking pulse? No hits. No hustle. No shots. Gotdam boys. Go to the fucking lockeroom and diddle your clits already.
  10. Given Saban's stance on NIL, and the results of Campbell's; I'd posit that you couldn't get two folks further apart on the topic.
  11. We were on 3rd base side right at the outfield grass. Beautiful day for baseball, but it was absolutely a contending team vs a last place squad. Gotdam the Rockies suck.
  12. I do enjoy Freddie Coleman and Harry Douglass on ESPN Radio. No gimmicky, fratboy bullshit. I like their takes and they don't always agree, but they also avoid the 'Let's argue like Mike & Mike routine.' Freddie caught my ear when he started out doing late nights/ early morning years ago. I agree with him alot, but he also just has a great delivery along with genuine, non- canned answers that differentiates him from a lot of their people.
  13. 62 degrees, sunny skies. Calm winds with occasional pot wafting through the air. 'Merica!!!
  14. In Denver going to Rockies vs Detroit. Tuesday's game got rained out so today is DH. Told my cousin I ain't sitting through 2 Rockies games in one day, but that option beats the alternative of zero.
  15. You can be friends when they're 30...
  16. I watched both games last night. I love college basketball, but what I watched last night was a shit product. For all of the talk about inadequacies of the WNBA game, which I do not watch; that crap in the NBA is basically unwatchable 3 bombs and just...I don't know what the hell to call it. I have zero inclination/ desire to watch more. I was just with Nugget fans/ family who wanted to do so. There's also no fucking way I'm watching regular season games either, and I loved basketball growing up/ early adulthood. The game play was trash and not compelling at all.
  17. The terlet is lectric?
  18. Shots on goal in the third period are Carolina 13, Washington, 0… And the caps had a PP in the third period
  19. That sounds like a random ringer you can choose on your iPhone
  20. That does look like some 1980's 1st generation font on the TRS-80.
  21. Maybe she just wants the banana in the tailpipe.
  22. I like what the list does for joints that I want to make it, and that recognition can make a difference. Tyler's in Amarillo made Top 5 on one list or another in the past year, and I saw multiple folks in the past few months who were either visiting with Tyler about it( he likes to talk with folks in line, especially right at opening.) or talking about it at the tables. That part is good in the "smaller towns/" non-metro areas. See also Rejinos in Olton and Evie Mae's in Wolfforth. That being said, being on that list can make the lines stupid long in the cities. It's just how it goes. If Franklin drops off the list, it will do zero to impact his reputation or that of his product. Y'all know it. He knows it. Everyone knows it, 'cept for the amateurs. I walked into Terry Blacks in Dallas last week at 11:30 AM with buddies and there were 3 people ahead of us. Everything about our meal was fantastic, but I very rarely hear them mentioned as "elite." Had Corkscrew in Spring about 2 months ago and waited about 15minutes in line. IDGAF if they ever make a list. I know it's gonna be world class brisket and excellent whatever else I order.
