  1. Tell the victim's parents that the perps are still just learnin. /rolleyes.
  2. the reaction was the payoff. Exactly.
  3. Tony Kemp is part of what's right about baseball and professional sports. Good luck Sir!
  4. Maybe that "one player" in the question was NOT Caitlin Clark.
  5. The NHL shifted from the 2-3-2 playoff format to its current 2-2-1-1-1 format, which is still in use today, in 1982. This change involved the use of a different home-ice advantage format throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Here's a more detailed explanation: 1982: The NHL introduced a format that included a more balanced home-ice advantage schedule throughout the playoffs, moving away from the previous 2-3-2 structure. 1982-1993: This format, which utilizes the 2-2-1-1-1 format for home-ice advantage, remained in use throughout the 1980s and 1990s. 1994: The NHL returned to the 2-3-2 format for a period of time. 2013-14: The NHL made the decision to return to the original 2-2-1-1-1 format for home-ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This format is still in use today.
  6. sorry. Braindead. 2-3-2 format in my noggin.
  7. I'm just gonna suggest instead of "USA!" chant tonight, go with "We love Finland!" or some shit that is more applicable to the team.
  8. My traditional 50gl waterheater is in the garage. We get single digit weather pretty much every winter, and sometimes colder. Never remotely had an issue with freezing water during those times.( knocks on multiple pieces of wood)
  9. That is exactly the narrative. LOL. but not the content on this subject. Current NIL is not a hindrance for Tech football, which is an outlier, for sure. I am also confident one could find Tech fans bitching about it, but not the ones who are paying attention.
  10. Song has been covered a lot, but I like this one the best.
  11. @Wash and @NYG in the nice December/ January weather of the Atlantic seaboard should be fun.
  12. Like others, I started up R1 after finishing Andor last night. Gamechanging. It's like getting another new movie.
  13. "unreliable" carpenter? If not a typo, that seemed odd as I read it.
  14. Typically, that isn't a long wait...
  15. Rejino BBQ in Olton, TX. Texas Trinity plate. The perfectly rendered moist brisket isn't the most visually perfect I've ever had, but OMG it was so good!!! Ribs were excellent. Jalapeno cheddar sausage had me wishing I had ordered the original, but live and learn, right? The hunk of meat on the bottom right is 3 burnt ends, and are the best ones I've ever had in my life. I damned near went into the pie scene in When Harry Met Sally. The cucumber/tomato salad was PERFECTLY tangy for this carnivore plate and cutting that "meaty" taste that builds up on the palate. The bacon mac & cheese was creamy and hit the spot. Did not use a drop of sauce, so I have no idea if it's good or not. Typically I put some on my bread, but not today. $41 after tip and adding on the burnt ends( best choice of the day!) He does all kinds of daily specials like CFS or smoked burgers. The time says he opens at 11, but I walked in at 10:45 and they were ready to go. There is also a little express store in the same building with other stuff for the trip/ taking home. I know it is a very remote location, but if you're ever out in the boonies between LBK and AMA; it is absolutely worth the trip.
  16. CSB... While visiting Louisville Slugger Factory a few weeks ago. Was surprised to see Cam Smith already having his own allotment to the side. The other dudes...you might've heard of em. These are "billets" or the original wood before they are cut to the players' desired specs. This is in the "bat room," which is basically their museum of custom bats for players through the years. "No ring" is not WS related, but rather unfortunate, just the same. Biggio's game used bat.
  17. Someone upthread mentioned Saban and Campbell were not necessarily aligned. Oh, but we love writing the stories on our own basis and need for hate.
  18. Just finished. I thought it was great. 2 questions: 1. I understand the rebellion has to be cynical to survive; but how many fucking deposits in the Good Guys Bank & Trust does fucking Cassian have to make before the leaders trust him? That inquiry in E12 was like he was just some random shmuck walking in from the rain. " Maybe I should stop saving people" was the line of the show, IMHO. 2. Why are there multiple abodes in the series that just leave their front door, if there was one, wide ass open, with zero regard to AC or insects in a tropical environment? Meanwhile on Dagobah...
  19. We don't negotiate pay/ wages/ comp. You're right though, it's not my money; but I basically own everything else about the worker's experience.
  20. I didn't put that there, someone else did. I also post very rarely in here, but employment and labor relations are something I am very passionate about.
  21. Carbonneau and keane are exactly who I was thinking of last night; however, I don't remember them repeatedly making stupid idiotic penalties that hurt the team
  22. Or maybe… I don't know… Have an environment where people don't feel the need to have somebody else represent them. I know that iis an affront to everything some of you fuckers believe in. it's also no surprise the most unionized areas are the most left-leaning, in the country
