i didnt mean it that way. I am just excited for her. Sorry if I came across that way.

I'd be excited too. Those are a lot of badass schools.

I applied and got in to UWash but they didn't feel like giving me any money. Of the schools you listed I didn't have the grades for any of them. Probably could have taken a flier on UCLA - I got wait-listed at Chapel Hill.

I tutored SAT and ACT for quite some time and I promise you you are super super lucky. Most kids don't have the smarts to get into anywhere on that list - let alone the drive (something I always lacked).

I am excited for my daughter and wanted to share her application process to Texas. I am sorry if that offends you. I shared the other colleges she is applying to in part so I can interact with other parents whose kids are applying to the same places and also because I hope she chooses Texas over those schools.

The way you phrased it was douchey. Most people's kids aren't in the position your daughter is in. Not offended at all.

    and you're wrong as fuck.

    carry on...

Enough with the persecution complex. No one is saying anything bad about Lubbock. We're questioning the delusionists that think it is a "badass" college town. It doesn't even crack the top 10 in location in Texas - irrelevant schools excluded.

UT, SMU, Rice, Texas St., TCU, UTD, Trinity, Southwestern are all in far better locations by basically any metric you want to use.

If you want people to stay out of your thread then you need to quit pretending or you're going to get called out on it.

I had the League Pass for just the Warriors starting in 2013. But yeah, by 2016, it was like, "what's the point?" I do like the local broadcast crew way more than any ESPN or TNT talking heads, though (they're not as homerific as most local crews...or ESPN, for that matter). Oh well.

League pass is a disaster and always has been. /r/nbastreams my friend.

Zion has some tools to work with.  I'm still not sure about his shot but I also haven't seen him play since HS so he may have made some improvements there.  I think his drive will be what makes or breaks him.  If he wants to play like wiggins and be a great athlete that only tries when he see fits he'll make some money but will always be underwhelming.  If he has the motor of Ayton then watch out.  The guy can be really good.  If he gets his shot where it needs to be then he can be a really great player.  A lot of guys have shown the potential but then don't show the fire.  It's hard to be worth tens of millions of dollars and stay motivated like Lebron has.  That's why there aren't very many lebrons out there.

Good take. He looks great when he's overwhelming inferior athletes. It will be interesting to see how his game develops around the rim facing NBA shot-blockers.

His most NBA ready skills are his footwork, finishing, and handles (and rebounding I guess, but that's either something you're good at or you aren't. Not usually something you "improve"). And - you take those three things and inject it with superhuman athleticism - generally it makes for a good NBA player.

His shot is actually a good amount better than people think it is. He has good mechanics and isn't a great FT shooter but he will be more of a 70-80% a la LeBron FT shooter than a 50-60% guy I think.

An issue I forsee is creating the space that he needs to operate against NBA defenders. There will be times where he doesn't get that space - and I think that's where the "motor" aspect comes in. i.e. can he affect the game in enough ways when he's struggling getting to the rim? Can he bring down some offensive boards and throw a few dimes and make a couple steals every game - because he will need to at the next level.

Yes, but do you take time to remind OU fans of their shortcomings when they happen? I would certainly hope so.

So how does that work, just pick out a few? Ain't nobody got time for listing all the shortcomings..

I generally arrive at whatever the last postseason game they choked away was. But you're right, there's really too many to pick from.

Mack having more bowl wins at Texas despite coaching 4 less than Stoops at OU is a good one.

I agree 100%.  Never said it was a bad thing whatsoever.  The Shag Elite “I only fuck 10s” crowd is both nauseating and full of shit.

I also have an affinity for empty spaces and celebrating less than spectacular football, and as an ISU alum very much identified with that particular description of TTU.

No one is claiming to only fuck 10s. Pump the brakes chief.

There are some babes at Tech. I had a thing with a hot Tech transfer my Junior year. Just wrap it before you tap it amigos.

Your douchebag Tech buddy is starting plenty of shit. As he does in this thread.

Tech is the school in Texas that all the kids that are too dumb to get into any of the decent schools (atm included) go to and then they spend 4 years in the middle of fuck nowhere sleeping with 7s, probably getting herpes, and then cheering for a football team that has never won anything but random upsets.

Oh? Is that the Crabtree video? I'm over it champ. I hope you beat OU so we can ass rape you at home in front of a bunch of dumb fans looking for an escape from Lubbock, Texas.

  10. What makes anyone think Riley is ready to coach in the NFL? So far he's won a lot of games with Stoops' players and 2 transcendent QB seasons. I would see how OU handles the rest of the schedule before I give Riley the keys to the Camaro.

    Then again it's the Browns.
