  1. It appears to be a 2024 D-Lineman. And the aggy faithful are pissed about that being what the build up was about.
  2. You’re most likely looking at a 4 year amount + commit/signing bonus. Let’s just say the $1.5 mill is accurate. With the desperation aggy needed to land Hill, I’d imagine it’s structured something like this: 1) $50k commitment 2) $250k Signed NIL 3) $300k per scholly year $1.5 is the max deal, but player would have to play out 4 years to obtain the full amount. $300k “up front” incentivizes player to pull trigger, with $50k being the “good faith” delivery upon committing
  3. Had to look up because I’m not hip. I’ll assume this is confirmation of the bag being heavy.
  4. Our defense was shit last year, and when bags are being dropped, I gotta believe the situation will need to appear more lucrative to a recruit if we aren’t ponying up to come near the oppositions #. Field a defense with a pulse and show upward trajectory, and outcomes may be different. As it currently stands, it’s still bag game vs NIL. Most believe NIL will eventually prevail, but we are still in its infancy. Texas appears way farther along than most. Also, with the portal and “free agency”, holes can be filled w/o recruiting. If a biletnikoff winner can portal, then so can all-american type LB’s. Those who’ve shown their NIL game to be legit, and not smoke and mirrors, will have advantages.
  5. Pancake factory is public knowledge. Scholly O-line gets $50k per. Texas doesn’t even have to make a pitch to individuals for them to know this. If other schools aren’t willing/able to match Texas’ base offer, a recruit knows that this offer is always on the table (assuming the coaches are willing to accept the commitment). The floor for O-line will always be good due to this. The concept of paying entire positions is genius, assuming your boosters/alumni have the bank to back it
  6. So was this the commitment? Only barely caught Johntay’s live IG and snagged the screen grab. Can’t see any other confirmation
  7. Well if nothing else, this shitshow that’s occurring is helping pass the time before the MM announcement this evening
  8. Fake info being given to see who’s leaking info that the staff doesn’t want out in the public realm? Definitely an easy way to catch them if you feed different people different names we are certainly not getting🤷🏼‍♂️
  9. I got a DWI in Travis Co about 8 years ago with a Tavor (bullpup) and 1000 rounds in the backseat. It stayed a misdemeanor and didn’t increase the severity. Laws may have changed since then, but I didn’t get a felony up-charge. The cops freaked out and brought 5 more units out. I told them it was there from the jump🤷🏼‍♂️
  10. I’d say that those offenses above may have posted a 50+ppg avg if they were on the gas the entire game, and didn’t let off in 4th qtrs where games were secured. “All gas, no brakes” may actually be a thing for us, though (although in an unfortunate way). If Ewers is adequate/good, an OL plays decent…… I could see our ppg inflated due to never letting up the whole game (out of necessity). A 45-13 game going into the 4th usually has the winning team playing backups and taking the air out of the ball. Maybe 1 TD at most. A 45-37 game going into the 4th is a different ballgame. With the assumption that QB/OL play is adequate/good, it’s not out of the realm that 50ppg can be achieved.
  11. Fuck off…… you will not rain on Arch/Marg parade today, sir.
  12. I have a rule to not drink while away on jobs (oil field work, and past issues have occurred ). I’ve been away and sober since 7/1/21 while currently in New Mexico on a job. Today…….. we celebrate.
  13. As with most things, the market will determine value. Everytime a higher amount is paid, a new floor is essentially set. Will those who overpay be burned? Time will tell. The current landscape is in a price discovery phase.
  14. This shoe appears to be my size. However, it’s been an opinionated take the entire time. Everything after that was reasoning as to how my opinion was reached
  15. Multiple variables were involved in the declining offensive productivity after the OU game. We are able to observe what happened when the offense was fully healthy. We are able to observe what happened after some key pieces were injured. The fact that the games vs tougher defensive opponents coincided with the timing of key offensive injuries doesn’t allow an accurate assessment to be drawn. The inability to replace the productivity lost from the injuries was significant. It changed everything
  16. Casey entered the Arky game and proceeded to go on back to back 10+ play 75yd TD drives. From that point up until the OU game in which he was injured, the drives he QB’d led to 23 TD’s vs 8 punts (6 of this punts coming vs OU). You can attribute the stellar #’s to the opponents lack of defensive quality all you want, but Casey had the offense rolling when he was healthy. yes, Casey was older in age…. But he didn’t have 4 years in the system (as you are claiming). Quinn will have the same amount of time to learn Sarks system as Casey did. Casey had 1 career start. Talent of Quinn > Casey
  17. Before injuries occurred, Texas had an elite offense last year. The QB for that team had 1 collegiate start and had from January-start of season to learn the playbook. Unless you are insinuating that Casey is just on a different level than our current QB room, I fail to see why someone like Quinn would not be able to atleast replicate what Casey was able to do
