  1. TO on the sidelines confirms the circus is the featured show in Boulder for the fall.
  2. Just drink the shit
  3. Ref shortages a real. I was at our scrimmage last Friday and afterwards I saw the Ref crew up close and I swear not one of them looked over 30. It was a 4A vs 5A scrimmage too and it used to be not too long ago, the young bucks were sent to officiate the 3A’s and down. There were a few calls that were missed and shouldn’t have been called and I didn’t see any of the coaches give them lip. I did see an older gentlemen out there in at time pulling a few aside after they through a flag and then afterwards talking to them as a group. It’s a shame a bunch of idiot fans drove you away from the fun. The consequences are going to rear it’s head if young buck crew like this one calls game at the higher levels where the game can be faster and a blown call causes a team to not advance in the playoffs.
  4. Agreed. I can think of bunch of schools that have moved up that were once regulars on the Javelinas schedule. Or teams they would see in the playoffs. One of them is Texas State which was SWT back at my time taking undergrad classes at A&I. That game was the first game of the season and would sell out both stadiums and then some. Ironically my daughter will be starting classes at Texas State tomorrow and we moved her in last weekend to the campus dorms. The staging area was the football stadium parking lot and the stadium today is a far cry from the stadium it was back when I went up to watch my first A&I/SWT game. That’s just one school of many that have moved up the greener pastures. Tarleton is another one where had you told me 10 years ago, they would get a premier slot on ESPN 2 on pre opening week in front of national TV audience, I’d say you were nuts. The worse thing to happen to that school was to become an aggy system school. It’s sad some levers can’t be pulled to get them out an into a new system. Considering UT already has two system schools in South Texas and A&M has three in addition to Kingsville with Corpus, Laredo and San Antonio and the UofH has a Victoria campus, Tech would be a logical choice.
  5. The upside is they are playing in the FCS in the Southland. They shouldn't try to fast track like UTSA did and move up to FBS or whatever they call it now. In fact stay there until the SLC dissolves as we know it or FCS changes drastically. And even then if FCS starts offering less scholarships to encourage some D2 schools to move up , they should stay there. I'm afraid though as a former Texas A&I student and longtime fan this will be another nail in the programs coffin. aggy has no interest in helping any other program under it's system other than Tarleton State right now. They've decided Tarleton is going to be their UTA or UTSA and roll with it. They have or are spending huge sums of money on both the academic and athletic side to give them that boost.
  6. UT 49 CSU 10 WR 277
  7. PSJA North has been the valley’s best team the past two seasons along with Edinburg Vela.
  8. Look like they are taking a page from the way UTSA rolled out their program. The Runners on the San Antonio area for a large chunk of their inaugural roster, It did the job to draw local and regional interest. It didn’t take them too long to attract from other areas of the state and nation for that matter and the roster became less local.
  9. Fuck this.
  10. Secondary markets be like......
  11. I I saw this at Greene Outfitters today and thought about buying it. . I fell like an old man at 52. We just moved in our youngest into her college dorm. We blessed with our first Grand Child in June and I take Cialis. I’m going to start wearing old man shirts but then I saw the price on this one and said no thanks at $196. I think Pancho Outdoors has a more affordable optiona?
  12. When it’s open
  13. Indeed they were. Now that assface is an NFL Ref. Go figure.
  14. Is Lowel Galindo is still employed by ESPN?
  15. Which major Texas based corporation spends ad dollars at both schools? Off the top of my head Texas Farm Bureau. That’s my guess for a sponsor.
  16. How is Billy doing? Been busy with work with no chance to sit down to see his propaganda
  17. Didn’t have to focus on conditioning and actual football stuff at the same time. Or at the least the conditioning you have to go through in August before full pads to get you back in shape. You would still do some lifting and running though. I’m glad the UIL did the right thing a few years ago and allowed Coaches to organize and operate summer workouts. Now because school start dates are creeping up to firdt full week in August they need to start Two a Days on the last Monday of July. Some are not even getting a full week of two a days in and coaches have to divide their time between getting their classrooms ready and football. Used to be those who taught would get in at least two or more weeks before classroom prep and in services began.
  18. Women’s Beach Volleyball is disappointing.
  19. They named a bread after us white boys from the RGV? LOL! I always kind of laughed when someone called me that.
  20. I recall when I was teen back in the mid 80's taking a flight from Dallas Love to Harlingen and upon approach to Harlingen it seemed like we were flying just above cotton fields not far from the ground for a significant distance before landing. I made a remark to passenger next to me and he just kind of laughed and said something to the effect that most of SWA pilots were former military and that was nothing for them. But that was then and this is now where software has taken over more of the cockpit and pilots are not necessarily being turned out in large numbers from the Air Force and Navy like they were during the Cold War era. Oh and Boeing planes kind of have issues too...
