  1. Best cauliflower dish I ever had was at August. Put the rest of our tasting menu to shame. Still not sure what happened.
  2. These guys are right on. Time time time. Start with butter, add salt and pepper and keep stirring. I use medium to medium-low heat.
  3. Wife is at a play tonight so it’s rib eye for me. Kids are asleep, decided to open a nice bottle. Things are good right now.
  4. I don't have a treasured recipe, but I usually go with a potato (shredded with a bunch of melted butter) as the base, add scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage (cooked in a pan before adding), and cheese. This is your base. If you want to doctor it up with sauteed onions, japs, green chilies, veg, etc. it's up to you. 350 oven for an hour or so.
  5. Haha, nice win by Miami.
  6. Does anyone know where Luck is from or if he ever played football at NRG while in high school?
  7. The Texans should just do that every time they have the ball.
  8. THAT was a throw by the Watson we want to see.
  9. Damn, that was a chance for a block.
  10. Yup. They start to gain some momentum and then Watson takes the dumb shit sack.
  11. Pats in RZ [Debbie Downer]
  12. Yup, now Luck is just picking the D apart.
  13. Exactly. the Texans are winning in spite of our coaches inability to understand clocks. Also, why take the delay of game penalty and waste valuable clock time. Couldn’t you just tell the lineman to jump early or something?
  14. I’m drinking Michters 10 and Old Fitzgerald BiB In solidarity.
  15. Yup almost put that in there too. Also a pretty good value for a rose.
  16. I’m partial to the Bollinger Grand Anee ($130ish). Charles Heidseick in a NV brut or Rose is fantastic. The 1999 rose was out of this world. Reeder makes a good vintage rose. Others we like: Gaston Chiquet Pierre Gimmonet st Fils (blanc de blanc and Vintage extra brut are both excellent)
  17. Well, the house is clearly priced too high. The market will decide how much someone wants to pay for the house next to the lights.
  18. I like to clarify the deal: “So you are going to correctly tell me the store, city and state I purchased my shoes?”
  19. Certainly not not the former. However, it depends on how the gambling goes whether we get some sleep or taxi straight to the airport.
  20. Anyone mention Time Bandits? Also, the whole American Ninja genre was right up our elementary school wheelhouse.
  21. A small group of buddies and I headed there next week for a quick trip. Fly in early Friday morning, lunch at Patois, then cocktails, then Galatoires for dinner, then some cocktails, perhaps some gambling, then fly out the next morning at 9:30. Easy peasy.
  22. Who says romance is dead?
  23. What Sunns38 said. Never experienced the prototypical rude New Yorker in my years of working/living there.
  24. Would also work with: I believe this movie. A dude could jump off a mountain and not hurt himself, because he DID brace himself, and knew something about the levels of gravitivity and polarity.
  25. ERhine has the rye and gave me a taste. It’s really really nice. Btw, I decided it was time to open something from the 22 bottle hoard. This is as excellent as I remember.
