  1. It really is amazing how you can take what I said and spin it completely out of control with your own bullshit. You have had literally nothing of substance to say this entire thread just virtue signaling, pandering, and race baiting. If you really think this way you need to go home and have a really long and serious conversation with yourself.
  2. Only takes about 3 seconds of thinking to come up with a conclusion like that. Definitely a well thought out analysis.
  3. Because we have a lot of idiots who claim to care about the issues the players are expressing but they don't want to do anything other than shit on anyone who wants to have an honest discussion about what may disagree with their point of view. There are a lot of people just mining for morality points whether they are aware of it or not. Then you have other people who are just dismissive of the issues and tone deaf. It creates divide and a lot of nonsense that could be taken care of if people would just listen to views that are different then theirs without having an emotional response like "YOUR RACIST" or some bullshit like that. People are stupid and it's reflected on this board.
  4. Look man while I agree with you that this shit is getting massively overblown, I also think that is too narrow minded of a perspective to have on this. The players feel like the song and traditions are racist and they are using the leverage they have to change it. I'ts not necessarily that I have a problem with that. It's the constant "if you don't do what I say at this moment then you are a terrible person" thing that pisses me off. The University isn't just about the players, alumni, boosters, fans, etc... We are all in this together. But some motherfuckers are drawing lines in between everything to make that not the case. It's completely asinine and non productive. These players have a voice. And whether it's because it was brought to their attention just now or not is beyond the point. We should support them as a TEAM no matter what they do. If one player of the team feels this way we should reach out and try to understand. That doesn't mean that we should just agree and not think about every demand that is being made but we definitely need to have a long serious conversation about the issues. This fucking ridiculous ideological view point of you're either wit us or against us has to stop. We all bleed orange. A lot of you motherfuckers are just pandering and alleviating yourself of the responsibility to have the conversation by just agreeing with everything the players say, and anyone who goes against that is an asshole apparently. Most of y'all' need to go home and have a real long serious conversation with yourself about the nature of your own reality.
  5. Wrong. The Texas football program will go on with or without them. Not saying that's right or fair but that is the reality of the situation. Texas football will continue to get players regardless. That is the dumbest thing Iv'e ever heard. Please go back to the political board.
  6. Yea but what you "feel" is just that. That doesn't make your assessment accurate. When did everyone become a such vaginas?
  7. Yea I seriously doubt "every" black athlete is going to enter the transfer portal. This relies on the assumption that they all think the same way which is beyond retarded. Tim Crowder was an awesome player but his head is firmly up his own ass if he believes that is a possibility. And transfer where btw? To another place where they will find something racist and make the same demands? We are hunting ghosts at this point.
  8. You especially have no room to talk when it comes to this. The only thing you have responded to me has been with emotions and feelings. You sir are a hypocrite.
  9. You graduated 9 years ago and you're already jaded and angry at young people? Your college experience must not have been very fun. Sorry, kiddo. I'm sad for you. My college experience was a blast. I've always been pessimistic about just people in general because most don't know how to think for themselves. And you have been proving me right in thinking that way with every single response.
  10. Yea it's obvious. I'm not the one calling people racist with no evidence to back that up. That's an emotional argument.
  11. While agree that it was really stupid for them to open things back up that soon, we are kidding ourselves to say that the protests didn't impact the spike. That's not realistic.
  12. Dude you are going way beyond the barrier of reality. You have no idea what my experience is with black people yet you throw all this emotional bullshit my way to make yourself feel better. Apparently you didn't read earlier when I said that I support most of the proposed changes being made. And actually if they went for something bigger that would create substantial change I would celebrate it like we had won 12 national titles in a row. You are extremely emotional and not operating within the realm of logic at all. Go powder your vagina for christ sake.
  13. I never said that anyone said it's going to solve all the problems. I said I don't know this is going to fix any of the problems. I said I don't know why we are expected to celebrate the demands that are being made when they are going for low hanging fruit. I said kids in general go for low hanging fruit that makes them feel better. Which is what this is. I'm allowed to have that opinion dude. My goal was never to convince you of anything. Iv'e said many times that I support their right to do this. I don't have to agree with every aspect of it though.
  14. Ok, racist boomer Translation: I'm not intelligent enough to have a counter point so I will throw out an emotional response like racist without any evidence because apparently I don't need it. Btw I'm not a boomer. I graduated from UT in 2011. You clearly never learned how to think.
  15. Wrong. My opinion has nothing to do with them being black. I am challenging the the foresight of young people in general. I get that this is what kids do but it doesn't change the fact that this is not going to fix any of the problems. If it makes them feel better then fine. I don't have an issue with that. I simply said I don't know why we are all expected to celebrate that like it's a significant accomplishment. Grow up and stop trying to pander and race bait. You are acting like a child.
  16. They may be enacting change but they are going for the lowest of hanging fruit and I don't know why we are supposed to celebrate that like they had just won 12 national titles in a row. Not saying they shouldn't do it but lets not act like they are changing the world with any of this. They are literally just making themselves feel better which again is fine.
  17. That's a moronic comparison to make. You say no one person is bigger than the University but apparently that doesn't apply to you if you play football. At least be consistent with your bullshit.
  18. Yea I guess I should just agree with you then everything would be ok. Whatever dude.
  19. It's all about compliance culture. They realize they have leverage right now and they are using it. I fail to see where compromise happens when people are demanding and screaming or tone deaf and dismissive but this is a little bit silly. It's gotten to the point if you don't immediately give into my demands then you must not care about them which is absurd. I'm all for most of the proposed changes but calling them demands for one already sets a bad precedent. Young people have gotten to this weird point of thinking that if you don't give into my demands then you are a terrible person. It only takes 3 seconds of thinking to come up with a conclusion like that. Sounds like he needs to go home and have a real long serious conversation with himself. The world doesn't revolve around Demarvion Overshown or any individual in particular. That being said, I hear his concerns and I support him being able to say whatever he wants. And I hope he decides to come back because I think he has a ton of potential.
  20. Do you know that or do you google know that?
  21. Your'e friend is not looking at things realistically. That's easy money for you my friend.
  22. The media also has a narrative that they run with and it has different sides to it depending on which one you watch. Once again if you think the media isn't at least a little bit fueling this or that the protests didn't have anything to do with the spike, you are not operating in reality.
  23. What I said wasn't dumb though. It was a perfectly rational point of view. If you think the media isn't at least a bit blowing this out of proportion or that the protests didn't have anything to do with the spike then you are kidding yourself.
  24. Yea and it all causes hysteria. I don't know how you can say they are worse than the media though. A few conspiracy nuts getting shit on by everyone doesn't hold near as much influence as the national media which is also fueling this in a lot of ways. I still find it hard to believe the protests didn't significantly impact the spike.
  25. Yea I'm not denying we opened shit back up way too fast and that definitely contributed too but protests definitely contributed heavily too. I don't care what the media says. Protests have way more people gathered together at once than restaurants, businesses, bars, etc. Talking about people by the hundreds and in some cases thousands. Though there are new studies out that suggest UV rays kill the virus so I could see that being a possibility in some areas if protests are being held in sunlight.
