  1. "Woke SJWs" is just a way to say "Liberals" without being directly political. This thread is the most political thread on the board currently. It's a proxy political battle starring a bunch of angry white men vs. the "Woke SJWs". What a god-awful thread by everyone involved. Especially the posts you have contributed. What a load of dog shit.
  2. Uh no. People are allowed to criticize the ridiculousness that this has been and it deserves a fair amount of mockery. The players have shit all over themselves and the team. Sorry you can't understand why people would be outraged at what happened yesterday. Guess you've never been apart of a team otherwise you would know how bad that looks. They just abandoned the only guy on the team who looks like he gives a shit and almost willed them to victory. They are soft pussies and people use the word "woke" because that's the nonsense word that has been used to start all this bs. They are here to play football. Nothing more and nothing less. But these guys look like they could give less a shit about football. The only thing you said that I agree with is that they represent Texas. And they don't do it well at all. You wanna argue that?
  3. It's not so much about the song as it is that these kids clearly don't have any respect for Texas which is sad because it's who they are supposed to play for. The culture is toxic, they play like scared bitches, and they are beyond soft. You don't just bow to the demands of 18-22 year olds. Wtf do they really know about hard times? They worship them so much now that they think that it's about them. They don't even know what the grind looks like.
  4. This shit again. Like I said back in the summer when this was first posted, if a song is "hurting" our players then I am extremely concerned about their mental toughness going forward and now look a the product. They are soft and it looks like Tom has let the inmates run the asylum now. They have the control and he looks like he's too much of a pussy to do anything about it. This is what happens when you spend all offseason worried about woke nonsense and not about football. These players say that they will play for their brother and they were willing to do the things the coaches asked of them and now I can tell that they aren't. Things will not change until their is an actual culture change that is committed to winning championships. What makes me laugh is the people on here doing all the pandering for morality points want Urban Meyer to coach at Texas now. So hypocritical. I'm not gonna watch these vaginas anymore until they have an untoxic locker room. Truly is one of the saddest states Iv'e ever seen Texas football in. It's clear these players don't respect the name on the jersey. Fuck em.
  5. THEY ARE SOFT!!!! That's been the problem here since before Mack Brown left. It's not just the coaches. It's our whole program in general. They have a soft attitude and rarely ever play a full 4 quarters of good football. And then in games like today, they can't get out of their own way.
  6. Did you watch the game? That's the only source I need. They are soft and they make the same fundamental since pee wee level mistakes. They couldn't block, tackle, cover, and had a ton of special teams mistakes. They also had over 100 yards in penalties. Doesn't seem like we focused too much on FOOTBALL this offseason.
  7. The DB's were beyond terrible.
  8. Apparently you missed the part where our secondary couldn't cover a dead man. I agree that LB is the biggest weakness on defense but that secondary couldn't cover or tackle at all. Not sure what the LB's have to do with that.
  9. This is what happens when you spend all offseason worried about woke nonsense. BJ Foster quit in the middle of the first game and not only did they let him back on the team but he played a lot in the Tech game. It was some of the worst effort I've ever seen from a db at Texas. Ehlinger bailed us out and he's the only reason to have hope this season. Im on the fire tom train now. Especially with the stupid mistakes we continue to make on special teams and just the overall attitude of the team. We play like scared bitches. Not championship level at all.
  10. No. This is like the dumbest take Iv'e ever seen.
  11. I mean I like what Iv'e seen on tape and what he's done in practice but he's not a baller until he proves it in game action.
  12. Wrong. I said you can only get offended by words if you allow it. Words matter less than almost anything on the planet. I said that not all black people think the same way about this as you, which is also true. Can see you still haven't let this go so words obviously matter to you. I just think it's silly and trivial.
  13. I remember after this game that tool Trev Alberts said Texas wouldn't have won this game without Vince Young and I was like what fucking game were you watching? The defense held them to 7 points if I recall correctly.
  14. There's a really cool thing called message boards where people say stupid things and for free.
  15. I see what you are saying but I think you are assuming a lot. Lot's of older people really liked the Jamail family for one. Whether you view that as a compromise or not is on you. What should we call it? There were demands made, some were met and some weren't. That's negotiation and compromise. There's nothing wrong with that language. Your'e being too sensitive over nothing. I don't think people look at the players as SJW's just because they have had some unreasonable demands. Not sure how this is framed as hostile other than in your own head maybe.
  16. This is kind of a ridiculous perspective. No one had to give the players anything but administration chose to listen and compromise came out of it. The eyes of Texas was probably never negotiable in reality. But to act like that both sides didn't come together with adequate comprise is ridiculous. Everyone should be happy with the changes that were made. That's progress. I'm sure that's not the last we will hear about this issue but this is how negotiations work. This isn't the last time these players will have to have negotiations in life either.
  17. Dude don't feed this prick. He's obviously had his head shoved firmly up his own ass this entire thread.
  18. Na I'm not a fan of making people do something they don't want to. Say they win every game. Would you still feel the same way?
  19. Yea I stopped caring about the Heisman the year Vince got shafted. It was obvious to me then that awards are stupid. VY was clearly the best player in the country that season hands down. It made me smile when they offered it to him when Bush got it taken away after the sanctions and Vince just said "na ya'll can keep that."
  20. Exactly. Negotiations are just a part of almost every aspect of life. You have to learn that for progress to be made that you don't always get your way. Unfortunately too many people today think if you don't give into their demands then you are a terrible person especially when it comes to sensitive issues like these. Growing up is hard but overall I'm proud of the way the players and administration handled the situation.
  21. Yea its just tradition. What's special about it is subjective. That being said, I think you're correct that I don't think anyone should care if they go back to the locker room while the fans sing it. Hell personally, I wouldn't care if they gave everyone the middle finger while going back to the locker room if we win all the games.
  22. You mean like you just did? The people that comment on what he said are entitled their opinion too.
  23. Yea I mean he has every right to feel that way but I never heard about him having any beef with it when he was here. Maybe I missed something but I never expected everyone to be fully on board with it staying.
  24. Yea but to be fair what he is saying is there were a lot of people on here who were assuming how all the black players felt because there's this weird belief some have that all black people think the same way. He's just pointing out the hypocrisy of the pandering and virtue signaling by those clowns.
  25. Can't control what everyone does. I support him in his decision either way. Just glad the song didn't become a part of cancel culture for now.
