  1. Can't even get up 20 by half. Really need Fox back.
  2. Two DUIs within 6 months in different states is fucking wild. That's going to be a nightmare for him to deal with and extremely expensive unless he just wants to go to jail for a year.
  3. Great basketball. Quick tangent - why is Sochan dressed like Hyde from That 70s Show?
  4. It's cool to see Jamal Shead be a part of Toronto's rotation. Not a lot of guys from Austin have cracked the NBA. That iniury he had in the tourney a couple years ago was fucking heartbreaking.
  5. Toronto played 5 hours later than us yesterday and had to travel. Not that surprised we are running them off the floor so far. Let's see if we can put 4 quarters together tonight.
  6. I don't know where you found this but those are division tiebreakers that assume that everyone has played round-robin within the division.
  7. Les could coach his balls off for a stretch there. He beat OU twice in four tries at Okie Lite and then instantly tore it up at LSU - who Saban had left in a good spot. He had over 20 years coaching experience - mostly in college - before LSU hired him. Ed O was promoted from within and had been a stud D Line coach going back to the 80s and had multiple, largely successful or competent stints as an AHC, DC and/or interim HC. He was obviously a fantastic culture fit with LSU and caught lightning in a bottle in 2019. LSU gave Sheppherd a director of player development job for a season after he retired (which isn't a real coaching gig) and since then he has been a position coach in the NFL for four seasons and been a D coordinator for eight games. He is wildly underqualified compared to both Les and O as well as Brian Kelly.
  8. Almost like it's the same group of posters every time.
  9. Have they considered that he doesn't know fucking anything about the higher-level aspects of running a college football program? I mean maybe he's a diamond in the rough but holy shit talk about rolling the dice.
  10. That seems like it could wind up being a total disaster. LSU needs to be really careful with the idea that anybody can just walk in and win there.
  11. I think that would be a good hire.
  12. Okay well Texas isn't hiring. I doubt that LSU goes back to the ND well. I think the fan reaction would be bad.
  13. This is correct. That doesn't matter because aggy doesn't play Georgia.

  15. I wish he'd leave that kid alone and go do something more sensible like shooting up a public safe-space.

My point is largely that parroting their 3 titles since 2000 as some reflection of the strength of their program over a program like Texas - while valid - isn't some all-encompasing metric. Since 2000 Texas has seven top-5 AP finishes to LSU's five. Texas has ten top-10 AP finishes to LSU's nine. LSU has a couple more conference titles (granted Texas was gypped out of one in 2008). They have overachieved when it comes to national titles while Texas has underachieved. Shit happens. It says something about how easy it is to win at LSU that they've done it with three different guys but prior performance isn't always indicative of future results. We just saw a guy faceplant there. There's no guarantee the next guy wins a title, either.
  17. I think his body is done. Unless he loses a ton of weight, but he won't because he's a rock head.
  18. Kind of a split flagship with UCLA. If you're talking athletically then obviously it's not LSU and there are schools by far worse than Cal - including a bunch that don't play FBS football.
  19. His parents named him Diego Paviiiiaaaaa. Which, of course, in Italian means a whale's vagina.

See my edit. The point is that they don't consistently get to some level that Texas struggles to reach. I mean fucking Herman almost beat their 2019 NC team. And Kelly has just proven that you can fail to reach that standard there. Think what you want about Kelly being a bad fit - he isn't some dipshit that doesn't know how to coach football.
  21. Taaffe out last week had a pretty obvious impact imo. Not sure he's the best player on our D but along with MM I think he's the most important. Ant is a monster but feels like you could kind of cobble together some of his production if he was out. Taaffe isn't a lockdown-cover safety but he is vocal and and on-the-field leader and is really good against the run game. We just don't have anyone to replace what he brings. All that said - hopefully with the film from last week and a week of prep we get some better safety play this weekend and guys get a bit more comfortable. From the initial timeline I'm assuming he misses another game?
  22. This is some silly shit to worry about. If this was a concern it would have revealed itself on Saturday. This is a flawed team but they play hard for 4 quarters and play for each other. Yes. He's got wheels. I guess we'll see what his pocket-presence is like, though.

Sure but it's a fine-line a lot of the time. Same for college basketball. Some teams have a ton of Final Fours without many titles, some teams bat like .800 once they make the Final Four. Texas has 4 NC-caliber seasons since LSU's 2007 title despite 13 years of desert-wandering. Including 2007, LSU has 2 titles and a NCG appearance (my bad - forgot they beat Bama in 2011 in reg season). They've made the CFP once. Texas is a better job. Who? The governor?
  24. I have Danny as the best verse on 1 Train. Not really any bad options, though.
  25. He wound up having a really nice game 😂 I still don't trust that guy. Flagg is the mf truth. Y'all may need to tear it down to the studs and rebuild though. All of your timelines are jacked up.
