    Outcoached

The Dline not keeping their rush lanes and we somehow having a game plan for Milroe scrambling but not for Gabriel is one of the biggest head scratchers. We have shown to do both very well this season, especially against a more athletic qb.
  2. Sacks have nothing to do with the run game unless you want to count Ewers sacks as “rushing attempts” like college does. Gabriel was ou’s leading rusher with 113 yards based solely on scrambles. Brooks had 130 yards. With his 30 yard long being a perfectly well blocked touchdown run to tie the game. We were running the ball on that dline pretty dang good in the second half. Agree to disagree.
  3. Lulz. Saying our Oline was getting pushed around in the run all game is just false. Brooks was averaging almost 6yrd a carry.
  4. Eh, not executing sucks but we’re still good on the line. Our Dline is still really good and I have no doubt that they flip the script next game. This is the only team in the conference that can run the up tempo on the level we saw today that diminishes our Dline. The Oline did a good job in the run game outside of the goal line bust but are also too hit or miss in pass protection. That shit needs to get fixed quick and Majors getting hurt ain’t helping.
  5. Murphy has been bulldozing people from that formation all year. Keep the same personnel in and realize they have to sell out on the run. It’s an easy play action boot/pass in the flat with Ou thinking run the whole way. With all that said, even with them selling out against the run in that formation, all we had to do was execute a block and it’s a touchdown. The goal line failure was a microcosm of how we played the game in key moments. All we had to do was keep a level head and execute like we’ve done all season. Instead we didn’t and OU was able to play above their talent level.

The quick game and up tempo nullified our Dline strengths and put all the pressure on the secondary and open field tackling. We can have depth for days but if they’re running up temp successfully it doesn’t matter because we can’t rotate. And All of the sudden they start to a have a little bit of a run game. Gabriel had the game of his life which needed to happen in order for them to have a shot. He was making the tough intermediate throws that he struggled with before this game. That’s not going to happen if we meet again.

The calls themselves were fine imo but the clock management put himself in that position to begin with. That’s where he fucked up. Ewers was dealing with or without tempo so there was no need to go up tempo when all we needed was a field goal to win it.

The servers on this site would have crashed in a nanosecond if we went for on 4th down and didn’t get it, leaving OU in great field position to drive into field goal range.
  9. We are obviously going to fall but you are acting like we are going to be unranked after this. The pac12 is fixing to eat each other. Michigan, Ohio st, and Penn st all play each other. Right now it’s only Georgia in the sec. We will definitely be in the playoff with 1 loss and a big 12 title.
  10. It was said all week that the only way OU has a chance is if we turn the ball over. They came out on fire and we couldn’t execute early. This game felt like a reversal of the 2018 game. Ou played above their talent level, we played below.
  11. Nice ending to a great series. The last little bit of dialogue between Ahsoka and Thrawn was a potent ending between the two. I did not see the reversal of Ahsoka and Sabine now being left behind but I’m here for it and ready to see where it goes. Also, Dave putting in a line from Huyang explaining why Kanans lightsaber is thin is hilarious. Each episode has been a tiny bit depressing each time Baylan is on screen. Just knowing he won’t be around for season 2 sucks. And now that the season is over and we end with him going on a journey, more than likely alone, makes me even more sad. We’ll see where the character goes in season 2 but it won’t ever be the same.
  12. @Rickylovesweed seeing Blue running the ball
  13. We should probably reward people with a timeout if they continue to compare this years team to the ‘05 team. Holy fuck
  14. I think it was Baylors first 4th down attempt where they tried to run it to the right and Sweat completely blew it up. Finkley stood up the tight end and basically set the edge. He does a good job in doing the dirty work that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet.
  15. Russell: Who do we want to fight? Each other or the others?
  16. I didn’t watch the the game but the stats show Daniels having 19 attempts and completing 14 for 130 yards. What did byu do to limit him?
  17. I agree with the ones about finding the right balance in the universe. I love Ahsoka and most of the series’s like it and want those types shows to continue. Now that we Andor, I love it because it highlights the more adult driven drama. It doesn’t need to be ground level stuff either. They can do the same type of show with bigger characters and still be good. Hopefully they continue to give us more Andor style of shows coupled with the Ahsoka/Mando/Kenobi to keep the balance there. Also can’t forget about Visions which is outside the box and pretty good, too.
  18. Highly suggest reading these novels if anyone is interested in Thrawn as character. His story arc with Anakin, Vader, the Chiss and Eli Vanto are really good and makes Rebels and Ahsoka that much better. The fact that he picked up details about Vader that led him to believe he might be Anakin, and later confirmed is pretty cool.
  19. The reasons are the same as they were when you first made the claim. There was really only one throw where a bama receiver made a catch while getting popped, and that was the two point conversion. Milroes first read was hardly ever there so that says something about their inability to get open. And you’re right, the offensive line never really gave him a clean pocket most of the night, but he still scrambled and his receivers could not get open down field. how many times has Texas lost to a quarterback, scrambling out of the pocket and hitting receivers wide-open down field, especially with less talented receivers than Alabama? You are so hung up on what Texas receivers didn’t do while ignoring what the Texas defense did do.
  20. Lars Mikkelsen is perfect as Thrawn. Master class in Rebels and here with live action Ahsoka. The oni gold style faced stormtrooper is an aesthetic I’m fully on board with. Give me more samurai elements in Star Wars!
