  1. Just sit it out for a little bit. You would be fully justified in tuning out the NBA for a while. You guys are always welcome in this community if you want to come and decompress or talk ball. If you want to root for the Spurs, welcome. We're happy to have you.
  2. Not that anyone cares, but I'll give my two cents: This fucking sucks as a sports fan for multiple reasons. I've seen a lot of my fellow Spurs fans liken this to the Kawhi bullshit, and I've seen it slapped down for reasons that I agree with. If I had to compare it to something I've never felt, it would be akin to the Spurs trading Manu after the 2005 season. Hear me out (Sushi Gloryhole). I'm not comparing their basketball skill. What I would compare is the love that the team's fans have for them respectively and the way they're exalted in the community. I can't think of another player in San Antonio history as beloved as Manu. Tim is/was the rock, but Manu was the heart. I assume that the Dirk/Luka comparison would be comparable here. Luka was overlooked in the draft and fell to the Mavs. He was a prodigy from day one. He's done things on the court that I've never seen an overweight, slow-ass motherfucker do. He's taken everyone in this league to school. He's won and lost in every way imaginable. And, he wanted to be in Dallas. He loved the community, and the community loved him. The Finals run last year was glorious, and when he came back this year you just knew they were gearing up for another run. I've had my heart ripped out of my chest multiple times. A few of those have been sports-related. 99.9% have been wins and losses. If my team had traded Manu at the height of his popularity and taken away from me the resulting years of his career, the championship runs and the incredibly hurtful losses, I would be beyond furious. This kid was supposed to be there for the long haul, a fixture in the Dallas community after he stopped playing. It doesn't matter if he wasn't the perfect player, he was perfect for the team they had built around him and perfect for the fans that adored him. And now it's gone. As I was driving home last night, I saw a kid riding his bike wearing a Dirk jersey. You could see the emotion on his face, trying to process what happened. We all get our hearts broken at some point, but it's supposed to happen on the court and field. It's a rude awakening when the business of sports and politics ruins what sports is supposed to be about. What happened Saturday night still has no plausible explanation and it's caused a lot of us to see nefarious conspiracies because they make more sense (and unfortunately might have some truth to them). I'm sorry to all of you who rooted for this team and I hope this works out for you in the long run. You guys deserved better than this.
  3. Start here, watch all 50. Should give you some insight. Stomp on your balls and hit yourself pretty hard for some indescribable loss pains. If you hate the sight of purple and gold, you’re starting to fit in. Piss on a picture of Kawhi Leonard and welcome to the dark side!
  4. All this fighting over some fuckwit named Kawhi.
  5. Hey Jimmy…
  6. Been dealing with kid flu sickness and noticed my shit i took just a few minutes ago smelt of chicken fried steak and fried okra. I knew something was up. Great job, Spurs people! Let’s go win some goddamn games.
  7. Don’t forget alleged rapist and NowThis enthusiast Kobe’s bitch ass demands that landed him in LA.
  8. Of course they’re going to approve it. The only reason Chris Paul’s deal got denied was that the league was running the New Orleans franchise at the time and had final say. If one team wants to debase itself for the benefit of another team, who are they to say no?
  9. What’s going to be hilarious is that on April 9th, there will be a stadium full of Mavs and Lakers fans simultaneously cheering a player wearing Lakers colors, while chanting “fuck Nico Harrison” in unison (just the Mavs fans on that last part). This is going to get very ugly, very quickly. Dude probably needs to go into witness protection.
  10. None of this makes any fucking sense. He’s either severely injured with no hope of regaining any semblance of his past self, or he told the Mavs he wasn’t signing the extension and that his preferred destination is the Lakers and they’re protecting him from the media onslaught, which they would have no reason to do.
  11. Spurs own the Mavs pick swap in 2030.
  12. I’m just thankful that when it was the Spurs turn to send the Lakers a generational player for pocket lint, they were told to fuck their own faces. Goddamnit, I fucking hate the Lakers.
  13. If the league even knew he was for sale, there would’ve been a feeding frenzy.
  14. Mavs bros, I am so sorry. The Lakers are to fleecing teams in trades as the Spurs are to drafting generational big men. It’s inevitable.
  15. It was nice to see Keldon and Tre have great games last night. Boost that trade value. I don’t know what the fuck has happen to Sochan offensively. There is no confidence whatsoever. Looks like me trying to score on Kris Clack at the rec center during pick up.
  16. Nah. Giannis was being a bitch. FML I'm defending Chris Paul.
  17. Lot of smoke that a Fox trade to the Spurs is imminent. Is Don Harris reputable? Dammit, Burdine.
  18. Why am I watching this shit? I could be jerking off, a drug addict, playing co-ed softball.
  19. Is that the dude who tried to fight LeBron?
  20. It’s better than the what we got.
  21. Yeah, we all know that we’re going to trust…checks notes…the process.
  22. I was going to come in a bitch but you guys got this handled.
