    The Clash in Boston.

This is a type of shot that I always tried to get, but usually failed, when I used to shoot some concerts. It's tough to get the entire band in one shot in peak action with unobstructed faces.

  2. I'm not a big fan of "versatile" players the lined up everywhere, or are projected at multiple spots. If you're a great player they put you in one place and lock it down. When they move you around, more often than not, it's to cover up weaknesses. There are exceptions, but the Cowboys get bit by this quite a bit.

And the Cowboys need to be done with the discount refurbished prospects. That's why they keep needing to upgrade the same positions over and over again.

  3. If this were the first season I would quit watching at this point. That was not quality programming.

These can't be the same writers that were in on the creation of the show. They had to have been replaced by the staff from Alf or Who's The Boss or some other bad 80s sitcom. This isn't the same show, except for the name and faces.

  4. I pulled out the Vagicaster the other day, tried to fix up some problems in the finish that now don't seem fixable without ruining the whole thing. It's just a Korean made Squier, probably plywood, and the cheapass thin potmetal bridge block had just broke one day while just sitting there (I actually heard it pop one day). So the spring won't connect at the end spot, near the little e string. So a while back so I moved the spring to the next hole over. It tunes up just fine.

And the weird thing is, after I started playing it the other day I realized I really like the feel of the guitar way better than I had ever realized before. It plays nice. The frets are snappy and clean, it stays in tune (with the replacement split shaft tuners I had installed long ago). I should start actually playing it and get some wear on it. I could sort of relic the flaws out at some point in the future, but I'm not going to worry about it for a while. It was just an experiment anyway. But it's a useful guitar with it's own personality, a misfit like me, only far more useful.

I may get a new block someday, maybe a thicker one, or I could just swap out another Squier bridge, but I'll just keep it as is until it seems necessary.

  5. Yeah, they say they're simplifying one thing with the catch rule, which really doesn't come into play as much as it seems. But the lowering the head deal is going to cause a new level of frequent and monotonous stupidity and inconsistency in replay.

  6. Stopped at a little place in Troy today, The Lumberyard at the Troy General Store, just off I-35 on main. Nice small town atmosphere. Weird hours, only day to night hours on Saturday, closed Monday and Tuesday, closed early afternoon the other days.

Got some brisket and sausage. The only other meat they offered was pulled pork. The brisket was very tender and juicy, but it had a bit of an off taste in the back of it, like a hint of lighter fluid or something. Didn't have that sweet oak smoke taste that is signature to Texas barbecue, maybe pecan wood. The only smoker they had on premises was a small family size electric, which I assume was just a warmer for sausage and stuff. The sausage was very good, similar to Clem Mikeska's, old school finer cut German style, but had a bit of the same slight weirdness on the edge of it.

Slaw was very good, maybe a little too much dressing, and the green beans were decent, better than typical out-of-the-can.

If these folks had a real pitmaster they could kill it here. It's already better than anything in Temple just a few miles away. Despite the flaws in whatever is going on in their smoking process it was fairly pleasant, but really needed a sweet tasting drink or mint afterwards. The place has potential. One of you aspiring pitmasters should move in and take it over.

Moore definitely isn’t a combine warrior. Look at his career, and keep in mind he did this at Maryland with at least 5 different qbs (if I’m not mistaken). His combine elevated his draft stock, but Moore is a pretty accomplished college wr. I honestly wouldn’t hate that pick at 19 if Ridley is off the board. We might even be able to trade back and get him later in the first round, but he’ll probably be the 2nd wr off the board.

He's definitely had a good career. I'm just saying he's hitting the kind athletic measurements the Cowboys seem to prefer. They tend to undervalue guys with great tape and great instincts but average athletic testing.
